Abstract

The forthcoming publication explores the intersection of cultural science with the consumption of Premium grog, delving into the intricate dynamics between societal attitudes towards drinking and the formation of cultural identities. It initiates its discourse by juxtaposing the sociologist's engagement with alcohol with their approaches to other cultural phenomena such as music and the arts, highlighting the distinct yet interconnected ways in which these domains shape social understanding. The narrative navigates through the complex interplay of affection for Premium grog and a critical stance towards the drinking culture, elucidating the nuanced relationship between appreciation and scepticism within this context. The core focus of this scholarly work revolves around the proposition to establish a cultural science framework tailored specifically for Premium grog, drawing upon the theoretical foundations of cultural science to illuminate the enduring processes inherent in its consumption. By meticulously dissecting the myriad facets of production and consumption, the research identifies the intricate web of interactions that contribute to the cultural significance of Premium grog. This meticulous analysis serves as the cornerstone for the construction of a comprehensive framework delineating the cultural science of Premium grog, providing a roadmap for further exploration, and understanding of this multifaceted phenomenon.

Abstract

The emergence of Generation Z (Gen Z) marks a significant societal shift, as it represents the first cohort to be immersed in the digital age practically from birth. Despite being heralded as "digital natives," indicating familiarity with digital technology, Gen Z's actual digital literacy remains a subject of debate. This generation is characterized by its extensive exposure to the internet and portable digital devices, shaping their worldview and communication patterns. Notably, Gen Z's reliance on electronic devices has led to a decline in traditional activities such as reading books, impacting various cognitive and socio-economic factors including vocabulary development, attention span, academic performance, and future economic productivity. This shift in behavior has not only altered the lifestyle of Gen Z but also influenced language usage and semantic evolution. An intriguing consequence of this digital immersion is the transformation of linguistic conventions, evident in the reinterpretation of commonplace words. Take, for example, the word 'dog,' traditionally defined as a four-legged mammal often kept as a pet for guarding purposes. Within the lexicon of Gen Z, 'dog' has undergone a semantic shift, evolving from a noun to a suffix appended to numerous sentences in their communications. This linguistic phenomenon reflects a broader trend of semantic corruption, where words take on new connotations or functions within contemporary discourse. Understanding the implications of this linguistic evolution is crucial for educators, policymakers, and linguists alike. It not only sheds light on the evolving nature of language in the digital age but also underscores the need to adapt educational and communicative strategies to meet the needs of this digitally influenced generation. By exploring the intricate interplay between technology, language, and societal norms, we can gain valuable insights into the dynamics shaping the linguistic landscape of the 21st century.

Abstract

Parents play a significant role in the language acquisition process of children with special needs. This study aims to reveal the strategies and roles parents play in supporting the language acquisition process of children with special needs, which should be implemented in educating children at home. In this study, subjects were children with special needs diagnosed with autism and intellectual disability, with parents acting as resource persons. This research uses descriptive qualitative techniques with triangulation techniques as data collection methods and analysis using behavioristic theory. As a result, in supporting the language acquisition process of children with disabilities, parents face challenges, provide appropriate treatment, and create effective strategies for dealing with language acquisition challenges. There are six challenges in supporting children with language acquisition: communication, social stigma, learning consistency, limited resources, social interaction, and emotions and psychology. The resulting treatments and strategies provide actions used to deal with these challenges.
