Abstract

Introduction: The delay in burns healing is a serious complication that can lead to disability and death. TGF-?1 contributes significantly to the wound healing process. Chronic wounds that do not heal often indicate a loss of TGF-?1 signaling. Propolis and coconut shell liquid smoke (CS-LS) are natural ingredients that contain antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, and analgesic compounds to accelerate wound healing. This study aimed to prove the effectiveness of using a topical combination of propolis and CS-LS in accelerating the healing process of degree II burns and their relationship with the expression of TGF-?1 in serum. Method: A 14-day in vivo experimental investigation using Wistar rats was carried out with a total sample of 25 rats divided into 4 groups.; Group 1, treated with sulfadiazine ointment; Group 2, treated with propolis ointment; Group 3, treated with CS-LS ointment; Group 4, treated with the combination of propolis and CS-LS ointment, and 1 control group without treatment. Serum TGF-?1 levels were determined by ELISA. Result: Measurements of wound size were on days 0,3,7 and 14. This study obtained results the combination ointment group alone had significantly different TGF-?1 levels from day 7 to day 14 and experienced a decrease in TGF-?1 levels of 52.28 ?/mg. Based on wound size, there was a significant difference in all groups (p<0.05), this was supported by the mean value of wound size which was smaller in the sulfadiazine ointment group and the combination (propolis and liquid smoke) ointment group. Conclusion: The combination of propolis and coconut shell liquid smoke can be considered as an alternative in the treatment of second degree burns because of its ability to reduce TGF-?1 and accelerate burn wound healing. Keywords: wound healing, propolis, coconut shell liquid smoke, TGF-?1

Abstract

Osteoarthritis is the most common inflammation of the joints, with symptoms of joint pain when moving, stiffness, especially in the morning, weakening of the muscles around the problematic joint, sound when the joint is moved, and swelling in the joint area. The absence of treatment that can eliminate Osteoarthritis has led to an increasing demand for more effective treatment. In fact, common disease is age-related, and global statistics show that it is a significant health problem and financial burden on health and social welfare systems globally. This study aims to explain and analyze the effectiveness of combination therapy of stem cells and PRP in the treatment of Osteoarthritis. The research method used is a case study where combination therapy of stem cells and PRP offers the potential to modify the natural recovery of knee Osteoarthritis using stem cell-based technology. Stem cell therapy was given to 9 Osteoarthritis patients aged over 50 years, most of whom were female, who were proven to tend to improve their condition after undergoing stem cell therapy with PRP at the Vinski Regenerative Center and were able to carry out their daily activities again.

Abstract

During a person's life, the spine will experience continuous changes in response to physiological axial loads. Increasing age is also a cause of pathological degenerative changes. Degenerative disease of the spine is a condition that many people complain about and requires appropriate and effective treatment. Degenerative disc disease is the most common cause of low back pain and disability worldwide, involving people of all ages and socioeconomic statuses. This study aims to explain and analyze the effectiveness of Mesenchymal Stem Cell therapy in treating Degenerative Disc Disease. The research method used is a case study where  Mesenchymal Stem Cell therapy offers the potential to modify the natural recovery of Degenerative Disc Disease using stem cell-based technology. Case studies were carried out at the Vinski Regenerative Center clinic, on several patients. And the results are that stem cells have the potential to be an ideal non-surgical treatment for low back pain and degenerative disc disease, because of their ability to differentiate into various connective tissue cells and their ability to restore damaged tissue and the results of case studies have proven to tend to improve the condition. However, long-term clinical studies are still needed, specifically focusing on the safety and efficacy of stem cell therapy in degenerative disc disease.

Abstract

Chronic liver diseases pose a significant global health challenge, necessitating the development of novel therapeutic strategies for liver regeneration and functional recovery. Mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs) derived from umbilical cord blood have emerged as promising candidates for liver regeneration due to their multipotent differentiation capacity, immunomodulatory properties, and paracrine effects. This study aims to investigate the efficacy, safety, and underlying mechanisms of stem cell therapy in the recovery and regeneration of liver tissue in patients with liver disease. The research method used is a case study where Mesenchymal Stem Cell therapy offers the potential to modify the natural recovery of Liver function using stem cell-based technology. Case studies were carried out on several Vinski Regenerative Center clinic patients. This review explores the therapeutic potential of umbilical cord blood-derived MSCs in promoting the recovery of liver function in preclinical and clinical settings. We discuss the mechanisms by which MSCs facilitate liver regeneration, including their ability to differentiate into hepatocyte-like cells, modulate immune responses, and secrete trophic factors that promote tissue repair. Preclinical studies demonstrate the efficacy of umbilical cord blood-derived MSCs in ameliorating liver injury, reducing fibrosis, and improving overall liver function. Challenges such as optimal dosing, timing of administration, and long-term monitoring remain to be addressed. Nevertheless, MSCs from umbilical cord blood represent a promising therapeutic approach for liver regeneration and hold great potential for improving outcomes in patients with liver disease.

Abstract

One of the many potential benefits of stem cell therapy is that it may enhance men’s vitality by addressing conditions such as erectile dysfunction and hypogonadism. The current comprehensive review and meta-analysis evaluate the efficacy, safety, and mechanisms of stem cell therapy in improving male sexual health. Data from previously published clinical trials, reviews, and preclinical studies indicate that stem cell therapy significantly enhances erectile function, increases testosterone levels, and improves sperm quality. The regenerative potential of mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs), including their ability to differentiate into various cell types and secrete bioactive molecules, underpins these benefits. Additionally, MSCs modulate the immune response, reducing inflammation and promoting tissue repair. Despite these promising results, current research is limited by heterogeneity among studies, lack of long-term data, and the absence of standardized treatment protocols. Future research can focus on large-scale randomized controlled trials with standardized protocols to validate the long-term efficacy and safety of stem cell therapy. The results of the review support the potential of stem cell therapy as a novel approach in regenerative medicine, offering innovative solutions for men’s health and vitality. Addressing the current limitations and exploring future directions will pave the way for the clinical adoption of stem cell therapy, advancing the treatment options for conditions affecting men’s vitality and improving the quality of life for millions of men worldwide.
