Abstract

Modernization is an event that cannot be avoided by all countries in the world, especially Indonesia as a developing country. Modernization can occur in the world of education. Modernization is able to provide influence and impact on students if it is not monitored optimally by educators. The phenomenon of modernization can make elementary school students have an active, innovative and visionary mindset. But the phenomenon of modernization can also result in changes in the behavior of elementary school students, so it is feared that it will eliminate the noble character they have. This article discusses the impact and effects of modernization on the behavior of elementary school students. Furthermore, it will be discussed about the role of the teacher to minimize the negative impact of modernization which can endanger the character formation of elementary school students.

Abstract

This research was conducted to address the negative impact of globalization that can diminish a sense of patriotism and to improve the quality of Pancasila and Citizenship Education (PPKN) in SDN Pengadilan 2 Bogor by integrating local wisdom. The research aimed to understand how the introduction of local wisdom in PPKN teaching could shape the values of Pancasila in student profiles and help students grow into intelligent and character-driven generations. The research method employed was qualitative with descriptive analysis. Data were collected through interviews, questionnaires, literature review, and documentation. The results revealed six Pancasila student profile values in the implementation of local wisdom introduction at SDN Pengadilan 2 Bogor. Out of the 40 participating students, 3 students (8%) fell into the "below average" category, 13 students (33%) were rated as "satisfactory," and 24 students (60%) were deemed "good" in applying these values. The research demonstrates that Pancasila values have been continuously integrated into students' daily lives, forming strong characters and producing morally upright, critical-thinking, and socially adept generations. Challenges in implementing Pancasila student profiles involve both student and teacher factors. Alternative solutions include contingency planning, classroom preparation, pre-activity training, student motivation, and appropriate instructional media usage.

Abstract

Currently, leadership has been recognized as an urgent and important issue for companies to face in the generation Z era, which increasingly dominates the job market. Generation Z expects leaders who give them flexibility, responsibility, and space in the work process. However, the leadership approach that is often found emphasizes a micromanager style, which often lacks trust in employees' abilities to complete tasks independently and delegates responsibility only in small portions. This causes Generation Z's low level of engagement in the workplace. This research aims to analyse the influence of micromanagement leadership style on the performance of generation Z employees. The research sample consisted of 400 respondents from generation Z employees in Indonesia who were determined by non-probability sampling. Data was collected through questionnaires and analysed using linear regression analysis. The research results show that the higher the application of micromanagement leadership styles, such as excessive interference, tight supervision, excessive control, limiting authority, and giving excessive attention, the greater the impact on decreasing the performance of generation Z employees. Characteristics of generation Z tend to like freedom, creativity, and independence, making them feel constrained and less motivated when working under an overly controlling leadership style. These findings provide implications for the importance of considering generational differences in leadership practices.

Abstract

Da'wah, the activity of inviting and urging people towards good (ma'ruf) andaway from evil (munkar), is a significant aspect of Islam. Today, da'wah is not only delivered from the pulpit but also through social media, such as Instagram. This study aims to explain the content of da'wah messages in motion graphic videos found on the Instagram account @muhammadnuzuldzikri during the period from June 2023 to November 2023. The theories used in this research are Samsul Munir Amin's theory of da'wah messages and the content analysis theoriesof Neuendorf and Krippendorff. This research employs a descriptive qualitative approach using content analysis methods. Based on the results of the study, therewere 19 motion graphic videos during the period from June 2023 to November 2023. These videos contained three categories of da'wah messages: aqidah(faith), sharia (Islamic law), and akhlaq (morality). Within these three categories, several types of messages were identified. In the aqidah category, there were four messages about faith in Allah SWT, faith in the Prophet Muhammad (peace beupon him), faith in the holy books of Allah SWT, and faith in Qadha and Qadar. In the sharia category, there were eight messages about dhikr (remembrance) of Allah SWT, remembering Allah in the month of Al-Muharram, practicing the Sunnah of the Prophet in the month of Al-Muharram, practicing the fast of Ashura, practicing Sunnah fasting, practicing fasting on the 9th of Al-Muharram, the deeds of those who will sacrifice, and the deeds on the day of Arafah. In the akhlaq category, there were seven messages about morality towards Allah SWT, morality towards oneself, and morality towards fellow humans. Abstract

Purpose: This study aims to determine the effect of PEG-7 glyceryl cocoate at concentrations of F1 0.2%, F2 0.4%, and F3 0.6% on the physical stability and cleaning power of micellar water preparations containing mangosteen peel extract. The best formulation was then tested for its antioxidant activity using the DPPH method. Research Method: This study used a laboratory experimental method. The variations in PEG-7 glyceryl cocoate concentration used in the micellar water extract of mangosteen peel were F1 (0.2%), F2 (0.4%), F3 (0.6%), and negative control F0 (0%). Evaluations were conducted on physical stability tests (organoleptic, pH, homogeneity, and viscosity) and cleaning power. The best micellar water formulation was then tested for antioxidant activity using the DPPH method. The test results were analyzed using a One-Way ANOVA test. Results and Discussion: The results of testing F3 micellar water, with the highest concentration of PEG-7 glyceryl cocoate, demonstrated that it was the best formula and exhibited the best cleaning ability. The results of the analysis using one-way ANOVA showed a p-value of < 0.05. The antioxidant activity of F3 was determined to have an IC50 of 103.81 μg/ml, which falls within the moderate category. Implications: The results of this study indicate that PEG-7 glyceryl cocoate at a concentration of 0.6% can be used as a surfactant in micellar water preparations of mangosteen peel extract. Further research is needed to determine the long-term stability of the preparation.
