Abstract

Plastic waste is one of the wastes generated from human activities and is classified as inorganic waste. Inorganic waste is difficult or cannot be decomposed, especially if the plastic is made of non-biodegradable materials. The increase in plastic waste is one of the problems faced by all parties and can threaten environmental sustainability. Efforts that can be made to minimize plastic waste are to recycle plastic waste into valuable products, such as planting media. The purpose of this community service activity is to manage plastic waste into planting media. This aims to minimize environmental pollution due to plastic waste, especially plastics that are classified as non-biodegradable. The methods used in this activity are lectures and demonstrations. The activity was attended by 37 people consisting of village officials, PKK mothers, and Karang Taurna of Blimbing Village, Kediri Regency. In this PKM activity, the participants seemed enthusiastic about participating in a series of activities from waste management education and also demonstrations in making planting media. In this activity, it is known that there is an increase in participants' knowledge about good waste management. As a follow-up effort, similar and relevant activities are needed so that public knowledge and awareness of the importance of good and correct waste management will increase, so as to create a healthy and sustainable environment.

Abstract

Bullying tends to be done repeatedly to victims and can have a negative impact on victims, including discomfort, excessive depression, depression, stress, low self-esteem, trauma, and other negative impacts. The importance of knowledge on the negative impact of bullying needs to be given to students to minimize bullying, especially in the school environment. The Community Service activities (PkM) were carried out through five stages, namely: pretest, education, role playing, mentoring, and evaluation. The participants of the activity were class XII students in one public school in Kediri Regency. The selection of activity targets is based on considerations, including: (1) class XII is the highest class which will be used as a role model for the class below, (2) class XII will be assigned to be a peer tutor in transferring knowledge related to bullying actions, (3) class XII can help the school to conduct cadre in the class below, and (4) class XII can be a senior who is able to nurture, protect, and set a good example for the younger class. In the data analysis using the Wilcoxon test, it was found that the sig value was smaller than 0.05, so it can be interpreted that there is a significant difference between the pretest and posttest scores, where the posttest score is greater than the pretest score. Based on the analysis of the data obtained, it can be concluded that stop bullying education can increase students' awareness of the dangers and impacts of bullying.

Abstract

This research aims to compare Carol Dweck's Growth Mindset Theory and Howard Gardner's Multiple Intelligences Theory in the context of developing individual potential. The study utilizes literature review and comparative analysis as the research method to compare the two theories. In the pursuit of optimizing individual potential, the growth mindset emphasizes the importance of a developing mindset, viewing failures as opportunities for learning, and creating a supportive learning environment. On the other hand, multiple intelligences theory acknowledges the diversity of intelligences and advocates for the development of all types of intelligence in education. In inclusive modern education, the application of both theories can motivate students to grow and learn, develop self-confidence, and optimize their potential in various areas of intelligence. Through this approach, modern education can create a stimulating environment, facilitate holistic development, and produce individuals who are prepared to face future challenges. By understanding the differences and similarities between these two theories, education can adopt an inclusive approach that focuses on the full development of each individual's potential, ensuring that students are empowered to achieve academic success and optimal personal growth.
