Abstract

Waste is generated from the activities of living organisms and is divided into organic, inorganic, and hazardous categories. Proper disposal of waste is crucial for minimizing environmental pollution. One effective approach is educating people about Zero Waste principles and implementing the 3Rs: reduce, reuse, and recycle. This activity involved repurposing mineral water gallons as bins for organic and inorganic waste. The PkM activity took place at SD YBPK Kota Kediri on April 26, 2024, targeting all students from grades I to VI, totaling 70 participants. The PkM was conducted using the Participatory Action Research (PAR) method and work performance evaluations. The outcomes of this PkM activity included increased knowledge among participants about identifying organic and inorganic waste, as well as heightened awareness of proper waste disposal according to waste classification.

Abstract

This research aims to determine "The Influence of Intellectual Capital and Leverage on Company Value with Profitability Variables as Intervening in Jakarta Islamic Indks 30 (Jii 30) 2016-2022". The JII 30 company share price index, in particular, is known for 2016-2022 to experience simultaneous share price fluctuations. This is thought to be the influence of the Covid-19 virus which has spread to the world economic situation. Consumption has decreased drastically, causing company profits to decrease. Automatically, the company's share price weakens. This type of research is quantitative research with a population of Semarang district residents. The data obtained is then processed using tools and then processed using IBM SPSS 21. The results that have been obtained from this research explain that the results of this research test show that: Variable intellectual capital has a positive and significant effect on company value. The intellectual capital variable has a positive and significant effect on profitability. The leverage variable has a negative and insignificant effect on company value. Variable leverage has a negative and insignificant effect on profitability. The profitability variable has a negative and insignificant effect on company value. Variable intellectual capital cannot mediate company value on profitability. Variable leverage cannot mediate company value on profitability.

Abstract

Nonparametric path analysis and biresponse nonparametric regression are two flexible statistical approaches to analyze the relationship between variables without assuming a certain form of relationship. This study compares the performance of the two methods with the truncated spline approach, which has the advantage of determining the shape of the regression curve through optimal selection of knot points. This study aims to evaluate the best model based on linear and quadratic polynomial degree with 1, 2, and 3 knot points. The model is applied to data with 100 samples and simulated data of various sample levels. The results show that the best model in nonparametric path analysis is a quadratic model with three knots, while the best model in biresponse nonparametric regression is a quadratic model with two knots. Biresponse nonparametric regression has a coefficient of determination of 88.8% which is higher than the nonparametric path analysis of 70.9%. The best biresponse nonparametric regression model is the model with quadratic order and two knots.

Abstract

Disaster response training serves as both a preventive measure and an investment in community safety and resilience. By equipping students with knowledge and skills in disaster preparedness, this training fosters a generation capable of protecting themselves and minimizing risks and losses. Indonesia's high vulnerability to disasters, particularly in Kediri City, which is prone to floods and earthquakes, underscores the importance of such training. The primary goal is to prepare students to handle emergencies effectively. Using the Participatory Action Research method, students actively participate in disaster evacuation simulations. The training was conducted on May 21, 2024, targeting all students in grades I-VI at SDN YBPK Semampir, Kediri City. Pre-tests and post-tests were used to assess the training's effectiveness, showing significant knowledge improvement, with post-test scores consistently higher. Statistical analysis confirms this with a significant difference (p < 0.001). The training has proven successful at SD YBPK Semampir, enhancing students' disaster preparedness. To sustain this impact, it is recommended that the training be conducted regularly, involve parents, and develop more comprehensive modules. These steps can strengthen disaster awareness and preparedness in schools and the community. Further development of this initiative should include in-depth needs assessments and improved training modules.

Abstract

Think-aloud is one of the transactional strategies that joint process of teachers and students working together to construct understandings of text as they interact with it. The aim of this thesis to investigate that do students who were taught by think aloud strategy has better achievement in the reading narrative text. Toward 23 total students of eight grade of Mts Al-azhar Malang, consist of 11 Males and 12 females of the sample, the researchers conduct the experiment research by distributing 20 pre and post questions of narrative text test. In finding, the mean of total reading test score of 23 students before being taught by using think aloud strategy is (55.43). After getting treatment, the mean score of students’ reading is (71.30). It means that the students’ score is improved. It means that there is significant effect before and after being taught using think aloud strategy toward students reading achievement of narrative text. Based on the result, it can be concluded that think aloud was effective strategy in teaching reading comprehension.

Abstract

The growth rate of inflation in Indonesia continues to increase from day to day. The inflation rate in Indonesia reached 1.17% in September 2022 which is the highest inflation rate in the last seven years. One of the causes of high inflation is caused by the increasing demand for motor vehicle fuel. Therefore, there is a need for appropriate action from the government in determining related policies. K-Means multivariate cluster analysis is a non-hierarchical cluster method that is popularly used, one of which is used in Machine Learning algorithms, especially Unsupervised Learning. The purpose of this research is to clustering that are priority distribution of subsidies in Indonesia based on the characteristics formed. The data in this study consist of the percentage of poverty, the percentage of total transportation, the percentage of transportation use, and the percentage of area. Data were analyzed using multivariate cluster analysis with the K-Means method. Based on the research results, information was obtained that the data fulfilled a representative sample with value of KMO >50%. In addition, there are 4 optimal clusters which are the results of the calculation of the Elbow and Silhoutte methods, so 4 provincial clusters are formed with their respective characteristics. Cluster 1 is a province that is highly prioritized to receive fuel subsidies, Cluster 2 is a province that is not highly prioritized for fuel subsidies, Cluster 3 is a province that is prioritized to receive fuel subsidies, and Cluster 4 is a province that is not prioritized to receive fuel subsidies.
