Abstract

Penerapan metode ilmiah sebagai sarana penemuan ilmu pengetahuan sudah dikenal sejak zaman filosof kuno Aristoteles. Ketepatannya sudah tidak diragukan lagi. Metode ilmiah dapat diadaptasi menjadi strategi pembelajaran IPA. Langkah strategi pembelajaran mengadaptasi latihan penelitian disederhanakan seperti berikut ini: 1) Situasi yang membingungkan; 2) Pengumpulan data; 3) Verifikasi uji coba (eksperimentasi); 4) Mengolah informasi; dan 5) Analisis apa yang sudah dilakukan.

Abstract

This study aims to determine: (1) Student learning outcomes before applying Inquiry learning model on science subjects, (2) Student learning outcomes after applying Inquiry learning model on science subjects, (3) Improving the application of student learning outcomes after using learning model Inquiry on science subjects, Pesawat Sederhana topic  in the fifth grade students of MIS Parmiyatu Wassa'adah. This research uses Classroom Action Research (CAR) with three cycles. The subjects of the study were students in  the fifth grade students of  MIS ParmiyatuWassa'adah 29 students.Based on the results of this study can be concluded that: (1) Student learning outcomes before applying Inquiry model on pre-action is there are 3 complete students and 26 other students who have not completed with the average grade is 48.97 with the percentage of completeness Learning is 10.34% (2) Students' learning outcomes after applying the Inquiry model in the first cycle, there are 14 complete students and 15 other students who have not finished with the average is 69.31 with the percentage of learning result completeness is 48.28%. In second cycle there are 20 complete students and 9 other students who have not finished with the average  is 75.86 with the percentage of learning result completeness is 68.97%. In the third cycle there are 22 students and 7 other students have not completed with the average obtained is 83.10 with the percentage of learning result completeness is 75.86%.Thus it can be concluded that the application of Inquiry learning model can improve student learning outcomes in science subjects Pesawat sederhana topic in fifth grade of MIS Parmiyatu Wassa'adah Kec. Percut Sei Tuan Kab. Deli Serdang Tahun Ajaran  2016/2017.

Abstract

Penerapan metode praktek pada pembelajaran IPA sudah sering diterapkan guru ketika melaksanakan proses pembelajaran. Metode praktek memberikan pengalaman nyata bagi siswa ketika terjadi proses pembelajaran IPA. Penerapan metode praktek diharapkan dapat mengembangkan kemampuan berpikir ilmiah (scientific thinking) siswa terutama pada pembelajaran IPA. Setelah pembelajaran selesai, siswa sering tidak mengetahui apa yang telah dipelajarinya ketika belajar dengan penerapan metode praktek tersebut. Hal ini merupakan salah satu kelemahan pada pembelajaran IPA. Kemampuan berpikir ilmiah (scientific thinking) ini diperlukan sebagai syarat untuk dapat melakukan komunikasi dengan baik. Berdasarkan penelitian yang dilakukan di SD Tekad Mulia ditemukan bahwa kemampuan berpikir ilmiah (scientific thinking) siswa di sekolah tersebut masih rendah.

Abstract

Keterampilan proses sains bertujuan memberikan kesempatan kepada peserta didik untuk bekerja dengan ilmu pengetahuan secara sistematis serta membentuk pola pikir peserta didik secara ilmiah. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui pengaruh model inkuiri terbimbing pada materi ekosistem terhadap keterampilan proses sains siswa kelas X SMA/MA.Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di MAN Dairi pada tanggal 07 Juni 2021 s/d 15 Juni 2021. Jenis penelitian ini yaitu deskriptif kuantitatif. Sampel dalam penelitian ini berjumlah 2 Kelas X IPA MAN Sidikalang yang terdiri dari 62 Peserta didik. Teknik pengambilan sampel pada penelitian ini adalah Non-probability sampling. Instrumen yang digunakan berupa lembar observasi. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dan analisis data, dapat disimpulkan bahwa kelas eksperimen yang menggunakan model pembelajaran inkuiri terbimbing dalam pembelajaran materi ekosistem menunjukkan persentase nilai yang lebih baik dibandingkan dengan kelas kontrol. Nilai rata-rata keterampilan proses sains kelas eksperimen adalah 77,8 dan kelas kontrol adalah 63,1. Dari hasil uji statistik diperoleh hasil perhitungan uji hipotesis peserta didik bahwa thitung diperoleh sebesar 4,6729 dan ttabel diperoleh sebesar 1,6706 dengan taraf signifikansi 5% diketahui bahwa thitung> ttabel, maka H0 ditolak dan H1 diterima. Berdasarkan uji statistik diketahui terdapat pengaruh model inkuiri terbimbing terhadap keterampilan proses sains siswa kelas X SMA/MA.Penelitian selanjutnya diharapkan dapat menggunakan alternatif model pembelajaran lain yang dapat meningkatkan keterampilan proses sains peserta didik.

Abstract

This study aims to determine whether the Crossword Puzzle media has an effect on Critical Thinking of Class III students of MIS Farhan Syarif Hidayah on Jalan Orde Baru Gg, pipit Desa Muliorejo Kec. Sunggal district. Serdang deli. This research is a quantitative study using quasi-experimental methods. The research design used was a non-equivalent control group design. The population for this study was class III A consist of twenty students as experiment  and class III B MIS consist of twenty students as control class.  The results showed that there were differences in the ability to think critically on the subject of the characteristics of living things. The increase in critical thinking skills can be seen in the results of students' critical thinking tests in the experimental class after using crossword puzzle learning media and before using crossword puzzle learning media. The average post-test score for the experimental class was 84.50 and the post-test average score for the control class was 72.50. It can be concluded that there is an influence of the Crossword Puzzle learning method on students' critical thinking skills in class III MIS Farhan Syarif Hidayah and according to Researchers using crossword puzzle learning media can help students in repetition and habituation activities, so that students will easily learn material that is difficult in natural sciences. Learning media functions as a learning resource and a way for students to obtain information from the teacher. The benefits of learning media include guidelines for teachers to achieve quality learning objectives, increase students' interest and motivation in learning and make students think more critically.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the effect of outdoor study-based problem-based learning on high school students' critical thinking abilities on respiratory system material. This research methodology uses quantitative methods with a quasi-experimental type. The research population was class XI high school students with a sample size of 86 students. Data collection techniques were carried out by observation and written tests. Data analysis techniques use descriptive statistics and inferential statistics. The results of the research show that the average critical thinking ability of students in the experimental class taught using the outdoor study-based Problem Based Learning learning model is in the high category and the average critical thinking ability of students in the control class taught using the conventional learning model is low, this is based on the average posttest score from the experimental class, namely 80.22 and the control class, namely 55.95. The results of hypothesis testing using Independent Sample t-test statistics show that there is an influence of the outdoor study-based problem based learning model on the results of students' critical thinking abilities in the material on the human respiratory system Class XI Science SMA Brigjen Katamso 2 Medan.

Abstract

This research was conducted to know the extent to which students have reached their basic knowledge because, if it is too late, it will become a risk for evaluation and improvement in the future. They also will find it difficult when teaching their students later. The purpose of this study was to determine the implementation of the inquiry learning model and the student's basic knowledge about the material "the nature and change of object form" with the Quizizz game. Researchers used qualitative research methods with a descriptive approach. Data analysis used the model of Matthew B. Milles A. Michael Huberman which consisted of data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. From the results of the study, the implementation of the inquiry learning model on the material "the nature of change in the shape of objects" has six stages, namely, the lecturer prepares RPS and LKPD, while students raise questions, conduct experiments, and observations, explain the results of observations, and do quizzes using "Quizizz games". The Quizizz game has 15 questions, with a sample of 23 PGMI students. After applying the inquiry learning model, the basic knowledge of PGMI students whose scores are above 80% are 19 students, and those below 80% are four students. This is based on the data obtained by the researchers from the student Quizizz game scores. So, it can be concluded that in the implementation of the inquiry learning model, Quizizz games can be used as a supporting medium to determine the basic knowledge of students about the nature of change in the shape of objects. Abstrak Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui sejauh mana pentingnya pengetahuan dasar mahasiswa karena, jika hal ini terlambat diketahui, ini akan berdampak pada evaluasi dan perbaikan di kemudian hari. Mereka juga kesulitan ketika mengajar siswa-siswi nantinya. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui implementasi model pembelajaran inkuiri pada materi “sifat dan perubahan wujud benda” berbantuan game Quizizz dan pengaruhnya terhadap pengetahuan dasar mahasiswa. Peneliti menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan deskriptif. Analisis data menggunakan model Mattew B. Milles A. Michael Huberman yang terdiri atas reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Dari hasil penelitian implementasi model pembelajaran inkuiri pada materi sifat perubahan wujud benda terdapat enam tahapan, yaitu dosen menyiapkan RPS dan LKPD, mahasiswa membuat pertanyaan, melakukan percobaan, pengamatan, memaparkan hasil pengamatan, dan mengerjakan kuis menggunakan game Quizizz. Game Quizizz terdiri dari 15 butir soal, dengan sampel 23 mahasiswa PGMI. Setelah diterapkan model pembelajaran inkuiri, skor pengetahuan dasar mahasiswa PGMI diatas 80% ada 19 mahasiswa dan dibawah 80% ada empat mahasiswa. Hal ini berdasarkan pada data yang didapatkan dari skor game Quizizz mahasiswa. Karena itu disimpulkan bahwa implementasi model pembelajaran inkuiri berbantuan game Quizizz dapat digunakan sebagai media pendukung untuk mengetahui pengetahuan dasar mahasiswa mengenai sifat perubahan wujud benda.

Abstract

Critical thinking is very important for every individual in facing various problems in everyday life in order to solve their own problems. Data collection methods in this study include observation, questionnaires, and tests, the tests here include the initial test (pre-test) and the final test (post-test). The level of validity of STEM-based LKPD on the material of changes in the form of objects is said to be very valid, according to the results of the assessment of three experts, namely material experts, namely 84% (very valid), media experts, namely 87.5% (very valid), and class teachers at MIN 7 Medan by 86.3% (very valid). The level of practicality of STEM-based LKPD to improve critical thinking skills on the material of changes in the form of objects is categorized as practical, according to the results of small-scale trials with a percentage of 89.2% with a very practical category, and large-scale trials with a percentage of 91.0% with a very practical category. The level of effectiveness of STEM-based LKPD on the material of changes in the form of objects with an N-Gain score scale assessment is categorized as high, namely 0.73 and is categorized as high to improve critical thinking skills in students with a post-test score of 83.6%. From all the results above, it can be concluded that STEM-based LKPD can improve critical thinking skills in elementary schools, and is suitable for use in the school environment.

Abstract

This study aims to determine: (1) the learning outcomes before using the Reading Guide learning strategy in the Islamic Theology and Ethics (Akidah Akhlak) subject on the topic of Asmaul Husna in class 4A of MIN 1 Serdang Bedagai; (2) the learning outcomes after using the Reading Guide strategy in the same subject and class; and (3) the implementation of the Reading Guide strategy in improving students’ learning outcomes. This research is a Classroom Action Research (CAR) involving 27 students from class 4A as the research subjects. The findings indicate that prior to the implementation of the strategy, students’ average score was 58.9%, with only 26% (7 students) achieving the minimum mastery criteria. After applying the Reading Guide strategy in Cycle I, the average score increased to 67.03%, with 59% (16 students) achieving mastery. In Cycle II, the average score further increased to 83.37%, with 100% (27 students) meeting the mastery criteria. Therefore, it can be concluded that the Reading Guide strategy effectively improves students’ learning outcomes in the Islamic Theology and Ethics subject on the topic of Asmaul Husna in class 4A of MIN 1 Serdang Bedagai for the academic year 2022–2023.

Abstract

The ability to read comprehension is an important skill that must be mastered by elementary school students. This study aims to determine the influence of the PQ4R strategy on the reading comprehension ability of fourth grade MIS Istiqomah Medan students. The research uses a quantitative approach with a one-group pretest-posttest design. The researcher used grade IV students of MIS Istiqomah Medan with 14 students as a research experiment. The instrument used was a reading comprehension essay test. The results showed a significant influence, from the average pretest score of 27.86 to 86.5 in the posttest. The statistical test showed a significance value (2-tailed) with a value of 0.000 which showed a positive influence of the PQ4R strategy. Thus, this strategy has proven to be effective in helping students understand reading more deeply and is suitable for application in Indonesian learning at the elementary school level.
