<![CDATA[This research was conducted to find out to what extent the level of the kelemen ceremony is being begun to experience extinction in Bongso Wetan Menganti Gresik village. The extinction of the lexicon was caused as a reason for conducting research to find out the loss and shifting of the ancestral culture of people of Madurese ethnic descents. The main factors are internally and externally from the local community. This study used a qualitative approach with the theoretical perspective of Alfred Schutz. The selection of the location for this study used a purposive technique, namely the people of Madurese ethnic descents from generation to the next generation. The villagers perform ceremonies have lasted hundreds of years. The study in which used in this reserach is called as Culture. The tradition of the Keleman ceremony is one of the cultures that has been being running in the village community which is of Madurese ethnic descents. <![CDATA[As part of this inquiry, the researcher evaluated the plot type of Incredibles 2, which was released in 2018. This study is to determine the many sorts of storylines that were employed by the writer in the motion picture The Incredibles 2 (also known as “Incredibles 2”), which is also known as “Incredibles 2.” The researcher employed descriptive approaches in order to describe and analyze the data that was obtained for this study. In order to gain a detailed description of the storyline in this movie, the researcher used a qualitative approach, and he or she also used descriptive techniques. The researcher continues by putting Robert Stanton’s notion about the storyline into practice. During the course of this investigation, the researcher came across four unique sets of pictures, namely two picture flashback charts. The researcher may come to the following conclusion after going through all of the information and analyzing it, because the events of the story take place of the data analysis, the author participates that the reader will have a better comprehension of the storyline of the movie Incredibles 2 after reading this research. The author thinks that the study that is offered here will be helpful to other readers as a resource for plot analysis.]]>

<![CDATA[This study is entitled “Representation Type of Hierarchy of Needs by Christian Grey in Fifty Shades Movie” which focuses on the type of Hierarchy of Needs presented by the main character in Fifty Shades movie. This study used a qualitative method to reveal the data. In the statement in question, the author analyzes how Christian’s Grey hierarchy of need is represented in the Fifty Shades movie. In this study, the writer only examines two movie sequels from Fifty Shades of Grey movie. Fifty Shades Darker and Fifty Shades Freed. Jamie Dornan who plays Christian Grey is the main character in this movie. The writer found a total of 19 data on the Hierarchy of Human Needs presented by Christian Grey. The writer analyzes the Hierarchy of Needs based on Maslow's theory. There are five Human Needs in Maslow's theory, namely Physiological Needs, Safety Needs, Love and Belongingness Needs, Esteem Needs, and Self Actualization Needs. Christian Grey has fulfilled all types of Human needs theory from Maslow.]]>

<![CDATA[This study provides a comprehensive analysis of the film "The Platform" through the lens of Marxist critique, focusing on its portrayal of social classes and the impact of the capitalist system on social relations. Using a qualitative content analysis approach, the study examines the film's symbolic elements, metaphorical significance, and key dialogues and interactions. The findings reveal how the vertical prison structure symbolizes social hierarchy, with opulent banquets for the upper levels and scraps for the lower levels representing wealth disparity. The random assignment of prisoners each month illustrates the arbitrary nature of social mobility in capitalist societies. Additional symbols, such as Miharu’s search for her child and the act of sending the child back to the top, highlight themes of exploitation and the potential for revolutionary change. The study also explores the metaphorical significance of the vertical prison, critiquing the illusion of meritocracy and the systemic barriers to social advancement. Key dialogues emphasize social tensions, power dynamics, and ethical dilemmas faced by individuals within an exploitative system. This detailed examination extends previous research by providing a nuanced understanding of how "The Platform" critiques capitalist ideologies and highlights systemic social inequalities. The study underscores the film's significance as a critique of capitalist social structures and its potential to inspire discourse on social justice and equity. Future research could explore the film’s impact on audiences and compare it with other dystopian narratives.]]>

<![CDATA[This research explores how discourse, actors, societal structures, power dynamics, and illocutionary acts play significant roles in shaping communication and influencing individuals' beliefs and attitudes. It emphasizes the importance of analyzing language and social interactions to gain a deeper understanding of how power and meaning are constructed and perpetuated in society. The researcher employed the concept of code-switching to interpret the film "The Judge" and derive insights into the dynamics of power within it. Social interaction and language were scrutinized through Communication Discourse Analysis (CDA), with van Dijk's Critical Discourse Analysis serving as the overarching theoretical framework, addressing core aspects such as grammar, metaphor, intonation, social cognition, and societal structures. A descriptive qualitative approach was utilized for data analysis. The film's script was referenced extensively. The researcher focused on the protagonist due to the significance of their remarks in shaping social relations and legal contexts. The investigation uncovered instances of power dynamics, including the manipulation and coercion employed by key figures. These protagonists exploited their authority within the community to dictate agendas.]]>

<![CDATA[Membangun budaya literasi dapat dilakukan dengan berbagai cara diantaranya melibatkan orang tua, keluarga, dan masyarakat sebagai inspirator untuk membangun budaya literasi. Kegiatan literasi belum menjadi sorotan utama dalam kegiatan PKK di wilayah RT 03. Literasi hanya menjadi bahan wacana bukan sebagai bahan agenda yang terlaksana dengan baik. Permasalahan lainnya yang dihadapi oleh mitra diantaranya yaitu: (1) kurangnya partisipasi PKK dalam menciptakan lingkungan rumah yang ramah literasi;(2) kurangnya kesadaran tentang arti penting keberadaan PKK sebagai penggerak dalam kegiatan masyarakat yang bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kesejahteraan sosial dan pendidikan; (3)kurangnya pemahaman akan pentingnya literasi untuk anggota keluarga. Adapun metode pelaksanaan program pemberdayaan dilakukan untuk menyelesaikan masalah mitra adalah dalam bentuk penyuluhan, pelatihan dan pendampingan untuk pemenuhan dimensi psikososial, psikomotor, dan tata kelola/manajerial. Solusi yang ditawarkan antara lain penyuluhan melalui; gerakan literasi, parenting; pelatihan, melalui; digital literasi, dan simulasi, melalui pembentukan pojok literasi. kelompok belajar dan pusat layanan pendidikan. Urgensi dari kegiatan ini adalah memberdayakan kelompok PKK guna menciptakan lingkungan yang ramah literasi melalui pembentukan pojok literasi terpadu di wilayah RT 03 RW 08 PBI Surabaya .Tujuan dari kegiatan ini diharapkan menjadi inspirasi baru dalam menciptakan budaya literasi. Dengan adanya lingkungan yang ramah terhadap budaya literasi tersebut RT 03 RW 08 PBI Surabaya memiliki keunggulan yang menonjol sesuai dengan kondisi dan kebutuhan warganya. Untuk mewujudkan maksud tersebut dibentuklah pojok literasi terpadu sebagai tempat untuk meningkatkan kemampuan literasi warga di wilayah RT 03 RW 08 PBI Surabaya. <![CDATA[Anggota PKK RT 7 RW 2 yang berada di Kelurahan Sememi Kecamatan Benowo Kota Surabaya adalah ibu-ibu yang hanya mempunyai kegiatan arisan dan simpan pinjam. Oleh karena itu dengan PKM ini kami akan mambantu memulai usaha makanan ringan agar para ibu PKK mendapatkan penghasilan untuk mengisi waktu senggangnya agar semakin produktif. Permasalahan pertama ialah mitra tidak mempunyai alat produksi yang modern dan higienis. Kedua, tidak berpengalaman dalam memilih bahan pengemasan dan mendesain label yang menarik. Ketiga, mitra belum mampu membuat rencana bisnis, pengembangan produksi dan pembagian kerja. Keempat, mitra belum pernah memasarkan secara online dengan memaksimalkan media teknologi informasi dalam aktivitas pemasaran. Solusi yang akan diberikan antara lain pengadaan perlengkapan produksi dan Pengadaan bahan kemasan yang modern dan higienis. Kemudian pelatihan dan pendampingan dalam membuat dan mendesain label produk yang menarik dengan bahasa Indonesia dan inggris. Dalam manajemen usaha akan diadakan pelatihan dan pendampingan dalam membuat rencana bisnis, pengembangan produksi dan pendampingan dalam pembuatan pembagian kerja. Dan yang terakhir dalam bidang pemasaran solusi yang ditawarkan ialah pelatihan dan pendampingan pembuatan akun media teknologi informasi untuk meningkatkan jangkauan pasar seperti Whatsaap, instagram, facebook dan GrabFood. Sebagai hasilnya ibu-ibu PKK RT 7 mempunyai UMKM dengan produk Healthy Banana Snack Cake.]]>

<![CDATA[The primary aim of this research is to thoroughly analyze the various types of struggles faced by the main character, Maquia, in the animated movie Maquia: When the Promised Flower Blooms. To achieve this objective, the writer employed a qualitative research method, in order to find the type of struggles that Maquia encounters throughout the narrative. The source material for this research was the movie itself, which was obtained from the internet via the website: https://kusonime.com. The data collection process involved several key steps: first, downloading the movie Maquia: When the Promised Flower Blooms; second, watching the film attentively; and third, taking detailed notes on the dialogues and scenes that specifically depict the types of struggles faced by Maquia. Through this analysis, the writer identified three distinct types of struggles based on Georgia’s struggle theory: Man vs. Self, Man vs. Society, and Man vs. Fate or Destiny. These struggles are evident in various aspects of Maquia’s journey, particularly highlighting the challenges she faces as a single mother. Ultimately, the research concludes that the struggles depicted in Maquia’s story serve as a poignant representation of the profound difficulties associated with single motherhood, underscoring the emotional and societal challenges that accompany this role.]]>

<![CDATA[Movies are a potent medium for learning, as they are not only accessible but also have the capability to shape behaviour and provoke meaningful conversations. It is crucial to recognize that not all cinematic content promotes positive examples; some scenes reinforce negative portrayals and harmful stereotypes. This study decisively examines the gender dynamics in the Walt Disney Company film "Brave," which exemplifies the persistent issue of gender stereotypes in media. The primary objective of this research is to assertively analyse the gender roles depicted in children's films, with a particular focus on Merida’s character in "Brave." A qualitative research approach is adopted, employing a thorough methodology that includes multiple viewings of the film, detailed summary readings, extensive note-taking, script interpretation, identification of key terms and dialogues, and review of pertinent academic journals and articles online. This study delves into the gender dynamics presented in the Walt Disney Company’s animated film "Brave," which serves as a compelling example of the lingering issue of gender stereotypes in media. The primary goal of this research is to critically assess the gender roles depicted in children's films, with a particular emphasis on the character of Merida in "Brave." It seeks to understand how Merida challenges traditional gender expectations and whether she ultimately conforms to established gender norms. The research questions are designed to scrutinize the characteristics of Princess Merida. The findings reveal that Merida embodies ten distinct masculine traits, illustrating her complexity as a character who defies conventional expectations of femininity.]]>

<![CDATA[Kegiatan ini mendukung salah satu bidang unggulan Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat yaitu Pembangunan Daerah dan Desa. Mitra dalam kegiatan ini adalah Remaja Pondok Benowo Indah RW 08. Remaja Pondok Benowo Indah RW 08 merupakan sekumpulan anak usia milenial yaitu 13 – 25 tahun yang berasal dari latar belakang pendidikan dan keluarga yang beragam dan kerap duduk sambil berbincang-bincang serta tidak lupa memegang gadgetnya. Masing-masing remaja memiliki alasan yang berbeda mengapa ia menggunakan gadgetnya, ada yang ingin mencari kesenangan atau hiburan, ada yang ingin memenuhi kebutuhan akan informasi dan ada juga yang sekedar memenuhi hasrat sosial mereka dengan berinteraksi di media sosial dan tentunya tidak luput dari game online. Hal-hal yang menyenangkan inilah yang memicu terjadinya seseorang dapat kecanduan dalam mengkonsumsi internet terutama media sosial dan game online.Tujuan kegiatan ini yaitu: 1)Meningkatkan pengetahuan dan keterampilan remaja akan literasi digital; 2)Meningkatkan kualitas remaja dalam menggunakan internet sehat;3) Pembentukan dan pemberdayaan kader remaja guna melanjutkan kegiatan sosialisasi dan pelatihan tentang literasi digital. Berdasarkan dari analisis situasi, dapat teridentifikasi tiga permasalahan prioritas : 1) Kurangnya pengetahuan dan keterampilan remaja akan literasi digital. 2) Rendahnya kualitas remaja dalam penggunaan internet sehat. 3) Belum terbentuk kader remaja sebagai agen penggerak literasi digital. Metode pelaksanaan program pemberdayaan remaja dilakukan untuk menyelesaikan masalah mitra adalah dalam bentuk penyuluhan, pelatihan dan pendampingan mitra untuk pemenuhan permasalahan prioritas.Solusi yang ditawarkan antara lain penyuluhan tentang internet sehat, pelatihan tentang literasi digital, dan simulasi tentang pembentukan kader penggerak literasi digital.]]>
