Abstract

Development in agriculture will be more optimal if it is combined with superior commodity management. One commodity that has the potential to become a leading commodity is the porang plant. The purpose of this study is to analyze internal and external factors in porang cultivation activities so that they can produce strategies to improve the welfare of porang farmers in the North Lombok Regency. Methods of data collection by observation and direct interviews. The analysis used is a SWOT analysis. The results of this study obtained strategies that can be used for the development of porang agribusiness in North Lombok Regency, namely: 1) Increasing business scale, 2) Increasing the quality of human resources, 3) Partnership patterns, 4) Use of quality packaging, 5) Timing of planting, 6) People's business credit, 7) Maximize the use of existing facilities and infrastructure. Overall efforts to improve farmers' welfare in porang agribusiness are to increase business scale with government support through small business loans for farmers and build partnerships with porang tuber processing industries.

Abstract

Kabupaten Pinrang merupakan salah satu daerah penghasil kopi di Provinsi Sulawesi Selatan. Jenis kopi robusta yang terkenal sejak tahun 2018 hingga kini yaitu kopi Basseang. Faktor yang mendasari penelitian ini: Minat petani menjadi wirausaha, belum menerapkan teknologi yang tepat, potensi usaha/lahan kopi sangat besar namun belum bisa dioptimalkan, terbentuknya kelompok tani, keberadaan koperasi belum dimanfaatkan, permodalan, pemasaran mengandalkan tengkulak, tidak ada mitra. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui keunggulan, menciptakan peluang bisnis secara berkesinambungan, mendeskripsikan potensi ekonomi produktif dan merumuskan prioritas strategi dalam pengembangan agribisnis kopi robusta di Kecamatan Lembang. Teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan purposive sampling dengan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif. Jumlah responden 39 orang dan dianalisis menggunakan analisis SWOT. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kopi robusta di Kecamatan Lembang sangat potensial namun perlu ditingkatkan kualitasnya dengan pendampingan rutin yang dilakukan oleh perangkat pemerintah tingkat kabupaten guna mengontrol kualitas kopi yang dihasilkan agar dapat terstandarisasi. Pentingnya standarisasi kualitas kopi yang dilakukan agar mudah dipasarkan. Selain itu pendampingan juga dilakukan untuk mengedukasi para petani agar memanfaatkan koperasi sebagai lembaga yang dapat membantu menjual hasil produksinya dengan harga yang lebih kompetitif. Dengan begitu konsep pengembangan ekonomi kerakyatan yang produktif, efisien dan berdaya saing dapat dicapai. Kebijakan dasar yang perlu diterapkan yaitu penguatan sub-sistem hulu, pemberdayaan sub-sistem budidaya dan memperkuat sub-sistem hilir sehingga mampu menciptakan value added berupa biji kopi dan menghasilkan produk akhir yang unggul berupa kopi bubuk kemasan. Selain itu jalinan kemitraan yang jelas dengan koperasi atau asosiasi secara kontinu akan menjaga stabilitas harga kopi, sehingga akan memengaruhi pendapatan dan kesejahteraan hidup para petani.

Abstract

This article analyzes the marketing strategies culinary Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) in Makassar City to maintain a competitive advantage. This study aims to understand effective marketing strategies in increasing the competitiveness of culinary SMEs in the local market. The research method used is qualitative with data collection techniques with data-based mass media, ebooks, journals, and online news portals. The analysis results show that effective marketing strategies include using social media, superior product quality, product differentiation, local promotion, and partnerships with local suppliers. In the face of intense competition, culinary SMEs need to consider these factors to remain the main choice of consumers. Abstract

This study aimed to identify the response of local and imported garlic varieties' growth to biological fertilizer. The research was conducted in the Majene Regency, West Sulawesi, which began from April to July 2020. The research was arranged in a two-factor factorial Completely Randomized Design with 3 replications. The first factor is the variety of garlic which consists of two varieties, namely Sangga Sembalun and Kating. The second factor is the fertilizer that consists of three types, namely Trichoderma sp., Streptomyces sp., and Trichoderma sp. plus Streptomyces sp. The observations were made at the age of 7, 15, 30, and 45 DAS (Days After Sowing) where the parameters measured were the height of the plant (cm), the number of leaves (blade), the diameter of the bulb (cm) for each treatment. The observation data will be analyzed using the analysis of variance. The analysis of variance for the observation data used the F-test at a 5% significance level. Statistically, the findings of the research show that the treatments given are not significantly affected all parameters observed. The highest mean score on the treatment of biological fertilizers was the Trichoderma sp. plus Streptomyces sp. bacteria on both varieties tested. The results showed that in general, the biological fertilizer Trichoderma sp. plus Streptomycetes sp., gave better results, but it cannot be concluded that the imported Kating variety gave a better response than the local Sangga variety to all parameters, because the morphological or genetic characteristics of Kating and Sangga Sembalun may be also different.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini guna mengidentifikasi dan menganalisis besar efektivitas dari pengolahan limbah cair minyak kelapa mandar pada pertumbuhan dan produksi tanaman caisim (Brassica juncea L.). Penelitian dilakukan di Green House Fakultas Pertanian dan Kehutanan Universitas Sulawesi Barat dari bulan Mei - September 2022. Pelaksanaan penelitian dalam bentuk Rancangan Acak Kelompok (RAK) Faktorial dengan 2 faktor sejumlah 3 kali ulangan.  Faktor pertama yakni penambahan pupuk organik cair limbah minyak kelapa mandar (P) sejumlah 4 taraf yaitu tanpa pupuk organik cair (p0), 60 ml/polybag (p1), 120 ml/polybag (p2), dan 180 ml/polybag (p3). Faktor kedua yakni pemberian media tanam (M) sejumlah 2 taraf yaitu tanpa pupuk kandang dengan arang sekam (m0) dan pupuk kandang dengan arang sekam (m1).  Analisa data penelitian dilakukan dengan sidik ragam dan untuk uji beda digunakan Uji Beda Nyata Terkecil pada taraf 5%. Hasil penelitian secara statistik didapatkan interaksi antara pemberian pupuk organik cair limbah minyak kelapa mandar dan media tanam kompos kandang dengan arang sekam memberikan pengaruh secara berbeda nyata terhadap bobot basah per tanaman (gram) dan bobot bersih konsumsi per tanaman (gram). sedangkan memberikan pengaruh tidak berbeda nyata pada parameter jumlah daun per tanaman (helai), tinggi tanaman (cm), dan lebar daun (cm) pada tanaman caisim.

Abstract

The sales volume in broiler chicken marketing carried out by traders in the market can be influenced by many factors. One of the factors that can influence sales volume is the selling price of chickens, therefore this research aims to analyze the influence of selling prices on sales of broiler chickens in the Majene central market. This research was carried out from June to July 2023 at the Majene Central Market, with 10 broiler chicken traders as respondents.  The data obtained was processed using simple linear regression analysis. The results of the research show that the selling price has a significant effect on the sales volume of broiler chickens in Majene's central market with an influence of 60.2% and 39.8% is influenced by other factors, with the explanation that if the selling price of broiler chickens rises by one thousand rupiah, then the sales volume will decrease as many as 6 individuals. The novelty in this research is that there has been no similar research carried out in the Majene central market, so the results of this research can be a reference for traders in determining prices to maximize profits obtained.

Abstract

The quality of crude palm oil, price, and quality of fresh fruit bunches are important factors in determining the competitive advantage of palm oil. In Central Mamuju, palm oil is processed into two main products: Crude Palm Oil (CPO) and Palm Kernel Oil (PKO), which are further refined into various derivative products like cosmetics, soap, cooking oil, and much of the CPO is directly exported, affirming its potential in the global market. This study aims to assess the impact and components of palm oil competitiveness using the diamond porter model. Results indicate that factors like resource condition availability (X1), related and supporting industries (X3), company strategy, structure, competition (X4), and government role (X5) positively influence competitiveness. However, demand conditions (X2) and opportunities (X6) negatively correlate. The competitive strengths of palm oil in this region include high-quality fresh fruit bunches and CPO, as well as competitive fresh fruit bunch prices. The presence of palm oil companies here also demonstrates high competition levels.

Abstract

AbstrakPengabdian ini dilaksanakan dengan mitra dalam hal ini Kelompok Tani Milenial yang terletak di Desa Lalampanua, Kecamatan Pamboang, Kabupaten Majene. Persoalan yang dihadapi mitra pada aspek teknologi antara lain hampir setiap rumah tangga petani memiliki ternak kambing, namun manajemen limbahnya masih menjadi masalah serius. Urine kambing sering kali dianggap sebagai limbah yang mengganggu dan dibuang tanpa pengolahan. Metode dan tahapan dalam penerapan teknologi ke masyarakat dimulai dengan melakukan survei ke sekitar lokasi kelompok tani.  Dari hasil survei tersebut kita menentukan prioritas kebutuhan masyarakat yang paling penting adalah dengan memberikan sentuhan inovasi.  Setelah memperoleh hasil survey di lapangan, diadakan sosialisasi rencana kegiatan. Langkah selanjutnya melaksanakan penyuluhan, merancang pelatihan, menyiapkan alat-alat dan bahan yang akan digunakan. Secara umum pelaksanaan kegiatan ini memberikan informasi kepada anggota kelompok tani-ternak bahwa limbah peternakan dapat dimanfaatkan untuk menjadi pupuk organik cair yang dapat digunakan untuk tanaman dan dapat mengurangi penggunaan pupuk kimia serta mengurangi pencemaran lingkungan sekitar peternakan sehingga menjadi peluang usaha untuk menambah pendapatan anggota kelompok ternak. Kata kunci: kambing; urine; POC AbstractThis community service project was carried out in collaboration with the Millennial Farmers Group located in Lalampanua Village, Pamboang Subdistrict, Majene Regency. The challenges faced by the group in terms of technology include the fact that almost every farming household owns goats, but waste management remains a serious issue. Goat urine is often regarded as a nuisance and disposed of without proper treatment. The methods and stages in applying technology to the community began with conducting a survey around the farmer group's location. Based on the survey results, we determined the most urgent needs of the community that required innovative solutions. After obtaining the survey results in the field, a socialization of the activity plan was conducted. The next step involves conducting outreach, designing training programs, and preparing the tools and materials to be used. In general, this activity provides information to members of the farming and livestock group that livestock waste can be utilized to produce liquid organic fertilizer for plants, thereby reducing the use of chemical fertilizers and minimizing environmental pollution around the farm. This also presents an opportunity for members of the livestock group to increase their income. Keywords: goat; urine; LOF
