Abstract

This study examines the compliance level of taxpayers in paying Land and Building Tax (PBB) in Surabaya City, a significant source of local revenue. The research aims to identify factors influencing taxpayer compliance and assess the effectiveness of existing tax administration services. Using a qualitative descriptive-analytical approach, data were collected through in-depth interviews, observations, and documentation. The findings reveal varied compliance levels across different UPTB areas, with key influencing factors including tax awareness, service quality, and enforcement of penalties. This study contributes to understanding taxpayer behavior in urban settings and offers insights for policymakers to enhance tax compliance through improved service quality and targeted educational campaigns.

Abstract

This study was conducted to analyze the influence of economic growth, education level, unemployment, and poverty on the Human Development Index (HDI) in East Java Province for the period 2013-2022. This study used quantitative methods with secondary data from the Central Statistics Agency (BPS). The analysis was conducted through multiple linear regression with the classical assumption test, F-test, and t-test to determine the simultaneous and partial effects between variables. The results showed that economic growth and the unemployment rate did not significantly influence the HDI. Conversely, education level had a significant positive effect on the HDI, while poverty had a significant negative effect. These findings confirm that improving the quality of education and reducing poverty levels are key factors in improving human development in East Java.

Abstract

This study aims to identify the influence of the open unemployment rate, poverty rate, and economic growth on the Human Development Index (HDI) in Sleman Regency. Data from 2011 to 2020 were analyzed to understand the relationship between independent variables and HDI as the dependent variable. The multiple linear regression analysis method was employed, supported by classical assumption tests such as normality, autocorrelation, multicollinearity, and heteroskedasticity. The results indicate that the open unemployment rate and the poverty rate have a significant influence on HDI, while economic growth does not have a significant impact. Simultaneously, all three variables collectively affect HDI. Policy implications include the crucial role of the government in improving infrastructure and providing education to the community. It is suggested that the community supports government programs for progress and welfare. Further research can explore additional variables influencing HDI. This study contributes to understanding the factors influencing human development in Sleman and can serve as a foundation for future research.

Abstract

Kecamatan Wonokromo di Kota Surabaya merupakan daerah dengan aktivitas ekonomi yang beragam dan padat penduduk. Berbagai Usaha Mikro, Kecil dan Menengah (UMKM) tumbuh pesat di sektor kuliner, kerajinan tangan, jasa, perdagangan, dan industri kreatif. Namun ada beberapa tantangan yang dihadapi oleh pelaku usaha di kecamatan Wonokromo, salah satunya yaitu mengenai persaingan usaha yang semakin ketat. Program UMKM Naik Kelas yang diinisiasi oleh Pemerintah Kota Surabaya melalui Dinas Koperasi Usaha Kecil dan Menengah serta Perdagangan bertujuan mempercepat perkembangan UMKM lokal melalui beberapa inisiatif strategis. Program ini mencakup pendampingan dan pemasaran digital. Oleh karena itu, dengan adanya pendampingan Usaha Mikro, Kecil dan Menengah (UMKM) oleh mahasiswa Magang dan Studi Independen Bersertifikat (MSIB) di Dinas Koperasi Usaha Kecil dan Menengah dan Perdagangan (Dinkopumdag) Kota Surabaya ini diharapkan mampu untuk membantu para pelaku usaha terutama di kecamatan Wonokromo untuk meningkatkan kualitas usahanya melalui manajemen usaha dan legalitas usaha menuju UMKM naik kelas. Pendampingan ini meliputi berbagai aspek, seperti manajemen keuangan, strategi pemasaran, pengelolaan sumber daya manusia, serta penggunaan teknologi informasi dan digital. Metode pendekatan yang digunakan dalam pendampingan UMKM di Kecamatan Wonokromo oleh mahasiswa MSIB Dinas Koperasi Usaha Kecil dan Menengah dan Perdagangan Kota Surabaya yang dilaksanakan selama 4 (empat) bulan adalah pendekatan praktis dan parsifatif. Dari kegiatan pendampingan UMKM di Kecamatan Wonokoromo Kota Surabaya ini diperoleh beberapa kesimpulan. Keseluruhan, kegiatan magang di Dinas Koperasi Usaha Kecil dan Menengah dan Perdagangan Kota Surabaya dengan posisi pendamping UMKM di Kecamatan Wonokromo menunjukkan bahwa pendampingan yang fokus pada aspek manajemen usaha dan legalitas usaha dapat secara signifikan membantu UMKM dalam meningkatkan kapasitas, kualitas, dan daya saing UMKM.

Abstract

Digital transformation in Islamic banking is a key strategy for delivering efficient, fast, and relevant services to modern society. One service significantly impacted is the Hajj savings product, which can now be accessed through digital platforms such as Bank Syariah Indonesia's (BSI) Byond Mobile app. This community service activity aimed to evaluate the optimization of digital-based Hajj savings services at BSI's Surabaya Manukan branch. The method used was a descriptive qualitative approach, with data collected through field observations, informal interviews with bank staff, and documentation of service activities. The results of the community service program showed that the use of the Byond Mobile application accelerated the account opening process, reduced administrative errors, and increased customer convenience and trust. Furthermore, the involvement of student interns supported digital literacy among customers unfamiliar with technology. This program not only benefited the community but also provided students with practical experience and a meaningful role in improving Sharia-compliant public services. The findings of the activity recommended strengthening digital literacy and technical training to enhance the effectiveness of similar services in the future.

Abstract

This research deeply explores the relationship between public awareness in paying taxes and its impact on increasing local revenue realization, a crucial aspect in the sustainability of regional development. In this context, the research employs a descriptive qualitative approach, which allows for an in-depth understanding of the dynamics at play, with a focus on secondary data analysis of local revenue realization. The main findings of this study underline the existence of a significant positive correlation between the level of public awareness in paying taxes and the increase in local revenue realization. More specifically, this study highlights the effectiveness of the *door-to-door* strategy as a highly influential method in raising public awareness of their tax obligations. This approach allows direct interaction between tax officers and taxpayers, which has proven to be effective in increasing public understanding, compliance, and ultimately, contribution to local revenue. In addition, this study also identified other factors that influence people's awareness in paying taxes, such as level of education, understanding of the benefits of taxes, and trust in local government. The implications of this study suggest that a more personalized and educative approach, such as the door-to-door method, is crucial in raising tax awareness. Overall, this study provides valuable insights into the importance of public awareness in paying taxes for increasing local revenue realization. The findings of this study can be the basis for local governments in formulating more effective policies and strategies to increase public awareness and compliance in paying taxes, so that in the end it can support sustainable regional development.

Abstract

International trade in export and import activities can benefit each countries and can be a form collaborations and communication between countries. One of the export commodities in the Indonesian livestock sector is swift's nest. With production reaching 79.55% of world SBW production, making Indonesia the world's largest SBW producer. Chinese people use SBW as the main ingredient for luxury food and the development of herbal medicines in China. So it can be said that commodities from Indonesia have the opportunity to be included in the list of export commodities to the Chinese market. However, in perfecting export market mapping, it is important for exporters to see market potential or market segmentation and commodity competitiveness in the Chinese market. This research uses a descriptive method qualitative approach to find out whether the swift's nest commodity can be exported to China, whether this commodity has potential and have competitiveness in the Chinese market. The result of this study, through the results of data analysis on the tradepmap regarding countries supplying swift's nest to the Chinese market, it can be concluded that Indonesia is able to market its swallow's nest commodities in the Chinese market. Indonesia is able to compete with Malaysia, which is also the largest exporter of swift's nest in the world. With the productivity of swift's nest in Indonesia continuing to increase every year.

Abstract

Urban farming, praktik menanam dan beternak di wilayah perkotaan, memiliki dampak positif signifikan pada pertumbuhan ekonomi Indonesia. Dengan tujuan memenuhi kebutuhan pangan lokal, menciptakan sumber pangan berkelanjutan, dan mengurangi ketergantungan pada impor, urban farming memberikan kontribusi pada ketahanan pangan dan kemandirian ekonomi. Meskipun masih dalam tahap awal di Indonesia, kesadaran akan pentingnya urban farming semakin meningkat. Kualitas Sumber Daya Manusia (SDM) menjadi krusial dalam konteks urban farming. SDM yang unggul mampu mengembangkan praktik ini secara efisien dan inovatif. Dalam mendukung pelaku urban farming, sebuah aplikasi konsultasi chat dirancang untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan dan keterampilan, berkontribusi pada pertumbuhan ekonomi, dan ketahanan pangan. Metode penelitian menggunakan analisis studi pustaka untuk membangun dasar teori yang mendalam. Hasil tinjauan literatur menunjukkan bahwa SDM berkualitas dalam urban farming memberikan dampak positif pada pertumbuhan ekonomi. Oleh karena itu, aplikasi chat konsultasi urban farming dirancang untuk menghubungkan pelaku urban farming dengan ahli pertanian, memfasilitasi pertukaran ide, dan memberikan solusi cepat melalui fitur chat dan deteksi penyakit tanaman. Aplikasi ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan pengguna, kualitas SDM, dan pada akhirnya, kontribusi pada pertumbuhan ekonomi dan ketahanan pangan Indonesia.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to identify leading sectors, understand the characteristics of economic sectors, understand the grouping of economic sectors and understand the role of economic sectors in regional economic recovery and increasing economic growth. The research method used in this study uses quantitative analysis using the LQ, MRP and Klassen Typology analysis methods, followed by overlay analysis to reach conclusions. According to the results of the calculation of Trenggalek and Pacitan Regencies, 9 sectors and 8 sectors of the LQ calculation base, 10 sectors and 7 sectors are superior to the acquisition of MRP calculations, 5 sectors and 5 sectors are included in quadrant I of the Klassen Typology acquisition. Based on these results, Trenggalek Regency has a real estate sector, education services, and health services while Pacitan Regency has a construction and other services sector which is one of the sectors that achieved positive results in the three research methods. Therefore, according to the overlay analysis, it is a leading economic sector that can be used to drive the economy due to the covid pandemic.
