Abstract

Abstract

The Yo-Yo Intermittent Recovery Test is frequently used to evaluate VO2max and is crucial for determining an athlete's physical condition. However, its effectiveness in accurately assessing the physical condition of football players remains limited. This study aims to analyze the level of the physical condition of football players' VO2max which will be used as evaluation material for designing training programs so that the pattern of coaching becomes focused and produces achievements. This research used a quantitative approach to the survey method. The subjects of this study were Pusaka FC football club athletes, the sampling technique used total sampling so that all athletes were a sample of 23 players. The test instrument used the Yo-Yo Intermitten Recovery Test level 2. Data analysis used descriptive percentages, with the assistanceof the Microsoft Excel 2019 software application. The results of the study show that the VO2max level value in soccer athletes is 13.04% of athletes in the poor category and 34.78% in the good category. Below average, 47.82% shows the average category, and there is only 4.35%, which shows the value of the good category. Based on the results of the VO2max ability test, the average classification of Club Pusaka FC players is still relatively low. However, it is necessary to know that the limitations of this study lie in the condition of the players' nutritional intake which has not been controlled and their age which must also be taken into consideration by researchers. Furthermore, it can find information on the effect of athlete nutrition on endurance ability.

Abstract

Introduction: Exclusive breastfeeding is breast milk given without other foods to children up to 6 months of age. Breast milk has many uses, including helping children's growth and development, preventing infections, reducing the risk of obesity, and helping children's mental and psychomotor development. Exclusive breastfeeding was found to have a protective effect against the incidence of precocious puberty. Precocious puberty is defined as the onset of puberty that occurs before age 8 in girls and age 9 in boys.  Objective: Based on these findings, the authors want to make a study to compile the latest research results on the association of exclusive breastfeeding as one of the prevention of precocious puberty.  Method: The author searches, selects, and selects journals related to exclusive breastfeeding with the prevention of precocious puberty through several research databases including ScienceDirect, Google Scholar, PubMed, and Wiley. The keywords used are "exclusive breastfeeding", "precocious puberty", and "prevention".  Results and discussion: Various studies have shown that exclusive breastfeeding has a protective effect against the incidence of precocious puberty. Exclusive breastfeeding alone can reduce the risk of obesity in children. Obesity in this child, based on several studies, is a risk factor for precocious puberty. Conclusion: Exclusive breastfeeding of children can prevent the incidence of precocious puberty.

Abstract

The COVID-19 pandemic has increased the frequency of using alcohol-based hand sanitizers, especially among health workers. This increase in the frequency of using hand sanitizers increases the incidence of contact dermatitis. The presence of allergens and reduced fat and water content in the skin causes contact dermatitis. This research was conducted to review more deeply how much influence the use of hand sanitizers has on the incidence of contact dermatitis for health workers in the COVID-19 era and to provide advice on the use of additional materials as well as the selection of materials and procedures for using hand sanitizers to reduce the incidence of contact dermatitis. A literature search was conducted from journal articles with a time span of 2012-2022 using databases in the form of Pubmed, Ebsco, Google Scholar, Hindawi, Medline and Science Direct (65 articles). We included 65 research articles that met the inclusion and exclusion criteria by analyzing the abstract and full text through tables together. Research shows that the use of alcohol-based hand sanitizers with high frequency and contains allergenic ingredients triggers the occurrence of contact dermatitis in health workers. So the use of additional ingredients such as moisturizers and the selection of alcohol-based hand sanitizer materials must be considered to reduce the incidence of contact dermatitis.

Abstract

Collagen is an important substance in the body to compose connective tissue. One of the important roles of collagen is to keep the skin strong and elastic so that the skin does not look old. However, with age, the body's collagen production will decrease and have an effect on skin aging, so external collagen supplementation is often used to prevent premature aging. This study was conducted to review more deeply the role and effectiveness of oral hydrolyzed collagen supplementation in preventing premature aging of the skin of women aged 30-60 years and to compare the effectiveness and benefits of topical collagen compared to oral collagen so that the results of this study are expected to be useful in considering the use of oral collagen for prevention of premature aging. A literature search was conducted from journal articles with a time span of 2012-2022 using databases in the form of Pubmed, Ebsco, Google Scholar, Hindawi, Medline and Science Direct (28 articles). We included 28 research articles that met the inclusion and exclusion criteria by analyzing the abstract and full text through tables together. A literature search was conducted from journal articles with a time span of 2012-2022 using databases in the form of Pubmed, Ebsco, Google Scholar, and Science Direct. Research shows that hydrolyzed oral collagen has a fairly high level of effectiveness in inhibiting the premature aging process, in the form of increasing skin hydration and elasticity and reducing wrinkles in several areas of the face. The use of oral and topical collagen also has almost the same effect and will provide a more satisfying effect if consumed together.

Abstract

Introduction: Lupus erythematosus (LE) is a combination of various interrelating autoimmune clinical diseases. Cutaneous lupus erythematosus (CLE) is a spectrum of typical autoimmune skin features of systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE). A good recognition of the typical appearance of this skin lesion (CLE) enables diagnosis and good management of SLE. Case: A 26-year-old female with SLE with acute skin lessions (ACLE) skin lesions. Suspicion of SLE became stronger when the antinuclear antibody (ANA) titer reached 1:3,200. The main therapy is methylprednisolone injection followed by a gradual dose reduction. The patient was treated for 6 days in hospital and all lesions improved. Conclusion: The patient in this case had SLE with 6 clinical domains in the EULAR/ACR 2019 criteria and a total score of 34 (>10). Earlier and more accurate diagnosis of SLE can make therapy more effective, especially if CLE is already present.

Abstract

Fibroblasts that produce excess collagen and growth factors play a role in the pathogenesis of keloid formation. In general, keloids are treated with intralesional corticosteroids alone or with a combination of other modalities, but the recurrence rate is still relatively high, so alternative treatments such as stem cells are being investigated, one of which is Mesenchymal Stem Cells (MSC), which have proven to be useful in healing keloids. Therefore, this literature review aims to discuss the effects of stem cell therapy in the treatment of keloids. In this literature review, 36 journals were used that discussed stem cell therapy in the treatment of keloids taken from various journal sources, namely Google Scholar, Pubmed, Medline, Ebsco, Hindawi, and Cochrane which were published within the last 10 years. According to the source, MSC is divided into 2 types, namely Adipose Mesenchymal Stem Cells (AMSC) and Bone Marrow Mesenchymal Stem Cells (BMMSC). In several studies, AMSC is known to reduce the expression of TGF-β1, COL-1, and COL-2 proteins, and has been shown to inhibit the proliferation of fibroblasts in keloid patients. Whereas in the BMMSC study that was applied with Hydroxybutyl chitosan (HBC) and Arg-Gly-Asp (RGD) hydrogels for 7 days, it was shown to significantly reduce nodular collagen fibers (p<0.05). Keloids occur due to excessive production of collagen and are influenced by various factors such as age, gender, skin color, and genetics. Stem cell therapy, such as MSC, has been proven in various studies to be an alternative treatment for keloids
