Abstract

Buah pisang mencapai tingkat matang apabila pembesaran buah berakhir. Pisang yang mencapai tingkat matang akan masak dengan sempurna. Untuk menentukan kematangan buah dapat di tentukan dengan melihat ukuran dan bentuk dari jejari buah, warna, kulit, rupa warna benang sari yang tertinggal atau umur buah selepas pengeluaran jantung. Pemanenan pisang harus dilakukan secara hati-hati untuk menghindari kerusakan fisik dan penurunan mutu buah yang mengakibatkan kerugian (Sjaifullah, 1997). Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh konsentrasi asap cair dan suhu terhadap penyimpanan buah pisang talas. Serta menentukan konsentrasi dan suhu yang optimal untuk memperpanjang umur simpan buah pisang talas agar kesegaran bertahan lebih lama. Metode yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah rancangan acak kelompok (RAK). Analisis data menggunakan analisis varians ANOVA (One-Way Anova) yang dilanjutkan uji Duncan’s Multiple Range Test (DMRT) dan uji Kruskall-Wallis dilanjutkan dengan uji Multiple Comparisons (Post Hoc Test). Nilai terbaik terhadap Kekerasan (tekstur) Buah Pisang Talas yaitu hari ke-16 pada suhu ruang (S1) konsentrasi 10% dengan nilai (S1K3: 1,3d) dan Nilai terbaik terhadap Aroma Buah Pisang Talas yaitu hari ke-16 pada suhu ruang ber-AC (S2) konsentrasi 0% dengan nilai (S2K1: 1,13)

Abstract

Te reserearch purpose is 1) to reveal the implementation of television media advertising and 2) to explain theadvertising effectiveness on television for the motorcycle of Yamaha Mio at Jambi City. The data is colected by using seruvey and questionaire. The analysis used EPIC Model to quantify the advertising effectiveness. The result shwos that based on EPIC dimension, theadvertising has effective effect. Hence, firm could design action that connects to this EPIC construct. Keywords. Abstract

Bio additives are substances from nature that are combined with other substances to perform specific tasks, such as lowering exhaust emissions, preventing corrosion, and increasing engine efficiency. Therefore, the purpose of this study was to determine how the effect of adding bio additives to pertalite fuel on the performance of a 4 TAK motorcycle engine. Clove oil is the bioadditive used in this study. The experimental strategy was used in this study to approach the research by reading books and magazines. This research was conducted at PT. Indako Trading which is located in Siti Rejo I, Kec. Medan City, Jl. Sisingamangaraja No. 362, Medan City, North Sumatra 20144. In this experiment, different ratios of pertalite and bio additive fuels were used, including pure pertalite fuel 2:1000 ml, 5:1000 ml, 10:1000 ml, and 1000 ml. From the results of the tests carried out in this study, there was an increase in the power and torque values of the motorcycle, with the highest power and torque values of 0.4 kW and 0.4 Nm, respectively, in the comparison of variations in the mixture of bioadditives and pertalite of 5:1000 ml and 1000 ml of pure pertalite.

Abstract

Hydraulic press machine is a tool used for work that requires a compressive action force. The stress distribution that occurs in this study will be determined in the development of a press machine under a state of pressing with a load of 20 tons. Researchers use Finite Element Analysis (FEA) to generate data on the stress circulation in the engine construction. The research objectives: (1) Calculate the hydraulic pressure strength in theory, (2) Calculate the mechanical stress in the hydraulic press construction manually using the ANSYS R15.0 software, (3) Calculate the strength of the hydraulic press construction manually and using the ANSYS R15 software. .0. In this review, FEA estimation is completed with the help of Ansys Workbench R15.0 programming. The information load comes from hydraulic pressure. The inspection strategy utilizes FEA with the type of underlying structural analysis. FEA simulation results stated, the maximum stress that occurs in the table is 98.646 MPa and the maximum deformation is 0.21613 mm. The results of Ansys analysis stated that the maximum stress that occurs on the table is 98.646 MPa and the maximum deformation is 0.21613 mm. Considering the Tresca hypothesis, it is found that the stresses and deformations that occur are below the standard for structural failure. So that the frame of the hydraulic press is safe for use in a load of 20 tons.

Abstract

Occupational safety and health (OSH) is basically in the interest of all parties and is a basic right for workers. A safe and comfortable working process is an asset that is maintained continuously for quality and timely production. Work accidents are something that is highly avoided, work accident control must be carried out with methods that are in accordance with the field and industrial conditions. The purpose of the discussion in this paper is, how to control OSH in the fabrication industry in a sustainable manner, how to create good OSH regulations and make the production process safe and comfortable, how to form a good and professional work attitude. Work accidents that occur are actually the end result of a rule and unsafe working conditions. 85% of the causes of accidents are human factors. The fabrication industry carries out several processes such as welding, cutting, final processing and other supporting processes in the workshop. Recommendations have been made and implemented to reduce and control work accidents. The application of OSH in accordance with the concept of occupational health and safety management, theoretically the industry will be able to reduce the number of work accidents even to zero accidents from work accidents.

Abstract

Convection heat transfer rate on a flat plate with a certain temperature can be increased by increasing the average heat transfer coefficient, increasing the surface area of heat transfer or both. In this study, stones and marbles were used as specimens of porous media with a diameter of 15 mm with a rock porosity of 43.8%, and marbles of 50.3% which were packed on a flat plate and tested in a rectangular air channel with an air velocity of 1 m /. s, 2 m / s, 3 m / s, 4 m / s, 5 m / s. Take experimental measurements on a heater set at 220 V. After steady conditions are established, record the temperature on the flat plate and the ambient air temperature. The highest Nusselt number occurs on flat plates with rock specimens of 69.025 and the highest convection heat transfer occurs on flat plates without porous media at 44.98 Watt, while convection heat transfer on flat plates with rock-porous media is lower than flat plates with porous media marbles. The friction factor decreases as the Reynold number increases. The greater the Reynold number, Nusselt number and the Convection heat transfer, followed by a decrease in the friction factor

Abstract

Cooling Tower or cooling tower is a technology used in the industrial world, cooling tower works to cool water fluid by using wind power that comes from a fan or blower, how the cooling tower works is basically hot water coming from the machine is flowed to the cooling tower then water through the fill-fills that are in the cooling tower and in direct contact with the air, the cooling tower is focused on reducing the temperature of the inlet water until it leaves it, while the water temperature reading uses a thermocouple sensor. A thermocouple is a temperature sensor capable of reading temperatures from -200 ℃ to 1200 ℃. This cooling tower uses arduino mega circuit, PCB board, MAX6675 module and thermocouple. How to read the temperature on the cooling tower using a computer or laptop with Microsoft Excel that is already connected to the PLX-DAQ software. The data that has been obtained is then tested using SPSS (Statiscal Product and Service Solutions) software, testing using 3 types, namely normal distribution, standard deviation, and reliability. The overall results of the thermocouple sensor on the Wet Cooling Tower show normal performance according to statistical testing, including normal distribution, standard deviation, and reliability. All data and values obtained have met the established standards

Abstract

The engineering of an Arduino Uno-based gas leak detection device with an MQ-2 sensor was created to optimize security against gas leaks that occur. The public must know the signs of a leak, such as smelling gas, a hissing sound in the gas line and so on. The aim of engineering this tool is to create an Arduino Uno-based gas leak detection tool that uses the MQ-2 sensor on the LPG regulator. Gas leaks can cause risks such as fire and explosion, so it is important to have a gas detection system. When the sensor detects the presence of gas, the system will trigger a buzzer to provide an audible alarm and turn on the LED light as a visual indicator. The LCD will display the detection status with clear text, namely "Leak Danger" when gas is detected, and "Safe" when there is no leak. The test was carried out using a 3 kg LPG gas cylinder, with the results showing that the MQ-2 sensor could detect gas within 3 seconds. The results of this test prove that the tool developed is able to provide a fast response to gas leaks, so it can be a solution to increase the safety of LPG use.

Abstract

Monitoring shrimp ponds involves observing and measuring key environmental factors that influence shrimp health and growth. This study was conducted at a shrimp pond on Jalan Paluh Merbau, Tj. Rejo, Kec. Percut Sei Tuan, Deli Serdang Regency, North Sumatra, Indonesia. Traditionally, air humidity and water temperature are monitored manually by taking water samples for laboratory analysis or using litmus paper. These conventional methods are time-consuming and prone to inaccuracies, potentially compromising shrimp health. To address these challenges, this research implemented an Internet of Things (IoT)-based monitoring system to automate the measurement of air humidity and water temperature. The system utilizes DHT11 and DS18b20 sensors, integrated with an ESP32 module, to continuously collect data and automatically transmit it to Google Sheets for real-time monitoring. This IoT approach enables shrimp farmers to easily track water quality parameters, enhancing the accuracy and efficiency of pond management. A two-day testing phase demonstrated stable environmental conditions, with humidity levels recorded at 86.5% to 87.78% and water temperatures ranging from 27.55°C to 28.06°C. These readings were within the ideal thresholds for optimal shrimp growth, showcasing the system's effectiveness in maintaining suitable pond conditions. This research will contribute significantly to more efficient, accurate, and sustainable shrimp farming practices.
