Abstract

Abstract— Education in Vocational High School (SMK/Sekolah Menengah Kejuruan) aims to prepare students to enter the workplace and develop a professional attitude, creative, adaptive and productive. Industry is an important part in helping schools to improve the quality of education, because the industry is the user of graduate who formed through vocational institutes. This study used a qualitative approach with case study method. To determine the validity of the data triangulation of data collection and triangulation of data sources is used. The results showed that in order to prepare mid-level skilled workers in mechanical engineering SMKN 3 Boyolangu Tulungagung form a class of cooperation with PT GMI Chevrolet. Such cooperation includes educational planning, curriculum synchronization, and organized learning. Implementation of learning is implemented in schools and industry working practices in PT GMI Chevrolet. Graduates of the of direct cooperation class recruited into technicians by PT GMI Chevrolet placed on dealers in the province of East Java.

Abstract

The purpose of the study is to observe the Problem-Based Learning learning model; it is hoped that students, as prospective welding welders, can understand the types and forms of welding defects that arise to assess the quality of welding performed. This research was conducted on grade XI Las 2 students of SMKN 1 Udanawu using the classroom action research method (Classroom Action Research). The results of the research conducted obtained an increase in the average completeness results of students from the precycle, cycle I, and cycle II students of grade XI Las 2 SMKN 1 Udanawu, which initially only reached 30.2 in the precycle to 56.4 in cycle I and in cycle II to 81.3. This happens because, in practice-based learning, students only concentrate on practice and ignore theories related to welding defects. After Problem-Based Learning is carried out, students better understand the causes and effects of welding defects that arise. The factor that increases student understanding in cycles I and II is that learning is made in groups, so students are more active in identifying welding defects. In cycle II, students present the identification results so that students indirectly understand the material related to welding defects. From the increased learning outcomes, students can judge the welding quality performed.

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui dan menganalisis pengaruh Kualitas Pelayanan yang terdiri dari variabel tangible, reliability, responsivibess, assurance, dan emphaty secara parsial untuk mengetahui pengaruh terhadap Kepuasan Konsumen pada Toko Arul Berkah di Kabupaten Semarang. Jenis penelitian ini adalah kuantitatif dan teknik pengambilan sampel adalah accidental sampling dengan menggunakan jumlah sampel sebanyak 100 konsumen Toko Arul Berkah di Kabupaten Semarang. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan kuesioner. Teknik analisis data menggunakan regresi linier berganda Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa berdasarkan analisis koefisien determinasi diperoleh hasil Adjusted R Square sebesar 0,636 yang artinya bahwa hal-hal yang mempengaruhi kepuasan konsumen dapat dijelaskan oleh model sebesar 63,6 %, sedangkan 36,4% sisanya dijelaskan oleh variabel lain yang tidak diajukan dalam penelitian.

Abstract

In the implementation of partnerships between SMK and industry so far, there are still problems such as the link and match between SMK and the industrial business world which has not yet led to the formation of a synergistic partnership. Therefore, this research aims to analyze the study of partnership patterns between SMK and PT Advantage SCM. This research method uses a qualitative approach with a multi-case study. The location of this research is at SMK Negeri 1 Doko and SMK Yosonegoro Magetan. The results showed that the planning of the partnership pattern between SMK and PT Advantage SCM was by conducting an MoU and synchronizing the curriculum. Then require teachers and students to take part in internships. Furthermore, the process of collaborating with the graduate distribution program by placing students in banks throughout Indonesia that work with PT Advantage. Supporting factors are adequate facilities and infrastructure and enthusiasm and motivation from the school and industry. The impact of the implementation of the partnership pattern is that students become more enthusiastic and confident, SMK saves on practical costs and is more trusted by the community, and industrial business world can reduce costs for recruitment.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to determine and explain the influence partially and jointly of the Training (X1), Motivation (X2) and Work Environment (X3) variables on the Employee Performance variable (Y). The population in this study was 125 employees of the Planet Ban Shop, Semarang City, taking a sample of 95 people determined using the Slovin formula with a significance of 5%. This type of research is a type of quantitative approach carried out using a questionnaire method. The sampling technique in this research is cluster random sampling. The analysis techniques used are validity test, reliability test, multiple linear regression test, F-test, coefficient of determination and t-test. Based on the research results, it shows that training and the work environment partially have a positive effect on employee performance, while motivation has a negative effect on employee performance. Together all the independent variables have an influence on the dependent variable. Abstrak Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui dan menjelaskan pengaruh secara parsial dan bersama-sama antara variabel Pelatihan (X1), Motivasi (X2) dan Lingkungan Kerja (X3) terhadap variabel Kinerja Karyawan (Y). Populasi pada penelitian ini adalah karyawan Toko Planet Ban di Kota Semarang yang berjumlah 125 orang dengan mengambil sampel sebesar 95 orang yang ditetapkan dengan rumus slovin dalam signifikansi 5%. Jenis Penelitian ini yaitu jenis pendekatan kuantitatif yang dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode kuesioner. Teknik pengambilan sampel pada penelitian ini adalah cluster random sampling. Teknik analisis yang digunakan yaitu uji validitas, uji reliabilitas, uji, regresi linear berganda, uji F, koefisien determinasi dan uji t. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa variabel pelatihan dan variabel lingkungan kerja secara parsial berpengaruh positif terhadap kinerja karyawan, sedangkan variabel motivasi berpengaruh negatif terhadap kinerja karyawan. Secara bersama-sama semua variabel independen berpengaruh terhadap variabel dependen.

Abstract

This community service activity is an implementation of the 2022 research findings, which revealed that sugarcane sap, as a raw material for granulated sugar, contains antioxidants beneficial for health. Various sugarcane sap-based products have been introduced to the community, particularly to SMEs and sugarcane farmers in Pagelaran Village. The community’s response has been very positive, as sugarcane is a local commodity in the village. However, a challenge faced in the 2023 community service project was the unavailability of a sugarcane sap extractor, forcing them to buy sugarcane sap from outside the village. This approach was inefficient, and the sap easily spoiled due to microbial activity, leading to the breakdown of sucrose into reducing sugars and other compounds. To address this, the team designed and built a sugarcane sap extractor machine and provided training on making flavored sugarcane syrup. The event took place on September 19, 2024, with 28 participants from SMEs and farmers’ groups, along with 7 village officials. The participants were taught how to use the extractor, how to make sugarcane syrup, the benefits of the syrup, product branding, and basic bookkeeping. At the end of the session, the machine was handed over to the village head to be donated to the SMEs as capital for producing functional drinks from sugarcane sap. The participants responded positively, and the SMEs committed to expanding their business by offering functional drinks made from sugarcane sap, including sugarcane syrup in various flavors.

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk mengetahui hubungan antara pengalaman PKL dan pengetahuan lingkungan industri dengan kapabilitas karir siswa SMKN 6 Malang. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kuantitatif dengan pendekatan korelasional. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa SMKN 6 kelas XII yang telah melaksanakan PKL sebanyak 125. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan uji hipotesis dengan taraf signifikansi 5% menunjukkan bahwa: (1) terdapat hubungan yang positif dan signifikan antara pengalaman PKL dengan kapabilitas karir, hasil pengujian dengan nilai koefisien korelasi sebesar 0,671 dalam kategori kuat dan nilai Sig. (2-tailed) sebesar 0,000 (0,000 < 0,05), (2) terdapat hubungan yang positif dan signifikan antara pengetahuan lingkungan industri dengan kapabilitas karir, hasil pengujian dengan nilai koefisien korelasi sebesar 0,650 dan nilai Sig. (2-tailed) sebesar 0,000 (0,000 < 0,05), dan (3) terdapat hubungan positif dan signifikan antara pengetahuan PKL dan pengetahuan lingkungan industri dengan kapabilitas karir, hasil pengujian dengan koefisien korelasi adalah 0,722 sedangkan kontribusi sebesar 51% dan tingkat signifikansi koefisien korelasi ganda (sig. F change) = 0,000 (0,000 < 0,05).

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian adalah untuk mengkaji dampak kemauan mengakses layanan bimbingan dan konseling terhadap pilihan karier siswa SMK berbasis pesantren. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi kasus. Penelitian dilakukan di SMKS Darut Tauhid Bangil Pasuruan. Sampel siswa diambil melalui pemilihan sampel acak dan dibentuk Focus Group Discussion (FGD). Data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara dan FGD. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa 1) Layanan bimbingan karier berperan untuk: membantu siswa dalam mengenal, mempersiapkan, dan merencanakan karier; membantu siswa untuk mengambil keputusan dalam perencanaan karier; dan membantu siswa memperoleh pengetahuan, sikap, dan ketrampilan dalam pekerjaan. 2) Siswa yang aktif mengakses layanan bimbingan karier sudah memiliki pilihan karier yang jelas, memiliki informasi terkait karier yang baik dan memiliki perencanaan karier yang bagu. 3) Siswa yang tidak aktif mengakses layanan bimbingan karier belum memiliki pilihan karier yang pasti, kurang memiliki informasi terkait karier yang akan mereka ambil dan belum memiliki perencanaan karier yang jelas. Abstract

The development of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) had changed our lives profoundly. The period known as the industrial revolution had forced various changes in all fields of knowledge. In facing the era of the industrial revolution 4.0, Human Resources development became an important factor. Human resources, mainly Vocational High Schools (Sekolah Menengah Kejuruan/SMK) graduates were one of the spearheads to fulfil the needs of the industrial worlds. To achieve this goal, it was necessary to improve the quality of education. Teachers, as one of the main components in the process of increasing the quality of human resources, were required to be professionals in their fields and possess competencies according to the needs of the times. In efforts to improve the quality of the education field, developing teacher competency is a top priority. The purpose of this study is to examine the theories and models of teacher competencies and their development, especially vocational teachers. This study used a literature review method. The initial study was conducted by examining and considering the results of previous research related to the competence of vocational teachers, then proceeded with the study of theories and models of teacher competencies and their development. The results of this literature review lead to a conceptual framework for the development of vocational teacher competencies. The conceptual framework offered can be used as a basis for reference and guidance for further studies conducted by researchers in the future.
