Abstract

This study discusses the formulation of a mathematical model of string vibration when subjected to mass. There are two variables resulting from the formulation of the model, namely the deflection of the string  and the angle of the string . The deflection of the string  and the angle of the string .  are affected by the friction force, tension force, spring force, and gravity. Then the identification of the working potential and kinetic energy is carried out to obtain the Lagrange equation of the deflection and angle of the string. Based on the formulation steps that have been described, the mathematical model obtained is an ordinary differential equation of the order of one to the power of two. Furthermore, the model is calculated numerically by assigning values to the parameters involved. So it is known that with a string mass of 0.005 kg, 0.05 kg, 0.5 kg, a string mass of 0.075 kg, and an object radius of 0.07 m, it is known that the deflection of the string  is greater if the object's mass is greater. While the angle of the string is in a state of equilibrium before being subjected to a mass and experiencing vibration after being subjected to a mass.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the order of textbooks based on van Hiele's theory. The research approach used is descriptive qualitative. The method used is content analysis or content study. The data subject in this research is junior high school mathematics textbook grade VIII curriculum 2013. The research was conducted by looking at the suitability of the characteristics at each van Hiele level with the textbook. Then if a discrepancy is found in the analysis, a solution is given according tZo the researcher's skills. The results showed that in general all the material "Surface Area of Cuboid and Cubes" in the Mathematics textbook of junior high school grade VIII curriculum 2013 material on the concept of surface area of cuboid and cubes has not fulfilled the order based on van Hiele's theory as a whole, namely there is an incomplete explanation in each level. The level of sequence analyzed in this textbook reaches level 2 (Ordering). So it is recommended for future research that the results of this analysis be used as a reference in teaching geometry material to students.

Abstract

This study discusses the employees' perceptions of the organizational culture at PT. Indomarco Prismatama. Through a qualitative approach, this research highlights aspects such as the business environment, values, role models, rituals, and networking within the organization, as outlined by Deal and Kennedy (Bantam, Nugraha, & Sa’adah, 2016). The research method employed is phenomenology to understand employees' experiences related to work culture. The research findings indicate that collaboration, support, honesty, integrity, and discipline are important values applied within the company. Additionally, role models such as district business managers set motivating examples for employees. Company rituals and informal communication networks also play a role in strengthening the organizational culture. In conclusion, a positive organizational culture plays a key role in achieving common goals and maintaining a productive work environment.

Abstract

Although traditional Javanese wedding ceremonies and the Solo Putri bridal makeup style continue to be preserved by the Javanese community in Luhak Nan Duo District, West Pasaman Regency, modernization, socio-economic changes, and declining youth understanding of traditional values have led to the simplification and alteration of customary practices. This study aims to describe the sequence of traditional Javanese wedding ceremonies, analyze the makeup, hair arrangement, and bridal attire of the Solo Putri style, along with their underlying philosophical meanings. A descriptive qualitative approach was employed, with data collected through field observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation involving community leaders, cultural elders, and bridal makeup artists. Data analysis was conducted through stages of reduction, presentation, and conclusion drawing, by comparing current practices with traditional standards. The findings indicate that most core ceremonies—such as the engagement, wedding contract (akad nikah), and panggih ceremony—are still preserved in accordance with tradition, while other rituals like siraman, midodareni, and ngunduh mantu are increasingly being abandoned. The Solo Putri makeup style has undergone modifications in materials for paes, cosmetic color choices, and the use of ready-made hair buns instead of traditional pandan buns. Bridal attire has also adapted to modern trends, although it retains distinctive elements such as velvet kebaya and batik cloth featuring the sidoasih motif. These findings underscore the importance of preserving traditions through adaptive practices that respect cultural values, and highlight the need to educate younger generations to ensure the continuity of cultural heritage amidst changing times.
