Abstract

Colo Volcano is an active volcano located on Una-Una Island, Tojo Una-Una Regency, Central Sulawesi Province. Volcanism and magmatism of Mount Colo are still in progress, and this has certainly triggered mineralization in volcanic rocks which is interesting for study. This research aims to reveal the mineralization characteristics of volcanic rocks in the study area. This research was conducted through investigative methods in the form of field observations and laboratory through petrographic and rock chemistry (X-Ray Defraction analysis) to reveal the presence of alteration minerals as a characteristic of mineralization. The results of this study indicate that the volcanic rocks present are tuff and volcanic breccia in the form of pyroclastic deposits associated with alluvial material and andesite rocks. Identification of alteration minerals through XRD test shows the presence of hydrothermal alteration minerals with a formed temperature of 300 ° C such as Quartz, Calcite, Clinochlore, Albite, Dickite, Andesine, and K-Feldspar which are classified into Argillic and Propylitic alteration types.

Abstract

In the hydrological cycle, the rain falling on the ground surface in a watershed (DAS) then undergoes a process of evaporation, infiltration, and surface runoff. This conversion of rain into runoff surface can be used as a basis for calculating the discharge of the design flood. Analyzing flood design is one of the calculations in water resource planning. River flow discharge is an indicator of the output of a watershed system, especially in the process of converting rainfall into a surface flow. Flood discharge in a watershed is generally expressed as a hydrograph. One method that can be used to analyze the conversion of rain into flow is the HEC-HMS software. The purpose of this research is to determine the design of flood discharge and flow hydrograph of Tojo River using HEC-HMS software. In this article, the HEC-HMS model components used to analyze hydrographs are SCS CN for the runoff volume model and SCS UH for the direct runoff model. From the results of modeling using HEC-HMS, the peak flow discharge of the Tojo watershed in Central Sulawesi are 133.8 m3/s for a 2-year design flood, 239.8 m3/s for a 5-year design flood, 329.5 m3/s for 10-year design flood, 442.5 m3/s for 20-year design flood, 589.8 m3/s for 50-year design flood and 727.1 m3/s for 100-year design flood. Furthermore, the results of this study can be used for flood control planning and other water resource planning.Keywords: Flood Design, Das Tojo, HEC-HMS

Abstract

Building a technopreneur mentality has a significant positive impact. Students who have technopreneur spirit and skills have the potential to create more technology startups and creative businesses. The Community Service (PkM) activity was carried out with two methods, namely knowledge transfer and the Community Development Model. The event was attended by 20 students from three study programs at PSDKU UNTAD Morowali and took place with direct interaction in Bungku city. The results of this PkM hope that PSDKU UNTAD Morowali students will be able to become competitive drivers of change in the world of industry and the creative economy. The evaluation showed that the average score of participants in the pre-test was 65.6, still below the standard of 75. However, after the presentation of the material, the average score of participants in the post-test increased to 82.4, indicating an increase in participants' understanding after participating in the PkM. In the future, this activity should involve technopreneurship practitioners from various fields

Abstract

Informasi digital yang berkembang pesat, menjadi tuntutan efisiensi dalam pengelolaan literatur dan sitasi menjadi penting dalam dunia akademis. Mendeley, sebagai platform manajemen referensi dan sitasi, memberikan fasilitas penyimpanan, pengaturan referensi, serta kemudahan membuat sitasi dan daftar pustaka. Kelebihannya termasuk kemampuan sinkronisasi referensi di berbagai perangkat, plugin untuk pengolah kata, statistik literatur, identifikasi tren penelitian, dan kolaborasi antar peneliti. Dosen dan mahasiswa dituntut untuk mengikuti perkembangan sains teknologi dalam revolusi industri 4.0, di mana aplikasi seperti Mendeley menjadi keterampilan penting untuk menavigasi dunia literatur secara efektif. Perubahan signifikan terjadi dalam dunia pendidikan, di mana teknologi informasi telah menggantikan metode manual dalam penulisan daftar pustaka dan kutipan. Tujuan kegiatan pengabdian ini meningkatkan keterampilan mahasiswa Tingkat akhir pada Program Studi Di luar Kampus Utama (PSDKU) Tojo Una-Una Universitas Tadulako dalam menggunakan software Mendeley. Tahapan pelaksanaan kegiatan pengabdian ini dimulai dari koordinasi pada mitra pengabdian, kemudian mengatur jadwal pengabdian selanjutnya dilaksanakan pelatihan pada mitra sasaran. Kegiatan dihadiri 108 peserta mahasiswa yang terdiri dari 3 Program Studi, yaitu Prodi Manajemen, prodi Teknik Sipil dan Prodi Agroteknologi. Antusias peserta dalam mengikuti kegiatan ini sangat besar karena menambah wawasan baru tentang membuat karya tulis ilmiah lebih mudah. Hasil evaluasi menunjukkan kategori sangat paham sebesar 86%, sedangkan kategori paham sebesar 14%, serta cukup paham sebesar 5%. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa persentase keterampilan peserta setelah diberikan pelatihan terjadi peningkatan. Hal tersebut sebagai acuan bahwa pelatihan ini dapat meningkatkan keterampilan peserta dalam menulis karya ilmiah bagi mahasiswa tingkat akhir. Citation Management Training (Use of Mendeley) In Improving Scientific Paper Writing Skills For Final Level Students Abstract Rapidly growing digital information, demands for efficiency in literature management and citations are important in the academic world. Mendeley, as a reference and citation management platform, provides storage facilities, reference organization, and ease of creating citations and bibliographies. Its advantages include the ability to synchronize references across devices, plugins for word processing, literature statistics, identification of research trends, and collaboration between researchers. Lecturers and students must follow the development of science and technology in the Industrial Revolution 4.0, where applications such as Mendeley become important skills to navigate the world of literature effectively. Significant changes have occurred in education, where information technology has replaced manual methods in writing bibliographies and citations. The purpose of this community service activity is to improve the skills of final-year students in the Off-Campus Study Program (PSDKU) Tojo Una-Una, Tadulako University using Mendeley software. The stages of implementing this community service activity start from coordinating with community service partners, then arranging a community service schedule, and then carrying out training for target partners. The activity was attended by 108 student participants consisting of 3 Study Programs, namely the Management Study Program, Civil Engineering Study Program, and Agrotechnology Study Program. The enthusiasm of the participants in participating in this activity was very great because it added new insights about making scientific papers easier. The evaluation results showed a very understanding category of 86%, while the understanding category was 14%, and quite understanding was 5%. This indicates that the percentage of participant skills after being given training has increased. This is a reference that this training can improve participant skills in writing scientific papers for final-year students.

Abstract

This community service aims to enhance the scientific writing skills of PSDKU UNTAD Morowali students through the utilization of artificial intelligence (AI), recognizing the importance of writing skills for academic and societal contributions. The action research method was employed, involving students in problem identification, planning, and evaluation. The training was conducted in four sessions, covering AI introduction, reference selection, outline drafting, and grammar and plagiarism checks. The evaluation showed an improvement in understanding, with an average score of 4.15, where 83.75% of participants demonstrated a good grasp of the material. This program successfully met the students' needs, accelerated the writing process, and boosted their confidence through hands-on practice. Further development is needed for advanced training and online modules. These results underscore the importance of AI in improving the quality of students' scientific writing

Abstract

Artikel ilmiah merupakan sesuatu yang sangat penting dalam dunia kampus khususnya untuk mahasiswa dan dosen dimana bagi mahasiswa artikel ilimiah adalah syarat wajib untuk kelulusan sedangkan bagi dosen merupakan salah satu kewajiban tridarma perguruan tinggi serta sebagai syarat kenaikan pangkat dosen. Penggunaan aplikasi Mendeley Bagi mahasiswa merupakan salah satu kebutuhan untuk menulis skripsi dan menjadikan sebagai salah satu penyimpanan referensi skripsi sedangkan bagi Dosen pelatihan Mendeley mendorong percepatan publikasi ilmiah pada jurnal internasional bereputasi. Pelakasanaan Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat (PkM) Pelatihan Penggunaan Mendeley dilaksanakan pada Program Studi Diluar Kampus Utama (PSDKU) UNTAD Morowali  dengan pesertanya adalah mahasiswa sebanyak 45 orang,  dan Dosen sebanyak 5 orang.  Metode pelaksanaan yang digunakan pada Pelaksanaan PkM menggunakan dua Metode yakni knowledge transfer dan Model Community development dengan tahapan pelaksanaa; 1) perencaanaa, 2) Pelaksanaa, dan 3) evaluasi .pemaparan materi dilakukan melalui tatap muka di Program Studi Diluar Kampus Utama (PSDKU) UNTAD Morowali. Hasil dari kegiatan ini adalah 40 mahasiswa dan 5 dosen peserta sudah mampu untuk melakukan download, instalasi aplikasi plug in pada Ms. Word, mensitasi artikel, mencari referensi jurnal dan membuat daftar pustaka secara otomatis Citation Management Training (Using Mendeley) for Lecturers and Students of PSDKU UNTAD Morowali Scientific articles are something that is very important in the campus world, especially for students and lecturers, where students scientific articles are a mandatory requirement for graduation, while for lecturers it is one of the three obligations of higher education as well as a requirement for a promotion. from the lecturer. The use of the Mendeley application is a necessity for students to write theses and use it as a repository of thesis references, while for lecturers the use of Mendeley is needed to accelerate scientific publications in reputable international journals. The Community Service Training (PKM) with Mendeley was held Program Studi Diluar Kampus Utama (PSDKU) UNTAD Morowali with 45 students and 5 lecturers as participants. The implementation method used in the implementation of PkM uses two methods, namely the transfer of knowledge and the Community development model with the stages of implementation; 1) planning, 2) implementation, and 3) evaluation. The material was delivered face-to-face at the Main Campus Off-campus Study Program (PSDKU) UNTAD Morowali. The results of this activity were that 40 students and 5 participating lecturers were able to download, and install plug-in applications on Ms. Word, cite articles, look for journal references, and create bibliographies automatic.

Abstract

Dalam siklus hidrologi, hujan yang turun di permukaan tanah pada suatu Daerah Aliran Sungai (DAS) kemudian mengalami proses penguapan, infiltrasi, dan limpasan permukaan. Pengalihragaman hujan menjadi aliran permukaan ini dapat dijadikan dasar untuk menghitung debit banjir rancangan. Analisis banjir rancangan merupakan salah satu perhitungan dalam perencanaan sumber daya air. Debit aliran sungai adalah indikator keluaran dari suatu sistem DAS, khususnya dalam pada proses pengalihragaman hujan menjadi aliran permukaan. Debit aliran sungai umumnya dinyatakan sebagai hidrograf. Salah satu metode yang dapat digunakan untuk analisis pengalihragaman hujan menjadi aliran adalah software HEC-HMS. Pada artikel ini komponen model HEC-HMS yang digunakan untuk menganalisis hidrograf adalah SCS CN untuk model volume limpasan dan SCS UH untuk model limpasan langsung. Dari hasil pemodelan menggunakan HEC-HMS diperoleh debit puncak aliran DAS Tojo Sulawesi Tengah masing-masing adalah 133,8 m3/dtk untuk banjir rancangan 2 tahunan, 239,8 m3/dtk untuk banjir rancangan 5 tahunan, 329,5 m3/dtk untuk banjir rancangan 10 tahunan, 442,5 m3/dtk untuk banjir rancangan 20 tahunan, 589,8 m3/dtk untuk banjir rancangan 50 tahunan dan 727,1 m3/dtk untuk banjir rancangan 100 tahunan.

Abstract

Facilities and infrastructure in a region are crucial aspects of human life. With the presence of facilities and infrastructure in an area, individuals can smoothly carry out their daily activities. Mantikulore district is one of the districts that emerged from East Palu the main district, and one of its sub-districts is Lasoani sub-district. Therefore, an analysis is necessary regarding the projected space needs in Lasoani sub-district utilizing an information system encompasses data and maps of facilities and infrastructure designed for the process of collecting and storing object data. Based on the description, the researchers are keen on analyzing the analysis of space requirements in the Lasoani sub-district of Mantikulore district. The method employed during the analysis stage involves interpreting field-collected data into a map illustrating the distribution of infrastructure, utilizing satellite data and drones. Additionally, an analysis of space requirements will be conducted, encompassing population projections and facility projections for the next 20 years, from 2022 to 2042, in Lasoani sub-district. The calculation of projected space requirements adheres to SNI standards 03-1733-2004: Procedures for Planning Housing Environments in Urban Areas, planning needs for Environmental Infrastructure and Facilities.

Abstract

Liquefaction that occurred in Palu on September 28, 2018 shows that housing is the most damaged construction. Therefore, research for liquefaction mitigation devoted to residential residents becomes very necessary to be carried out, especially with simple and inexpensive mitigation methods, so that it can be affordable to most people. The selection of hollowed wood sticks as a strengthening material in this mitigation is expected to increase soil density and reduce the decrease that occurs due to liquefaction and holes made is a drainage system where at the time the pressure of pore water rises at the time of water doubling can flow in the holes that are still made or the ability of a soil in escaping water.  The purpose of this study is to determine the effectiveness of the use of reinforcing logs that are perforated against soil deformation on a 1-layer variation, a 2-layer variation and a new home strengthening variation. From  experimental testing obtained the percentage of effectiveness of the use of logs perforated as strengthening on several variations  are as follows: For the variation of strengthening 1 layer (old house) by 13.92%, the variation of strengthening 2 layers (old house) by 26.58% and for the variation of new home strengthening as much as 54.94%.
