Abstract

Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui kesulitan belajar siswa kelas XI IPS 1 pada mata pelajaran sosiologi dilihat dari faktor internal, faktor eksternal dan upaya guru mengatasi masalah kesulitan belajar. Pendekatan yang digunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode deskriptif. Penelitian ini menggunakan 6 orang informan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan kesulitan belajar siswa dari faktor internal dari hasil observasi dan wawancara kepada siswa diketahui bahwa siswa menunjukkan adanya faktor penyebab kesulitan belajar yang berasal dari dalam diri mereka, seperti memiliki sikap belajar, motivasi, berkonsentrasi yang kurang baik. Kurang mampu menunjukkan prestasi belajar, kurang percaya diri dan kebiasaan belajar yang buruk. Dari faktor eksternal, lingkungan keluarga dan sekolah, kurangnya pengawasan dan perhatian orang tua serta kurangnya ketersediaan sarana prasarana pendukung dalam proses pembelajaran menyebabkan anak menjadi kesulitan belajar. Upaya guru dalam mengatasi kesulitan belajar sudah menunjukkan adanya hasil. Terlihat dari nilai yang diperoleh siswa setelah guru melakukan tahap treatment yang sudah bisa mencapai nilai ketuntasan minimal (KKM).   Kata Kunci : Faktor Penyebab, Kesulitan Belajar Siswa Abstract: This research goals to know the students' learning difficulties in class XI IPS 1 on subjects sociology seen from internal factors, external factors and the efforts of teachers to overcome the problem of learning difficulties. The approach used qualitative approach with descriptive methods. This study uses 6 informants. The results showed students' learning difficulties from internal factors of observations and interviews to students note that the students showed the causes of learning difficulties that come from within them, such as having an attitude of learning, motivation, concentrating poor. Less able to demonstrate learning achievement, lack of confidence and poor study habits. Of external factors, family and school environment, lack of supervision and attention from their parents as well as the lack of availability of supporting infrastructure in the learning process causing the child into learning difficulties. The efforts of teachers in overcoming learning difficulties already showed results. Seen from the value obtained by the students after the teacher did stage treatment can reach values ​​minimum completeness (KKM).   Keywords: The Causes , Students’ Difficulties of studying

Abstract

Background: The increasing number of elderly becomes the main problem related with physical, economy and social conditions. Elderly who lives in isolated area will aggravate their living process. Community of Tionghoa ethnic who live in the Saliung mountain is a group of community who have ever been eliminated socially or politically. Objective: This research was aimed to find out problems that related with way of living, hygiene and health codition of elderly in the household of Tionghoa ethnics community. Method: This was a qualitative research that used social culture approach and intrinsic case study (participatory) design. This research was implemented in Saliung mountain range in the village of Sedau, sub district of South Singkawang, West Kalimantan. The sought variable was way of living, knowledge, attitude and personal hygiene and health behavior. Information was obtained from elderly, community, health officer, village officials, tradition and culture institution that oriented on triangulation. Data was presented in the form of diagram, documentation, direct reference and description. Result: This research was succeed in exploring knowledge, attitude and behavior of elderly in the household and various aspects that were related with the living of elderly and community of Tionghoa ethnic generally, including personal hygiene as the effect of high work productivity so that time and opportunity is very limited for for personal care. Conclusion: Problems of way of living, personal hygiene and health condition of Tionghoa ethnic community in Saliung mountain were related with perspectives in order health intervention to succeed.
