Abstract

Penggunaan konjungsi sangat diperlukan untuk menjelaskan keteraturan dan kepaduan di antara kata, frasa, klausa, dan paragraf. Oleh karena itu, penggunaan konjungsi baik konjungsi koordinatif maupun subordinatif pada karya tulis ilmiah khususnya PTK sangat diperlukan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan penggunaan konjungsi pada PTK mahasiswa program studi pendidikan bahasa dan sastra Indonesia tahun 2018. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan analisis isi. Data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu kesalahan penggunaan konjungsi koordinatif dan konjungsi subordinatif. Sumber data dalam penelitian ini yaitu hasil karya tulis ilmiah mahasiswa semester VII Program Studi Pendidikan Bahasa dan Sastra Indonesia tahun 2018 berupa PTK sebanyak 10 PTK yang dipilih menggunakan teknik Random Sampling. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan teknik simak catat, lalu dianalisis dengan teknik analisis deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan konjungsi pada PTK mahasiswa semester VII Program Studi Pendidikan Bahasa dan Sastra Indonesia diperoleh 90 kesalahan, yang terdiri dari 53 kesalahan penggunaan konjungsi koordinatif dan 37 kesalahan penggunaan konjungsi subordinatif. Kesalahan penggunaan konjungsi tersebut dapat terjadi disebabkan oleh ketidaktepatan pemilihan konjungsi dan tidak memperhatikan penempatan konjungsi. Kesalahan penggunaan konjungsi koordinatif paling banyak ditemukan pada konjungsi dan dan konjungsi sedangkan. Selanjutnya kesalahan penggunaan konjungsi subordinatif paling banyak ditemukan pada konjungsi sehingga dan konjungsi karena.

Abstract

The focus of the problem in this study is motivated by the rise of the graffiti phenomenon which contains moral messages to be conveyed by graffiti artists in East Kalimantan, especially in Balikpapan City, Samarinda City, Bontang City, and Kutai Kartanegara District. The purpose of this study was to determine the moral message conveyed in the use of language styles on graffiti in East Kalimantan. This research uses descriptive qualitative method with a sociolinguistic approach. Research data in the form of written text from graffiti data sources in East Kalimantan. Data collection techniques using the stages of observation, study documentation, and interviews. Research instruments in the form of cellphones, stationery, notebooks, and moral style indicator message tables in Graffiti Language. The results found an attachment between language style and moral messages to be conveyed by graffiti makers found 30 data. Research findings include: (1) Religious moral messages, with indicators of submission to God, prayer in earnest, requests for guidance in life, repentance to God, confession of wrongdoing for sin, gratitude, patience, and sincerity. (2) Social moral messages, with indicators relating to human values, mutual respect, mutual cooperation, tolerance, caring, solidarity, and integrity. (3) Individual moral messages, with indicators that include values ​​of obedience, humility, caution in acting, honesty, confidence, accuracy, and wisdom. The conclusion of the study found the use of conflicting language style to be the dominant language style used to express the taste, intention, and work of graffiti makers. Choice of language style in graffiti has a tendency to the style of irony, satire, and sarcasm. Moral messages in graffiti are often accompanied by pictures as illustrations and are implied so that it requires careful observation and in-depth understanding to find out the message to be conveyed by graffiti makers.

Abstract

Writing skills are indispensable in life. Based on the genre, writing can be divided into two, namely fiction and nonfiction. Poetry is one of the nonfiction genres. Writing poetry is a complicated activity. It takes a variety of assignments and training to develop poetry writing skills.. This activity is based on the many obstacles of young people in Balikpapan when writing poetry. This activity is carried out in four stages, namely preparation, implementation by conducting counseling by providing material; understanding, types, structure, and constituent elements of poetry, as well as evaluation, and preparation of reports. The implementers of this activity are FKIP lecturers at Balikpapan University and the Balikpapan Junjung Nyawa community. This activity was carried out at the Klandasan Parking Building which is located at Jalan Jenderal Sudirman, No. 9, Klandasan Ulu, Balikpapan City, East Kalimantan. The result of this activity is that the young people of Balikpapan can create poetry in accordance with the rules of writing good and correct poetry.

Abstract

Effective sentences are foundations in writing skills. However, there are still many students who have not applied the effective sentence t-shirt correctly. One inhibiting factor in the lack of knowledge about effective sentences is the lack of knowledge about effective sentences. There needs to be activities to support this knowledge. The effort made is education to students about effective sentences. The aim is to improve students' writing skills in effective sentences. The method used in Community Service (PkM) is the method of lecture and discussion. This method is used to improve students' analytical abilities against sentences. This activity is carried out with four stages, namely preparation, implementation by counseling by providing material: understanding, type, characteristics, and examples of effective sentences, as well as evaluation, and preparation of reports. The organizer of this activity is the Balikpapan University FKIP Lecturer. Participants in this activity are class X RB 3 State Vocational High School 3 Balikpapan. This activity was carried out in class X RB 3, address on Belibis Street number 100, South Balikpapan, East Kalimantan. The result of this activity is that students can write effective sentences characterized by 70% structural equivalence, 70% compatibility of forms, 80% economy of words, 60% accuracy of reasoning, 60% cohesiveness of ideas, and 75% logicality of language.
