The development of the fashion industry has encouraged various innovations in the exploration of forms, materials, and techniques capable of producing garments with high artistic value. One of the emerging techniques in textile design is origami-based fabric manipulation, which creates three-dimensional textures and structures on fabric surfaces. This study aimed to describe the application process of origami fabric manipulation inspired by Tokyo Tower in avant-garde fashion design and to determine the final outcome of its implementation. The research employed a quantitative descriptive method using the Double Diamond Model approach consisting of the discover, define, develop, and deliver stages. Data were analyzed descriptively using mean scores. The results indicated that the geometric characteristics of Tokyo Tower were successfully translated into origami applications, resulting in garments with strong volume, texture, and architectural silhouettes. Expert evaluation yielded an average score of 4.56, categorized as very good, indicating that origami fabric manipulation is an effective and innovative approach for developing avant-garde fashion designs that integrate architecture, art, and textile technology.
