Abstract

In the field of microbiology, the counting of bacterial colonies is fundamental and mandatory. This is done to estimate the number of bacterial cells in every 1 milliliter or gram of sample. The counting takes a long time and is tedious, so it requires an accurate and fast counting method. The image quality used is very low and contains noise. Therefore, a preprocessing method is needed to reduce the noise. The Perona-Malik filter method is known to be able to remove noise well. However, it is difficult to determine the appropriate gradient threshold parameter ( ) for each different image. To find the appropriate value of , the original Sobel Mask method and Sobel Mask Fractional-Order are used to estimate the value of . The experimental results show the results of noise reduction using PMD with a value of  from the original Sobel Mask and Sobel Mask Fractional-Order. The results of the accuracy of determining the value of k with the Sobel Mask Fractional-Order (α=1.0) show higher results based on the F-Measure values for samples 1, 2, and 3 respectively 97%, 98%, and 90%.

Abstract

Interactive learning media is one manifestation of the use of information and communication technology in the field of education. One part of the use of information technology is Augmented Reality, where the use of Augmented Reality in education is still lacking. Education is not only for those with normal physical abilities, but all people have the right to receive an education that is general, as well as children with special characteristics, such as deaf students who are at SLB Negeri 1 Palopo. Deaf students are students who have lost the ability to hear which hinders the process of language information through hearing, because of these limitations the teaching and learning process will become an obstacle, so other media are needed to visualize the alphabetic sign language code so that it can be learned easily and interactively. Augmented Reality is the right technology to overcome this. The implementation of Augmented Reality is used for Android mobile devices with the Multimedia Development life Cycle.

Abstract

This research focuses on the importance of accounting information systems in the retail business, with a case study on CV. Mutiara Sejahtera. We use qualitative methods and development cycle systems to understand the needs and overcome the constraints in managing a financial company. With business growth, managing data receipts, transactions, and expenses becomes complicated. A more integrated accounting information system is implemented to record and process data more efficiently. This helps reduce human error and provides better financial reports. The results of the implementation of this new system provide benefits for CV. Mutiara Sejahtera. Finances are managed more efficiently, and more accurate reports help decision-making. Thus, the implementation of an integrated accounting information system has the potential to support business growth and build operational transparency.

Abstract

Education is a universal right, including for children with special characteristics such as deaf students at SLB Negeri 1 Palopo. To support their learning, the use of interactive learning media based on information and communication technology, such as Augmented Reality (AR), is an effective solution. This Community Service aims to implement AR as an interactive and effective sign language learning medium for deaf students. This Community Service involves the introduction of student learning activities in sign language learning and the development of AR-based learning media products. The product is a mobile application that can be accessed using an Android mobile device. The implementation of learning media is carried out through the introduction of application features to teachers and students, as well as direct trials involving parental participation. The use of AR technology in learning media is also considered to provide an interactive and interesting learning experience for students. The implementation of Augmented Reality as an interactive sign language learning media at SLB Negeri 1 Palopo provides positive benefits in the learning of deaf students. This AR learning media can improve students' understanding of sign language in a more interactive and fun way. It also shows the potential of using technology in expanding educational accessibility for students with special needs, such as students who are deaf.

Abstract

Providing education regarding the role of professionalism and ethics in achieving career success, especially for students. Professionalism and ethics play a crucial role in preparing students to enter the world of work successfully. Professionalism is defined as attitudes, behaviors and skills that reflect competence, responsibility, integrity and cooperation in the work environment. Meanwhile, ethics refers to the moral principles that govern behavior and interactions in the workplace. Important aspects of professionalism and ethics at work. First, professionalism involves maintaining integrity by demonstrating honesty, consistency, and respecting the professional code of ethics. Second, responsibility is a key factor in career success, including respecting deadlines, respecting obligations to work, clients, or teams. Third, cooperation is an important skill in achieving career success, including the ability to work in teams, listen, and communicate well. Several ethical aspects at work, respecting privacy and confidentiality, avoiding conflicts of interest, complying with laws and regulations, avoiding discriminatory behavior, and providing high quality services are ethical principles that need attention. By understanding the role of professionalism and ethics in work, students will be able to prepare themselves well to face challenges and achieve their career goals. By adopting good professional and ethical attitudes, they can build a good reputation, earn the trust of others, and expand their professional network.

Abstract

K3 assistance focuses on optimizing work performance through the implementation of effective K3 practices. This involves training college and female students on relevant safety measures, understanding risks, and adhering to safe work procedures. Through intensive assistance, students can acquire the knowledge and skills needed to carry out their duties safely. In addition to improving performance, K3 assistance also improves employee work efficiency. By ensuring a safe and healthy work environment, OSH assistance encourages a sense of comfort and trust in the workplace. This has a positive impact on productivity, motivation, and job satisfaction. This approach also pays attention to aspects of psychological wellbeing, such as managing stress, increasing resilience, and creating a positive work climate. K3 assistance for work success also involves effective communication between management and employees. Through open and transparent dialogue, challenges and problems related to OSH can be identified and overcome together. This assistance also includes monitoring and evaluating the implementation of K3 practices, so that necessary improvements and adjustments can be made.

Abstract

Education is a process that involves imparting knowledge, skills, and values to students by more experienced or knowledgeable educators. The aim of education is to improve students' understanding, knowledge, and skills. The educational process involves interaction between teachers and students and can be done through various methods, including the use of learning media. Learning media refers to tools, resources, or methods used in the learning process to help students understand information better. Learning media can be physical objects or digital media, such as textbooks, videos, animations, or educational software. The aim of using learning media is to increase the effectiveness of learning by presenting interesting, interactive content and making it easier to understand concepts. In the context of citizenship education, interesting learning media can help students understand topics such as country history, government systems, citizens' rights and obligations, democratic values, global perspectives, and social and political involvement. One form of effective learning media is educational games, which can provide an interactive and fun learning experience for students. In implementing interesting learning media, there are several obstacles faced by teachers and students. Some of these obstacles include incompatibility with learning materials and objectives, lack of digital skills, lack of training and support, difficulty in adapting to student needs, and the time and preparation required. To overcome these obstacles, steps that can be taken include implementing training and skills development for teachers, encouraging collaboration between teachers, developing relevant and interesting content, understanding students' needs and learning styles, and encouraging innovation and creativity in media development. learning. Through the implementation of these steps, it is hoped that citizenship learning at SMKN 1 Makassar can become more interesting, interactive, and effective. Teachers and students will have a more enjoyable and meaningful learning experience, thereby increasing their understanding and involvement in citizenship education.

Abstract

Pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini berfokus pada implementasi pelatihan literasi digital untuk penulisan ilmiah di kalangan mahasiswa STIKES Mayapada. Menggunakan pendekatan Participatory Action Research (PAR), kegiatan ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan keterampilan mahasiswa dalam menyusun artikel ilmiah melalui pemanfaatan teknologi digital secara efektif. Pelatihan mencakup berbagai aspek, termasuk pencarian literatur digital, manajemen referensi, dan persiapan naskah untuk publikasi di jurnal nasional. Metode yang digunakan meliputi klinik pembinaan, di mana mahasiswa menerima bimbingan tentang aspek teknis dan substantif penulisan ilmiah, serta instruksi tentang penggunaan alat digital untuk penulisan akademik. Hasil pengabdian menunjukkan bahwa meskipun mahasiswa memiliki minat tinggi, pemahaman awal mereka tentang penulisan ilmiah dan literasi digital masih terbatas. Namun, program ini berhasil meningkatkan pemahaman dan antusiasme mahasiswa, menghasilkan 10 draf artikel yang siap untuk proses publikasi selanjutnya. Tantangan yang dihadapi selama kegiatan termasuk kurangnya kepercayaan diri mahasiswa, pengetahuan metodologi penelitian yang terbatas, dan kesulitan dalam mengakses serta menerapkan prinsip-prinsip penulisan ilmiah. Kesimpulan dari pengabdian ini menekankan pentingnya pelatihan literasi digital yang berkelanjutan dan pembentukan forum ilmiah mahasiswa untuk mengembangkan keterampilan penulisan ilmiah yang berkelanjutan di era digital

Abstract

Optimalisasi kompetensi tenaga kesehatan dalam manajemen gangguan respirasi sangat penting untuk meningkatkan kualitas pelayanan medis, terutama mengingat tingginya prevalensi kasus seperti Acute Respiratory Distress Syndrome (ARDS), pneumonia, dan COPD. Namun, banyak tenaga kesehatan menghadapi keterbatasan pelatihan berkelanjutan yang relevan dan berbasis teknologi. Mitra Pada Kegiatan PKM ini adalah Puskesmas Maroangin di Kecamatan Telluwanua, Kota Palopo, Sulawesi Selatan, dengan 30 tenaga kesehatan. Fokus permasalahan Mitra yaitu minimnya akses terhadap media pembelajaran interaktif, seperti video edukasi klinis, serta penerapan protokol manajemen respirasi yang belum terstandar, turut menjadi kendala. Masalah ini sering kali berdampak pada tingginya tingkat kesalahan prosedural dan kurangnya kepercayaan diri dalam menangani kasus-kasus kompleks. Untuk mengatasi permasalahan tersebut, program ini dilaksanakan dalam tiga kegiatan utama: seminar kasus gangguan respirasi, pelatihan dan pendampingan pengembangan video edukasi klinis, serta pendampingan manajemen gangguan respirasi pada pasien. Seminar kasus difokuskan pada pemberian pemahaman teoretis dan diskusi interaktif berbasis kasus nyata. Pelatihan video edukasi klinis bertujuan untuk membekali tenaga kesehatan dengan keterampilan teknis dalam membuat video pembelajaran berbasis prosedur medis. Pendampingan manajemen gangguan respirasi berfokus pada penerapan protokol berbasis bukti, penggunaan alat bantu medis modern, dan evaluasi kasus nyata. Hasil pelaksanaan menunjukkan peningkatan pengetahuan dan keterampilan tenaga kesehatan di Puskesmas Maroangin. Peserta seminar melaporkan kepercayaan diri yang lebih tinggi dalam menangani gangguan respirasi, didukung dengan pengetahuan protokol terbaru. Pelatihan video edukasi menghasilkan media pembelajaran berkualitas yang dapat digunakan secara mandiri. Sementara itu, pendampingan manajemen respirasi berhasil mengurangi kesalahan prosedural dan meningkatkan hasil klinis pasien. Program ini memberikan solusi komprehensif untuk meningkatkan kompetensi tenaga kesehatan di fasilitas dengan keterbatasan sumber daya, melalui pendekatan berbasis teknologi dan intervensi langsung.

Abstract

Kegiatan Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat (PKM) ini dilakukan bersama Pokdakan Minasa Sejahtera, sebuah kelompok pembudidaya udang windu yang berlokasi di Lempangan, Desa Botolempangan, Kecamatan Bontoa, Kabupaten Maros, Sulawesi Selatan. Kelompok ini terdiri atas 19 anggota yang menghadapi dua permasalahan utama, yaitu kurangnya pengetahuan terkait sistem sortir udang windu dan keterbatasan keterampilan dalam memanfaatkan teknologi sistem sortir berbasis image processing. Solusi yang diterapkan meliputi tiga tahapan utama. Pertama, penyuluhan sistem sortir udang windu bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pemahaman mitra mengenai pentingnya sistem sortir yang terstandar. Kedua, pelatihan dan pendampingan pemanfaatan aplikasi image processing, di mana mitra diajarkan penggunaan aplikasi untuk mendukung proses sortir secara efisien dan akurat. Ketiga, implementasi sistem sortir udang windu berbasis image processing, yang mengintegrasikan teknologi ke dalam proses operasional mitra untuk menciptakan sistem sortir yang lebih efektif. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan peningkatan pemahaman mitra terhadap sistem sortir berbasis teknologi. Pada tahap penyuluhan, peserta merasa materi yang disampaikan relevan dan bermanfaat untuk meningkatkan efisiensi produksi. Tahap pelatihan membuat mitra lebih percaya diri dalam menggunakan aplikasi, meskipun pendampingan tambahan masih diperlukan. Tahap implementasi menghasilkan peningkatan efisiensi dan akurasi proses sortir, meminimalkan kesalahan manual, dan mempercepat waktu kerja. Program ini memberikan dasar yang kuat untuk modernisasi proses sortir udang windu, sekaligus menjadi acuan penting untuk pengembangan dan penerapan lebih luas di masa depan.
