Abstract

Padang Loang, Botto Lai, is one of the areas in the Coppo Village which contains a Community Forest area called Sukkuru Mappoji. Within the forest area, there are areas that have not been developed and have the potential to become tourist KUPS. The location has the potential for waterfall tourism and a stretch of nature with a view of the City of Barru. Members of the Sukkuru Mappoji HKm Farmers Group do not yet have a site plan map that can be used as a guide in realizing the "tourism". The service method is carried out in three stages, namely a site survey, the design process, and the presentation of the design results. The resulting output is in the form of a site design map of the KTH HKm Sukkuru Mappoji KUPs tourism site. The results of the site design will later be very important for members of the Sukkuru Mappoji HKm in order to realize it in the field and the implementation of a tourism KUPS that can "become a new source of livelihood for them."

Abstract

Background: Musculoskeletal disorders (MSDs) are complaints that are felt when muscles receive static loads repeatedly for a long time, causing disorders in the form of damage to joints, ligaments and tendons. Objective: To determine the relationship between the level of knowledge about dental ergonomics and the occurrence of MSDs in students at Dental Hospital Hasa-nuddin University. Methods: This analytic observational study with a cross-sectional design included 83 dental interns and re-sidents. Assessment of MSDs were derived from Nordic body map (NBM) and a 10-items questionnaire was used to determine the level of knowledge regarding dental ergonomic. Data were analysed with the Spearman correlation test and Pearson chi square test. Results: The Spearman correlation test shows a value of 0.000 (p<0.05), which means that there is a significant relationship between ergonomic knowledge and the occurrence of MSDs among the respondents. Conclusion: Level of know-ledge regarding dental ergonomics, age, education, and the duration of work related with the occurrence of musculoskeletal disorders in residents and dental interns.

Abstract

Musculoskeletal disorders (MSDs) are the single most common cause of long-term pain and disability affecting hundreds of millions of people, which have been reported to be work-related. Dentist is one of the professions with the highest risk of de-veloping this disease. This study aims to see the level of complaints, assess the musculoskeletal risk and attacks in students at the Hasanuddin University Dental Hospital. A cross-sectional study was conducted on 83 residents and dental interns. A struc-tured questionnaire was employed to gather data, the Nordic Musculoskeletal Questionnaire (NMQ), Rapid Entire Body As-sessment (REBA) and Rapid Upper Limb Assessment (RULA), Quick Exposure Check (QEC). The data were analyzed using SPSS software (version 22) with Chi-Square significance and Pearson correlation test. Strong positive correlation was found between the existing incidence and risk (r=0.832) and there was a very significant relationship between incidence and MSDs (p<0.01). It was concluded that there is a relationship between ergonomic position and musculoskeletal disorders in students at HUDH. The high prevalence of MSDs and the high level of risk, as well as the attack rate based on REBA and QEC indicate im-proper and incorrect ergonomic posture habits.
