Abstract

The Kapuas Riverbanks area is highly prone to tidal flooding (rob floods) due to tidal influences and rising river water levels. Recurring tidal floods not only cause physical damage but also impact the psychological well-being of the affected communities, particularly adolescents. Adolescents, as a vulnerable group, face emotional and social challenges, making them more susceptible to anxiety disorders triggered by the uncertainty and stress caused by such disasters, such as the threat of losing their homes, disruptions to daily activities, and concerns about their future.This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of digital SEFT (Spiritual Emotional Freedom Technique) therapy in alleviating anxiety disorders among adolescents affected by tidal flooding in the operational area of Tambelan Sampit Community Health Center. The study employs a Quasi-Experimental design with a pre-test and post-test approach. Anxiety levels were measured using the HARS (Hamilton Anxiety Rating Scale), which has been digitally integrated into an Android-based application to facilitate accessibility and improve data collection accuracy. The results indicate that digital SEFT therapy significantly reduces anxiety scores in adolescents affected by tidal flooding. This demonstrates that a digital-based approach offers a practical and effective solution for supporting adolescent mental health in disaster-prone areas. The study recommends incorporating digital SEFT therapy into psychological disaster response programs, especially for addressing the psychological impacts of tidal flooding, to efficiently reach broader populations.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan mengingat huruf dan angka pada siswa kelas 1 A SD Negeri Gunung sari 1 melalui penggunaan media flashcard. Masalah yang dihadapi adalah rendahnya kemampuan siswa dalam mengingat huruf dan angka, yang menghambat proses pembelajaran lebih lanjut. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) dengan model Kemmis dan McTaggart, yang terdiri dari dua siklus. Setiap siklus melibatkan tahapan perencanaan, pelaksanaan, pengamatan, dan refleksi. Subjek penelitian adalah siswa kelas 1 A SD Negeri Gunung Sari 1 yang berjumlah 25 orang. Data dikumpulkan melalui tes kemampuan mengingat huruf dan angka, observasi selama proses pembelajaran, serta wawancara dengan guru kelas. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan media flashcard secara signifikan meningkatkan kemampuan mengingat siswa. Pada siklus pertama, hasil tes menunjukkan peningkatan sebesar 30%, dan pada siklus kedua meningkat lagi menjadi 50%. Selain itu, siswa terlihat lebih aktif dan termotivasi dalam mengikuti pembelajaran.Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa media flashcard efektif dalam meningkatkan kemampuan mengingat huruf dan angka pada siswa kelas 1 A SD Negeri Gunung sari 1. Penggunaan media ini juga membuat proses pembelajaran menjadi lebih menarik dan interaktif. Oleh karena itu, disarankan bagi guru untuk mempertimbangkan penggunaan media flashcard sebagai alternatif dalam mengajarkan materi dasar kepada siswa.

Abstract

Pregnant women are vulnerable to various risks during pregnancy, so it is important for women to care about the condition of the fetus and themselves during this period. A self management education approach with the SMEERI model is needed to conduct early detection of pregnancy danger signs. This study aims to analyse the effectiveness of the SMEERI (Self Management Education for Pregnancy Risk) model through educational videos in improving the knowledge and skills of cadres on early detection of pregnancy danger signs. The study used a Quasi Experimental design with a pre-test and post-test approach in one group without a control group. The total respondents in this study were 15 posyandu cadres in the Tambelan Sampit Health Centre Working Area. The results showed that the Smeeri model through educational videos had a significant impact in improving knowledge and skills in early detection of pregnancy danger signs in health cadres. This study suggests that the development of the Smeeri programme can be applied in digital products or platforms that are easily accessible to the community.

Abstract

Spiritual Care is an aspect that cannot be separated from the holistic nursing care process. However, until now, spiritual care has not been prioritized, even though spiritual problems have been proven to support the patient's healing process. This condition needs to be followed up, one of which is by continuously analyzing the situation. This research aims to Describe problems that generally occur in the process of Spiritual Care. Researchers used quantitative descriptive research methods. The sample in this research consisted of only 11 samples, with a total sampling technique. Researchers experienced limitations, considering several potential respondents were currently in the educational process. The results of the research show that there are specific variables that hinder the optimization of Spiritual Care, namely the time that nurses have, the patient's awareness, and the lack of training related to Spiritual Care. The author concludes that there is a need for better support with Spiritual Care management. Innovative approaches also need to be given to patients, to increase their awareness.

Abstract

High levels of anxiety and low resilience remain common psychological challenges faced by individuals in coping with life stressors. Technology-based approaches, such as mental health applications, offer innovative and easily accessible solutions, yet remain under-researched in Indonesia.  This study aims to analyze the Qolbu Care application’s effectiveness on respondents' anxiety and resilience levels. The research employed a quasi-experimental design with a one-group pretest–posttest approach involving 90 respondents. The intervention was administered over eight weeks using the Qolbu Care application. Standardized anxiety and resilience questionnaires were used as research instruments. Data were analyzed using a paired t-test. The analysis revealed a statistically significant reduction in anxiety levels (mean = –16.45; SD = 8.12; SE = 1.05; p = 0.0001), as well as a statistically significant increase in resilience (mean = 11.40; SD = 6.85; SE = 0.98; p = 0.0001). The Qolbu Care application has proven effective in reducing anxiety and enhancing resilience among respondents. These findings affirm that digital-based interventions can be an innovative alternative for psychosocial support within nursing practice.

Abstract

Background: Dengue fever (DHF) is an endemic disease that creates a high mortality rate and is often considered an extraordinary event. In 2023, Indonesia recorded more than 143,000 cases of DHF and ranked the highest in Southeast Asia. One of the main causes of the high number of DHF cases is the low knowledge of the community regarding its prevention and management. This study aimed to determine the effect of education through a pocket book on housewives' knowledge about DHF. Methods: The study used a quasi-experimental one group pretest-posttest design with 17 housewives selected through total sampling. Results: The pretest results showed that most respondents had poor knowledge of dengue (82.4%), while 17.6% had moderate knowledge. After education through the pocket book, the posttest results showed an improvement, with 88.2% of respondents reaching a good level of knowledge and 11.8% in the moderate category. This finding proves that the pocket book is effective in improving respondents' knowledge about DHF. Statistical analysis using the Wilcoxon test showed a p value <0.05, indicating a positive effect of education through the pocket book. Conclusion: The conclusion of this study shows that the pocket book as an educational media is effective in increasing housewives' knowledge about DHF. It is recommended that the pocket book be used more widely in public health education programs to reduce the incidence of DHF.
