Abstract

Kurangnya aktivitas dan motivasi belajar yang menampak pada saat siswa menjawab pertanyaan  guru  dan  anggapan  bahwa  kimia merupakan mata  pelajaran  yang  sulit menyebabkan hasil belajar siswa kelas XI IPA SMA N 1 Gringsing kurang maksimal sehingga ketuntasan  belajar  tidak  tercapai  baik  secara  klasikal maupun  individual. Penelitian  ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui peningkatan hasil belajar  siswa dengan pendekatan Science, Environment, Technology, and Society (SETS) melalui metode eksperimen aplikatif dengan subyek  penelitian  siswa  kelas XI  IPA  1  sejumlah  38  orang. Data  dikumpulkan melalui metode  dokumentasi  guna  mengetahui  kondisi  awal,  tes,    observasi,  dan  angket  untuk mengevaluasi  hasilnya. Peningkatan  hasil  belajar  kognitif  dievaluasi  dengan  tes,  aspek afektif dan psikomotor diperoleh dari pengamatan mengacu lembar observasi dan angket Hasil  penelitian menunjukan  adanya  peningkatan  hasil  belajar  kognitif,  afektif maupun psikomotorik yang signifi kan dari pra siklus, siklus I sampai dengan siklus III. Kata Kunci: pendekatan SETS, eksperimen aplikatif

Abstract

This research was aimed to improve the generic skill (observation, sense of scale,causality, logical frame, and logical inference) of students. The research was conductedby using education research and development design. The data were collected by test,questionnaire, and observation sheets. The subject of research was fourth semester studentsof chemistry education programme of educational institute of Central Java. Achievement ofgeneric skill enhancement was evaluated by written exam, deed test, work observation, andstudents’ work results. The result of research showed the signifi cant enhancement of thewhole developed aspects. The success was shown also by the students’ positive attituderesponse.Keywords: science generic skill; instrument analytical chemistry

Abstract

This study aimed to determine the effect of inquiry learning model with REACT strategy on learning outcomes and to determine the contribution to the learning outcomes. The expected benefits are improvements in learning chemistry subjects in class XI of high school through constructivism learning activities. The population in this study were students of class XI of high school in Semarang. The analysis showed the early stages of the population have the same degree of homogeneity and normal distribution. Average learning outcomes after experimental class treated were better than the control class, which amounted to 75.52 and 67.14. Test the difference between two average results obtained t from calculation (4.85)> t from table (1.66), so we can conclude the experimental class learning results are better than the control class. Correlation test resulted biserial correlation coefficient (rb) of 0.58 and t from calculation (5.68)> t from table (1.99), so the influence was significant. Effect of application of inquiry learning model with REACT strategy shown by the coefficient of determination of 33.64%.The cognitive learning outcomes of experimental class had reached mastery learning classical while control class not yet. The average value of affective and psychomotor experimental classes are better than the control class. Based on these results, it can be concluded that the inquiry learning with REACT strategy have positive effect on learning outcomes chemistry in student class XI of high school in Semarang.

Abstract

Kimia merupakan pelajaran yang sangat erat dalam kehidupan. Banyak produkyang dapat dikaitkan dengan pelajaran kimia, sehingga pembelajaraan kimia dapat dikemasdengan lebih kontekstual dan membekali siswa untuk berwirausaha. Tujuan dari penelitianini adalah untuk mengetahui kontribusi pembelajaran hidrokarbon dengan menggunakankolaborasi konstruktif dan inkuiri berorientasi Chemo-Entrepreneurship (CEP) pada hasilbelajar dan minat berwirausaha siswa. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan dengan metode kuasieksperimentaldi SMAN 1 Jepara. Data penelitian diperoleh dengan metode dokumentasi,tes, angket, dan observasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa rata-rata hasil belajar siswakelas eksperimen sebesar 72,41 dengan ketuntasan mencapai 78,38%, sedangkan rata-ratakelas kontrol sebesar 68,68 dengan ketuntasan 56,76%. Rata-rata minat berwirausaha siswakelas eksperimen setelah perlakuan sebesar 76,22, dan sebanyak 81,08% siswa memilikinilai e” 68. Sementara itu, kelas kontrol rata-rata minat berwirausaha hanya sebesar 63,60dan 27,03% siswa memiliki nilai e” 68. Hasil penelitian menyimpulkan bahwa pembelajaranhidrokarbon dengan menggunakan kolaborasi konstruktif dan inkuiri berorientasi CEPmeningkatkan hasil belajar dan minat berwirausaha siswa. Kata Kunci: konstruktif, inkuiri, chemo-entrepreneurship

Abstract

This study aimed to determine the effect of the inquiry method assisted chemistry emodule toward the learning outcomes. Population in this study is XI-IA grader of Senior High School (SHS) student in Tegal for academic year 2011/2012. Determination of the sample with cluster random sampling system obtained two classes, both are XI-IA3 grader as a experimental group received treatment using the methods of inquiry method assisted chemistry e-module and XI-IA as a control group received treatment using conventional method assisted audio visual.The research data obtained by the method of documentation, tests, questionnaires, and observation. The results of the study showed that the experimental group had an average grade of 84.90 and a control group had an average grade of 74.03. Based on the analysis, the experimental group is better than the control group with t count (3.08)> t table (1.99). The conclusion of this research is the application of inquiry method assisted chemistry e-module effect on student learning outcomes on solubility and solubility product subject, which is indicated by the coefficient of correlation (rb) of 0.46 with the influence of 21, 61%Keyword: Inquiry Method, E-module Assisted
