Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of Balance Ball Exercise in alleviating lower back pain among members of I-Fit Indonesia, Central Jakarta. Lower back pain, characterized by discomfort and muscle spasms in the lower back, often disrupts the balance between the abdominal and paravertebral muscles, limiting mobility. This condition is prevalent among I-Fit Indonesia members in Central Jakarta. Balance Ball Exercise is an approach that utilizes a stability ball to potentially reduce back pain and strengthen core, gluteal, and back extensor muscles, which may contribute to alleviating symptoms of lower back pain. The research employs a quantitative, one-group pre-test-post-test design with a sample of 12 members from I-Fit Indonesia, selected through purposive sampling. The primary measurement tool, a goniometer, assesses range of motion (ROM) by determining the angle between bone segments at the maximum point of movement. Data analysis includes tests for normality, homogeneity, and hypothesis testing. The results indicate a positive effect of Balance Ball Exercise on managing lower back pain. Analysis using a paired sample t-test shows that balance ball training significantly influences pain reduction, with a significance value of 0.000 (p < 0.05). Paired sample correlations show a low but positive correlation (r = 0.637, p > 0.05), indicating a positive relationship between balance ball training and lower back pain relief. These findings suggest that Balance Ball Exercise can be a beneficial intervention for lower back pain among I-Fit Indonesia members, providing an accessible method to enhance core stability and manage pain.

Abstract

Background: This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of the vertical jump movement in increasing explosive power in Kancil Mas Karawang Football School (SSB) football athletes. Methods: This research was carried out by collecting data from a number of athletes who had undergone vertical jump training regularly over a certain period. The experimental method was used in this research, where participants were divided into a control group and an experimental group. The experimental group underwent vertical jump training, while the control group did not experience additional training intervention. Explosive power measurements were carried out before and after the intervention period using standard tests whose reliability has been proven. Results: The results of data analysis showed a significant increase in explosive power in the experimental group compared to the control group. The implications of these findings for athletic training, especially in the context of explosive power development in soccer, are discussed in this study. Conclusions: . In conclusion, vertical jump training can be an effective method in increasing the explosive power of soccer athletes at SSB level, with the potential to improve athlete performance on the field.

Abstract

The basis for this research is the lack of endurance in Scorpio Jakarta KU-16 basketball players. This research aims to determine the influence of Circuit Training on increasing VO2MAX in Scorpio Jakarta basketball players. This research includes Pre-Experimental research. The population and sample in this study were Scorpio Jakarta basketball players aged 16 years and under, totalling 15 players. The test instrument in this research is the Bleep test. The data obtained were analyzed using the Normality Test ( Shapiro Wilk), Homogeneity Test ( Levene's Statistics ) and Hypothesis Test (T-Test). From the results of this research, the data was processed using the Shapiro-Wilk normality test using the SPSS application. The results of the pretest value show Sig= 0.469>0.05, so the pretest data is declared to be normally distributed and the sig value. at posttest = 0.183>0.05 then the posttest data is declared to be normally distributed. Then the homogeneity test, from the results of the research data, sig = 0.388 > 0.05 was obtained, so the data was declared to have a homogeneous distribution. Next, a hypothesis test was carried out. From the results of the research data from both pretest and posttest data samples, it was found that the Sig. (2-failed ) value was 0.000 < 0.05. It could be concluded that the results of the Hypothesis Test were accepted. So it means that there is an influence of Circuit Training on increasing VO2MAX in Scorpio Jakarta basketball players.
