Abstract

This study empirically investigates the relationship between social media use at home and consumer shopping preferences during Covid-19 pandemic in an emerging country, Indonesia, using survey data. This study focus on popular consumer retail stores including online retail stores such as Tokopedia, Shopee, Lazada and KlikIndomaret, as well as brick-and-mortar retail stores, such as Indomaret, Alfamart, Super Indo, and Transmart. Social media use of popular platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, Twitter, Line, and LinkedIn are analyzed. The results of our analysis found that the use of Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, Twitter and LinkedIn at home is associated with consumer shopping preferences at online retail stores such as Tokopedia, Shopee, Lazada, and KlikIndomaret. In addition, our analysis revealed that the use of these social media platforms at home is associated with consumer shopping preferences at brick and mortar retail stores such as Alfamart, Indomaret, and Super Indo. Interestingly, there is no significant association between social media use at home and consumer shopping preferences at Transmart brick-and-mortar stores. Media Richness Theory and Strength of Weak Ties Theory help explain the results of this study. Retail stores need to consider which social media platform is more effective for implementing their marketing strategy. The results of this study can be used as a reference in developing a retail store marketing strategy through social media.

Abstract

The tourism sector is one of the potential sectors to be developed in modern times today, but not all tourist spots can thrive. One of the factors that led to the lack of development of tourist attractions is the lack of promotion or delivery of information to tourists. The development of the internet is now more advanced so much utilized by the manager of tourist attractions as a medium of information and promotion. Bekonang tourist village in Mojolaban area has the potential to be more developed. For that reason the need to utilize the internet by designing the village website Bekonang tourism as a medium of information and promotion. Research conducted to design the website using waterfall method and using data collection techniques in the form of interviews, observation, and literature study. While the software used in designing Bekonang village tourist website is XAMPP, Dreamweaver and using programming languages such as HTML, PHP, CSS, Java Script, and JQuery. The result of this observation and research is that the researcher succeeds in creating Bekonang Village Tourism website which can be used as information and promotion to improve and facilitate the tourists who want to visit Bekonang Tourism Village

Abstract

This research examines the influence of halal tourism potential on Muslim tourist satisfaction at Torohudan Beach and Ngrenean Beach in Kanigoro Village. The study aims to identify the most dominant factors influencing tourist satisfaction, explicitly focusing on halal tourism destinations, accommodations, and travel services. A quantitative approach was employed, with data collected from 96 respondents using questionnaires. The data were analyzed using partial tests (t-tests) and Importance-Performance Analysis (IPA) to assess each variable's significance and prioritize improvement areas. The results indicate that all three components—halal destinations, accommodations, and travel agencies—significantly impact tourist satisfaction. Among these, halal accommodations emerged as the most dominant factor, highlighting the importance of providing halal-compliant facilities, such as halal-certified food and prayer spaces. The IPA identified halal tourism destinations and the availability of halal-certified dining options as key areas for improvement, as they were rated highly in importance but exhibited lower performance. The study suggests that improving these areas can substantially increase tourist satisfaction and enhance the competitiveness of these destinations. The findings have implications for local tourism managers, indicating where to focus efforts and resources to better cater to the needs of Muslim tourists and boost overall visitor satisfaction

Abstract

Penerapan kurikulum merdeka atau IKM disekolah dilaksanakan serentak ditahun ajaran 2023, berlaku dari sekolah jenjang dasar hingga jenjang menengah atas. Struktur kurikulum di Kurikulum Merdeka didasari tiga hal, yaitu: berbasis kompetensi, pembelajaran yang fleksibel, dan karakter Pancasila. Kebijakan kurikulum merdeka ini berpengaruh terhadap kondisi psikologi siswa yang terdampak perubahan kurikulum sehingga guru diharapkan memiliki kemampuan untuk mengatasi kondisi tersebut. Solusi dan target dari kegiatan pengabdian ini yaitu sekolah mampu membuat sebuah sistem pembelajaran dalam kurikulum merdeka yang menarik sehingga mampu diterima oleh siswa. Metodelogi yang digunakan yaitu dengan metode ceramah, metode demontrasi/pelatihan dan diskusi. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat terkait implementasi kurikulum merdeka, bagaimana Implementasi Guru Magang Dalam Kurikulum Merdeka Guna Mendorong Mental Siswa Bagi BKK SMK Kota Surakarta yaitu setiap sekolah harus mampu membuat sistem pembelajaran yang sesuai dengan permintaan dunia kerja namun tetap berbasis pada kurikulum merdeka yang menarik dan dapat diterima oleh siswa. Seluruh civitas akademika sekolah harus mampu memberikan arahan serta membangun mental siswa yang akan berdampak pada meningkatnya prestasi serta mutu sekolah

Abstract

Advances in digital technology and the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic have resulted in significant growth in digital entrepreneurship in Indonesia. Apart from contributing to a country's economic development, digital entrepreneurship also has the potential to overcome youth unemployment. However, student participation rates remain low, possibly due to a lack of entrepreneurial knowledge. Furthermore, differences in entrepreneurship education approaches offered by universities result in differences in entrepreneurial knowledge among students. This research aims to analyze the factors that influence digital entrepreneurship intentions among polytechnic students in Indonesia. The survey was conducted with a sample of 268 polytechnic students throughout Central Java, using purposive and proportional random sampling. Data were analyzed using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM). This research finds the influence of entrepreneurial knowledge on digital entrepreneurial intentions and entrepreneurial alertness. Entrepreneurial alertness influences the relationship between entrepreneurial knowledge and digital entrepreneurial intention. These findings can inform strategies to foster digital entrepreneurship among Indonesian polytechnic students by focusing on increasing entrepreneurial knowledge and entrepreneurship alertness to accelerate the growth of digital entrepreneurship among the younger generation.

Abstract

Penggunaan internet sebagai wadah pemasaran bisa memberikan nilai lebih dalam menghadapi persaingan. Metode pemasaran digital yang efektif menjadi lebih umum dalam teknologi yaitu seperti optimasi mesin pencari (SEO), pemasaran mesin pencari (SEM), pemasaran berbasis data, content automation, social media marketing, social media optimization, e-mail direct marketing, e-book, content marketing, influencer marketing. Pada kegiatan yang kami laksanakan di KPRI Prasojo Jumapolo ini, kami memberikan pemaparan bagaimana cara menggunakan aplikasi bisinis sesuai aturan dan secara urut. Bagi banyak bisnis, memilih jalur pemasaran yang sesuai bukanlah hal yang mudah. Hal ini karena pemasaran akan berpengaruh besar terhadap perkembangan bisnis. Oleh karena itu, harus dilakukan sebaik mungkin. Di dunia era digital seperti sekarang, internet menjadi pusat kegiatan banyak orang. Setiap generasi memiliki ciri khasnya masing-masing, dan generasi milenial disebut sebagai generasi yang kritis dan cerdas. Mereka tidak lepas dari media. Tujuan dilakukannya kegiatan Pengabdian Masyarakat ini adalah untuk memanfaatkan e-commerce terutama bagi generasi milenial sehingga dapat memanfaatkannya dalam hal positif.

Abstract

Sekolah harus memiliki kreativitas dan nilai lebih di masyarakat, serta strategi khusus agar tetap menjadi sekolah unggulan meski ditengah keterbatasan dalam pandemi dan perubahan sistem pembelajaran. Peran kepemimpinan yang baik dari kepala sekolah maupun tenaga kependidikan diperlukan untuk meningkatkan daya saing sekolah dengan sekolah yang lain, baik dari segi prestasi akademik sekolah, prestasi dari siswa serta prestasi yang memiliki nilai lebih dibandingkan dengan sekolah yang lain. Semua siswa dan tenaga pendidikan serta orang tua perlu strategi dalam pengembangan aplikasi digital untuk meningkatkan sistem pembelajaran agar tetapbisa produktif, menyenangkan, terukur dan dapat di pahami dalam setiap pembelajaran. Pembelajaran yang dilakukan harus dapat membangun karakteristik dan jiwa siswa untuk terus berprestasi. Selain itu perlu peran kepemimpinan dan manajemen dari seluruh aspek sekolah untuk menjadikan sekolah unggulan. Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the impact of brand commitment on service standard communication, online brand image and word of mouth on online buying intention in the digital era. The design of this study uses descriptive research and causality research, measuring each variable using a 5-point Likert scale. This study uses primary data by collecting data through questionnaires. The sampling used in this study was purposive sampling and a sample of 100 respondents was obtained. This study uses statistical methods with SMART PLS as a testing tool. The results of this study indicate that brand commitment has no influence on online buying intention. Whereas online brand image has an influence on service standard communication and word of mouth, then online brand image and word of mouth have a positive influence on online buying intention among digital era users. Abstract

Family business research is compelling due to its significant contribution to the economy, particularly in developing countries like Indonesia. While innovation plays a crucial role in the sustainability of family businesses, its effectiveness is still influenced by succession, family involvement, and successor knowledge. Previous studies have indicated that family businesses are more innovative than non-family businesses; however, the relationship between family involvement and innovation remains inconsistent. Notably, 95% of private businesses in Indonesia are family-owned, contributing 25% to the GDP. Yet, only 30% survive into the second generation, and a mere 12% reach the third generation due to poor succession planning and weak innovation management. This research addresses the gap by developing the concept of New Family Business Value Creation (NFBVC) based on the Resource-Based View (RBV) and Sustainable Family Business Theory (SFBT) to optimize family resources for sustainable innovation. Utilizing an exploratory-predictive approach, the study involves 268 successors of small and medium-sized Batik family businesses and is analyzed using PLS-SEM. The findings are expected to provide theoretical and practical contributions to the sustainability of family businesses. This research highlights the critical role of successor knowledge, willingness, and parent-child cohesion in sustaining family businesses. By introducing New Family Business Value Creation (NFBVC), the study reinforces RBV and SFBT theories, demonstrating that Family Social Capital and value creation significantly enhance long-term business sustainability across generations. NFBVC serves as a key mediator in family business sustainability, enriching RBV and SFBT theories, and emphasizes moral-based value creation as essential for long-term business continuity across generations.

Abstract

Digital transformation has become a critical necessity for micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) to enhance competitiveness and foster sustainable innovation. This study aims to analyze some factors influencing the adoption of digital technologies by MSMEs and to examine their impact on sustainable innovation capabilities. Data were collected from 329 MSMEs in the manufacturing sector in Indonesia through a quantitative survey. The analysis employed a bivariate logistic regression model to investigate the relationship between firm characteristics (size, age, sector) and the utilization of digital technologies to support innovation. The findings indicate that firm size and growth orientation have a significant influence on the adoption of digital technologies and the pursuit of sustainable innovation. This study underscores the importance of technological support for larger MSMEs in facilitating innovative processes and ensuring business sustainability. Theoretically, this study contributes to the literature on technology adoption in the context of MSMEs in the developing countries. Practically, the findings offer valuable implications for policymakers and industry stakeholders in designing more targeted digitalization interventions to strengthen the innovation capacity of the MSME sector.
