Abstract

This research explores the transformative impact of Internet of Things (IoT) technology on learning environments, focusing on the development of a Smart School at SMA Negeri II Binjai. The study aims to investigate the integration of IoT technology to enhance educational practices, improve efficiency, and create an innovative and dynamic learning atmosphere. The research employs a mixed-methods approach, combining qualitative and quantitative methodologies. The design includes the development of a comprehensive IoT system tailored for educational settings, considering both hardware and software components. Implementation strategies involve stakeholder engagement, training sessions, and pilot testing to ensure a smooth transition. Evaluation methods encompass performance testing, usability testing, and security testing to guarantee system reliability. The findings are expected to contribute valuable insights into the effectiveness of IoT technology in fostering innovation and improving the overall learning experience in a secondary school setting. The research not only addresses the technical aspects of building a Smart School but also considers the practical implications and challenges associated with the integration of IoT in education.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the role of digital transformation in encouraging increased productivity and sustainability of small and medium enterprises (SMEs) in Pematang Serai Village, Langkat Regency. Amidst the development of the digital economy, the adoption of digital technology and applications is considered important to help SMEs optimize operational processes, expand market reach, and increase business resilience in facing increasingly complex challenges and competition. The research method uses a qualitative descriptive approach, with data collection techniques in the form of in-depth interviews and participatory observation. Respondents consisted of SME actors who participated in digital training programs, who provided data on experiences and challenges in implementing technology. The results of the study show that digital transformation through training and mentoring in digital literacy, financial management, and digital marketing can increase operational efficiency and competitiveness of SMEs.

Abstract

The Pari City Waste Bank application utilizes a computerized system in managing waste involving the field of information technology. This shows that information technology has become a supporting part in managing waste management. This waste bank is a village institution that operates in the field of waste processing. Apart from saving and sorting waste, the waste bank also teaches people to process waste into items that are useful and have selling value. A computerized system is needed in waste bank institutions so that performance can improve and the institution can develop better. From the existing problems, the author created a system for transactions and management of the Waste Bank in Pari City using a web-based information system. The results of this web-based Waste Bank application can speed up and make it easier for officers to carry out transactions, process and record customer savings data at the waste bank.

Abstract

This study aims to design and build a website-based Point of Sale (POS) system at Berjaya Farma Pharmacy to improve operational efficiency and sales management accuracy. This system is designed to automate various processes, such as transaction recording, real-time drug stock management, data input validation, and providing informative sales reports. This project uses the System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) development method with the stages of needs analysis, design, implementation, and testing. The implementation results show that the website-based POS system developed can improve sales process efficiency by reducing human error through automation of transaction recording and total price calculation. The drug stock management feature allows automatic stock data updates after transactions, thus helping to maintain inventory availability. In addition, the sales reports provided make it easier for pharmacy owners to analyze income and support strategic decision making. The data input validation feature also functions well, ensuring that data entered into the system is accurate and in accordance with the specified format.

Abstract

Modern technology has developed rapidly, providing various solutions to facilitate activities and work. Toko Buku Murah Medan, which focuses on book sales, still uses manual methods in managing its sales. This manual process often causes various problems, such as data input errors and delays in making reports. To overcome these problems, this study aims to design and build a website-based book sales information system application. This study uses data collection methods through observation, interviews, and documentation. In developing the application, the Personal Home Page (PHP) method is applied because of its flexibility in handling changing needs during the development process. Direct communication with clients is the main focus in this method. This application is developed using Visual Studio Code as an editor, and MySQL as a database, thus accelerating the application development process. The results of this study are in the form of a website-based book sales information system application that is able to manage sales data, purchases, and book stock more efficiently. This system also provides an automatic report generation feature, both daily, weekly, and monthly, which can improve performance and efficiency at Toko Buku Murah Medan. With this application, problems arising from manual processes can be minimized, supporting improved service and store operations.

Abstract

Di era digital yang sangat kompetitif, Usaha Kecil dan Menengah (UKM) di daerah seperti Desa Pematang Serai, Langkat, dapat memanfaatkan platform e-commerce untuk meningkatkan daya saing dan pertumbuhan. Desain strategis situs web e-commerce memainkan peran krusial dalam hal ini, dengan memengaruhi pengalaman pengguna, membangun kepercayaan pelanggan, dan mendorong konversi penjualan. Meskipun pentingnya e-commerce bagi UKM telah diakui, penelitian sebelumnya seringkali mengabaikan tantangan regional spesifik seperti keterbatasan infrastruktur, variabilitas tingkat literasi digital di kalangan pelaku UKM, dan kurangnya fokus pada wilayah pedesaan. Kesenjangan ini menghambat pemahaman komprehensif mengenai faktor-faktor yang memengaruhi adopsi e-commerce dan pengembangan strategi yang efektif. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk merancang dan mengimplementasikan sistem e-commerce yang disesuaikan secara khusus dengan karakteristik dan kebutuhan UKM di Desa Pematang Serai. Kontribusi penelitian ini diharapkan meliputi pengembangan model e-commerce yang adaptif untuk UKM di wilayah pedesaan, evaluasi dampak implementasi sistem terhadap kinerja bisnis, serta perumusan rekomendasi strategi digitalisasi UKM yang berkelanjutan untuk mendukung pertumbuhan ekonomi yang merata. Kata Kunci: E-commerce, UKM, Desa Pematang Serai, Desain Strategis, Daya Saing, Literasi Digital, Model Adaptif, Digitalisasi Berkelanjutan.

Abstract

Abstract. The practice of Syarī'ah audits at Zakāt institutions in Indonesia has been effective since 2020 through the Decree of the Minister of Religion Number 606 of 2020. In practice, Syarī'ah audits play a role as guarantee and quality control for the implementation of ZIS and DSKL fund management. T his study aims to analyze the practice of Shari'ah auditing at Zakāt institutions in Indonesia from the perspective of positive law and Shari'ah. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach through analysis of the contents of regulations, data, and documents. The results of the study show that from a legal perspective, the process of managing funds and governance of ZIS and DSKL has not been regulated in positive law and in Shari'ah law. The solution that has been carried out by Shari'ah auditors so far is through the process of priority legal and fiqh istinbāth (ijtihad al-ahkamil-ahkam).Abstrak. Praktik audit Syarī’ah pada lembaga Zakāt di Indonesia telah efektif sejak tahun 2020 melalui Keputusan Menteri Agama Nomor 606 Tahun 2020. Dalam penerapannya, audit Syarī’ah berperan sebagai penjaminan dan pengendalian mutu pelaksanaan pengelolaan dana ZIS dan DSKL. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis praktik audit Syarī’ah pada lembaga Zakāt di Indonesia dari perspektif hukum positif dan Syarī’ah. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif dengan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif melalui analisis isi peraturan, data, dan dokumen. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa dari segi hukum, proses pengelolaan dana dan tata kelola ZIS dan DSKL belum diatur dalam hukum positif yang berjalan dan dalam hukum Syarī’ah. Solusi yang dilakukan auditor Syarī’ah selama ini adalah melalui proses istinbāth hukum dan fiqh prioritas (ijtihad al-ahkamil-ahkam).

This article delves into the pivotal role of Human-Centered Design (HCD) in logo development, specifically tailored for Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (SMEs) situated in Pematang Serai Village. Recognizing the essence of building a robust brand image, the study explores how HCD principles influence the entire process of logo design, from conceptualization to implementation. The exploration begins by emphasizing the iterative and user-centric nature of HCD, which ensures continuous refinement of logos based on user feedback. Visual elements are dissected for their impact on audience perception, acknowledging logos as significant visual cues influencing consumer behavior. Cultural considerations take center stage as the study draws insights from cross-national logo evaluation analysis, emphasizing the need to tailor logos to specific cultural contexts. This is particularly relevant for SMEs in Pematang Serai Village, ensuring resonance with the local community. The article concludes by offering actionable recommendations for SMEs, advocating for a continued user-centric approach, emphasis on visual appeal, cultural sensitivity, iterative refinement, and strategic logo implementation. It underscores the importance of these principles in creating logos that not only visually captivate but also emotionally connect with the target audience, thereby contributing to sustained business success

Abstract

Permasalahan sampah merupakan isu lingkungan yang membutuhkan penanganan serius, termasuk di wilayah pedesaan seperti Desa Pematang Serai. Kurangnya kesadaran masyarakat dalam mengelola sampah serta belum adanya sistem yang terstruktur menjadi hambatan dalam menciptakan lingkungan yang bersih dan sehat. Kegiatan ini bertujuan untuk memberdayakan masyarakat melalui sosialisasi dan pelatihan penggunaan sistem informasi pengelolaan sampah berbasis digital. Metode pelaksanaan kegiatan dilakukan melalui observasi lapangan, sosialisasi interaktif, pelatihan langsung (hands-on), serta pendampingan implementasi sistem di salah satu dusun percontohan. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan peningkatan pemahaman dan partisipasi warga dalam pengelolaan sampah serta kemampuan dalam menggunakan sistem informasi yang telah disediakan. Penerapan teknologi digital terbukti dapat membantu proses pencatatan, pengelompokan, dan pelaporan sampah secara lebih efisien dan transparan. Kegiatan ini memberikan dampak positif dalam membangun kebiasaan baru yang ramah lingkungan serta membuka peluang bagi penerapan sistem serupa di wilayah desa lainnya.

Abstract

Penyalahgunaan narkoba di kalangan remaja merupakan permasalahan serius yang dapat berdampak negatif pada kesehatan, pendidikan, dan masa depan generasi muda. Oleh karena itu, diperlukan upaya pencegahan yang efektif, salah satunya melalui pemanfaatan teknologi digital. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk merancang dan membangun aplikasi mobile berbasis Android sebagai media penyuluhan bahaya narkoba bagi remaja di instansi Balai Penyuluh KB Pancur Batu. Metode yang digunakan dalam pengembangan aplikasi ini adalah Waterfall Model, yang mencakup tahap analisis, desain, implementasi, pengujian, dan pemeliharaan. Aplikasi ini menyediakan fitur-fitur edukatif seperti materi interaktif tentang jenis-jenis narkoba, dampak negatif penyalahgunaan narkoba, serta strategi pencegahan dan rehabilitasi. Selain itu, aplikasi dilengkapi dengan kuis interaktif untuk mengukur pemahaman pengguna, forum diskusi, serta akses ke layanan konsultasi dengan tenaga profesional. Pengujian dilakukan dengan metode Black Box Testing untuk memastikan fungsionalitas aplikasi berjalan dengan baik. Hasil evaluasi menunjukkan bahwa aplikasi ini dapat meningkatkan kesadaran dan pemahaman remaja terhadap bahaya narkoba serta mendorong partisipasi aktif dalam program pencegahan. Dengan adanya aplikasi ini, diharapkan upaya penyuluhan bahaya narkoba dapat lebih efektif dan menjangkau lebih banyak remaja secara luas melalui teknologi mobile.
