Abstract

It is required for all educational components to use online learning during the COVID-19 pandemic. The flipped classroom model with social media can be an excellent way to implement the changes necessary for the modern educational environment, particularly Telegram. This study analyzed how a flipped classroom using a telegram bot for basic chemistry instruction fared during the COVID-19 outbreak. The research participants were 40 students from SMAN 1 Gondangwetan Pasuruan. They were split into experimental and control classes; each group consisted of twenty students. Using the questionnaire, also the data from the pre-test and post-test were gathered and analyzed. Data were examined using two average difference tests and descriptive quantitative percentages (Mann-Whitney test). The findings demonstrated that experimental classes improved students' cognitive learning outcomes. About 95% of the N-Gain scores were examined in the test group, compared to 70% in the control class. According to the Mann-Whitney test, the control and experiment classes are significantly different, which supported the finding with a significant value of 0.041<0.05. It has been demonstrated that the model enhances students' academic performance.

Abstract

Tempe dapat didefinisikan sebagai pangan olahan kedelai yang diolah melalui proses fermentasi. Kedelai mengandung isoflavon yang tinggi dibandingkan senyawa kompleks lainnya. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan literature review, pengumpulan data melalui Google Scholar dengan kata kunci “tempe’, “Rhizopus sp”, “isoflavon”, dan “pangan fungsional”. Isoflavon ialah senyawa polifenol yang memiliki struktur menyerupai estrogen. Isoflavon yang terkandung pada tempe terdiri dari genistein, daidzein, dan glycitein. Proses fermentasi kedelai menjadi tempe dapat meningkatkan ketersediaan isoflavon dengan mengubah senyawa isoflavon glikosida menjadi aglikon yang lebih mudah untuk diserap oleh tubuh. Perubahan senyawa isoflavon glikosida menjadi aglikon dipengaruhi oleh aktivitas enzim β-glukosidase yang dihasilkan oleh kapang Rhizopus oligosporus selama proses fermentasi. Isoflavon merupakan flavonoid dalam kacang kedelai yang memiliki potensi sebagai antioksidan yang mampu mengikat radikal bebas dan mencegah reaksi berantai radikal bebas. Isoflavon dapat membantu menurunkan resiko pengeroposan tulang (osteoporosis), aterosklerosis, biodegradasi, mengurangi prevalensi kanker prostat dan kanker payudara. Selain itu, isoflavon juga dapat membantu dalam menghambat atherogenesis dan menekan resorpsi tulang dengan cara mencegah oksidasi Low Density Lipoprotein (LDL).

Abstract

The need for media that supports online learning is increasing along with the Covid-19 pandemic that is spreading in the world. The learning media is expected to be in the form of media that is easy to use and does not require additional costs incurred by students. One application that is widely used today is Telegram. The application provides a telegram bot facility that can assist teachers in delivering the material they are taught. By using the telegram bot, students can easily use applications on their mobile phones without installing additional applications. This study discusses the development of online learning methods using telegram bots as a medium for delivering material to students using the approach of UCD. This study used usability testing to evaluate the Telegram bot as the media for flipped learning. There are five indicators measured in the usability evaluation we used in this research. The result of the assesment is 83.56%.

Abstract

Di Kota Pasuruan Ikan medai dan udang yang belum dimanfaatkan secara optimal, terutama dalam menghasilkan produk pangan bernilai tambah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi potensi ikan medai dan udang sebagai bahan baku penyedap rasa alami. Metode yang digunakan meliputi pembuatan bubuk penyedap rasa berbahan ikan medai dan udang kemudian dilakukan analisis sensori untuk mengetahui penerimaan penyedap rasa berbahan ikan medai dan udang. Atribut sesnsori yang diuji meliputi rasa, aroma, warna, dan overall. Analisis data pada uji hedonik dianalisis menggunakan software statistik SPSS Statistic 22. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan untuk atribut rasa yang paling disukai panelis ialah berturut-turut dari sampel yang berbahan dasar udang, kombinasi ikan-udang, dan penyedap rasa berbahan dasar ikan medai dengan nilai 3.25;3.02 dan 2.78, warna bubuk penyedap rasa yang paling disukai panelis ialah berturut-turut dari sampel yang berbahan dasar udang, kombinasi ikan-udang, dan penyedap rasa berbahan dasar ikan  medai dengan nilai 3.25; 2.93; dan 2.80. Sedangkan untuk atribut aroma, yang paling disukai panelis ialah penyedap rasa berbahan ikan medai dan udang, selanjutnya penyedap rasa berbahan udang dan nilai terendah ialah penyedap rasa berbahan ikan medai dengan nilai berturut-turut 3.12;2.83; dan 2.62. Penerimaan secara keseluruhan adalah pada penyedap rasa berbahan udang, kombinasi ikan medai dan udang dan yang terakhir ikan medai dengan nilai berturut-turut 3.38, 3.13 dan 2.90.

Abstract

Making environmentally friendly biopores and domestic incinerators is one method of waste management that can be used to overcome waste problems, both organic and non-organic waste management. This article discusses innovations in waste management in Tembokrejo, Pasuruan City through the use of environmentally friendly Biopores and Domestic Incinerators to overcome the waste problem in the subdistrict of Tembokrejo. Waste is one of the problems that until now has not been resolved properly. So an effective waste management strategy is needed to avoid environmental pollution. The use of biopores and environmentally friendly domestic incinerators is one of the waste management techniques. By using organic waste for biopores and an environmentally friendly Domestic Incinerator for burning non-organic waste with minimal smoke so it doesn't pollute the environment. . The method used in this service activity consists of four stages, namely Observation, Preparation, Implementation, Evaluation. The result of this service is a change in people's attitudes and behavior towards waste management through the innovation of using Biopores and Domestic Incinerators so that they are starting to be interested in using this innovation to make the sub-district of Batasrejo free from the difficulties of waste management.

Abstract

MBRT merupakan teknik analisis kualitatif susu segar yang mudah, tanpa kebutuhan laboratorium dan peralatan khusus. Reagen yang dibutuhkan hanyalah larutan methylene blue. Daerah-daerah tertentu yang jauh dari kota besar di Indonesia tidak memiliki akses supplier bahan kimia kualitas reagent terdekat, sehingga menjadi tantangan dalam memperoleh larutan dalam waktu cepat. Obat biru ikan secara umum memiliki kandungan daripada methylene blue dan relatif mudah diperoleh. Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis performa beberapa obat ikan komersil dalam MBRT. 4 obat biru (RA, SP, BI dan YR) ikan komersil diaplikasikan dalam MBRT dibandingkan dengan MB dan susu segar steril dan terkontaminasi. Seluruh perlakuan diinkubasi selama 240 menit Keempat obat ikan menunjukkan performa reduksi warna biru terhadap susu terkontaminasi. RA dan BI menunjukkan sisa warna biru yang tidak tereduksi, sedangkan MB, SP dan YR menunjukkan reduksi sempurna selama masa inkubasi. SP dan YR berpotensi dapat digunakan sebagai alternatif MB dalam MBRT.

Abstract

The problem that occurs in Tembokrejo Village is the lack of public awareness in disposing of waste which is still done carelessly. Anticipation verbally for the PkM (Community Service) team to increase public awareness about waste disposal, especially through a program to install signs prohibiting littering. The initial step is to survey the location of the sign installation. Then, sanding and painting are carried out as well as renewal of signs from the Public Works and Spatial Planning Agency (DPUPR) of Pasuruan City and the Water Resources and Drainage Agency (SDAD). Then, the process of installing signs by the PkM team was assisted by the SDAD Agency and DPUPR of Pasuruan City and produced 4 signs. The PkM team used interviews as an evaluation of the effectiveness of signs for public awareness of cleanliness. KKN students hope that the presence of these signs can attract the attention of the surrounding community to comply with these regulations so that a clean and healthy environment is created.
