Abstract

The region in Indonesia is indicated to have many critical lands. Critical lands are lands that have experienced degradation so that the land cannot function properly. In other words, efforts to obtain benefits from the level of productivity that should not be comparable to the results of production. Therefore, efforts must be made to improve the land so that its productivity can recover. In the Curug sub-district, Bogor City, there are critical lands. This critical land is caused by steep land topology and high rainfall. One of the critical land areas is the Curug River watershed. The slope of the land on the side of the river exceeds a slope of 45º. High rainfall causes the land to experience cracks accompanied by subsidence of the land surface. One of the handling efforts that can be carried out on an ongoing basis is integrated reforestation. Based on these problems, the aim of this community service (PKM) is to provide education regarding the dangers of critical land and cultivating critical land with durian seeds. This activity was carried out by a team consisting of source persons, lecturers and students from the Faculty of Earth and Energy Technology, Trisakti University. The PKM activity was attended by the Head of RW 13 and the Head of RT 3 in Curug Village and their staff. Apart from that, the PKM was attended by the men and women of RT 3 residents who actively participated in counseling activities and planting durian seeds along the areas along the river and other areas.

Abstract

Drilling mud is an essential element in oil and gas well drilling operations. With primary functions such as lifting cuttings to the surface and maintaining borehole stability, it plays a vital role in ensuring a smooth and successful drilling process. The major challenge in drilling operations is dealing with reactive clay or shale formations that are susceptible to clay swelling and formation damage. To overcome this problem, high-performance water-based muds, such as KCl and Polyamine polymer muds, have been developed. Laboratory studies were conducted to test the physical properties of the muds at temperatures of 80 ˚F, 200 ˚F, and 250 ˚F for 16 hours using a hot roller. Tests included density, viscosity, rheology, and plastic viscosity. The mud composition was equalized at all temperatures to assess comparative performance. The results showed a decrease in the physical properties of polyamine polymer and KCl polymer muds with increasing temperature. To maintain the performance of the mud at high temperatures, additional treatment with additives were required. Barite, PAC LV, XCD, and PHPA were the additives introduced to the polymer KCl and polyamine mud in this experiment. It took 45 grams of barite in total to reach the necessary density requirements. For polyamine mud, 1.5 grams of PAC LV and for polymer KCl mud, 3.5 grams of PAC LV were needed to reach the necessary viscosity requirements. In the meantime, 1.5 grams of XCD and 2.5 grams of PHPA were needed to achieve the plastic viscosity requirements for polyamine mud, and 1 gram of XCD and 2 grams of PHPA were needed for polymer KCl mud.

Abstract

Keberhasilan proses pemboran sumur minyak tergantung pada kualitas dan campuran semen pemboran. Perencanaan komposisi pembuatan bubur semen yaitu air, bahan tambahan, atau campuran tambahan lainnya perlu dianalisa untuk menghasilkan sifat-sifat bubur semen yang diinginkan. Tujuan penelitian adalah untuk mengetahui komposisi dan sifat fisik bubur semen dengan penambahan zat adiktif cangkang kerang pada tiga variasi suhu waktu pengentalan, kuat tekan, dan rheologi bubur semen. Metodologi penelitian, desain penelitian kuantitatif menguji pengaruh penambahan aditif terhadap berbagai sifat fisik bubur semen. Pelaksanaan sesuai dengan protokol penelitian yang telah disusun. Analisis dengan mengukur waktu penebalan, kuat tekan, dan reologi bubur semen menggunakan peralatan vicat, dengan memperhatikan kondisi tekanan dan suhu standar API 10A. Hasil penelitian, pengujian semen kelas G dengan aditif kerang pada kadar air 44% menunjukkan hasil penurunan kuat tekan dengan setiap penambahan konsentrasi aditif. Penambahan aditif clamshell pada kadar air 44% dengan tiga variasi temperatur yaitu 80°F, 140°F, dan 200°F waktu perendaman selama 24 jam dan 8 jam. Suhu memiliki pengaruh yang besar terhadap uji waktu pengentalan sampel semen dan waktu perendaman akan berpengaruh lebih besar terhadap penambahan aditif kerang. Hasil uji waktu pengentalan semen kelas G dengan penambahan aditif cangkang kerang pada substitusi cangkang kerang 0%, 15%, 20%, 25% dan 50%, menunjukkan bahwa semakin banyak substitusi cangkang kerang maka semakin cepat waktu pengeringan pada pembacaan vicat dan hasil yang sama Ditemukan juga pada uji kuat tekan ekosemen pada substitusi cangkang kerang 0%, 15%, 20%, 25% dan 50% menunjukkan penurunan nilai kuat tekan dengan semakin banyak substitusi shell ditambahkan.

Abstract

Minyak jelantah dapat menimbulkan dampak buruk terhadap masalah pada kesehatan. Minyak jelantah juga menimbulkan masalah pada lingkungan. Di sisi lain minyak jelantah dapat diolah menjadi sabun. Sehingga pemanfaatan minyak jelantah dapat mengurangi limbah rumah tangga di Indonesia yang terus meningkat dari tahun ke tahun. Berdasarkan permasalahan tersebut tujuan dari kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini adalah untuk memberikan penyuluhan dan pelatihan khususnya kepada Masyarakat di RW 5 yang berlokasi di RW 13, Kelurahan Curug, Kecamatan Bogor Barat, Kota Madya Bogor. Kegiatan ini mendapat antusiasme yang tinggi dari masyarakat setempat. Berdasarkan evaluasi terhadap perbandingan penilaian pre-test dan post-test yang dikerjakan oleh peserta memperlihatkan kenaikan dari nilai rata-rata 35,0 menjadi 80,7 atau kenaikan rata-rata sebesar 130,6%. Selain peningkatan pemahaman dan keahlian mengenai pembuatan sabun, para peserta juga termotivasi menjadi masyarakat yang produktif di samping meningkatkan kepedulian untuk memelihara kelestarian lingkungan.
