Abstract

Abstract Introduction: Hypertension is still one of the public health problems in Cimandala. Unhealthy lifestyles are the dominant factor in the triggering of hypertension. Objective: The implementation of the activity was carried out on January 24, 2024, January 29, 2024, and February 6, 2024 which was attended by 26 people. Method: The method used in community service has three stages, namely the first stage is to find priority nursing diagnosis problems in the community and decide on solutions to the problems. The second stage is with intervention and the final stage is with evaluation of the interventions carried out. The implementation of activities in the form of focus group discussions to determine priorities and solutions for village activity programs in collaboration with the health center. Hypertension counseling is carried out with the agreement of all residents. Result: Evaluation of the activity program by distributing pre- and post-test questionnaires, where there was an increase in the score of understanding of hypertension in residents by 25.4. This shows a good number. Conclusion: From the results of these activities, there has been a significant increase, as can be seen from the results of the post-test carried out that residents understand and know more about hypertension, from its definition to its prevention. Healthy lifestyle needs to be encouraged and promoted through various ways, so that people can avoid hypertension Keywords: Nursing Diagnosis, Nursing Intervention and Implementation, Non-Communicable Diseases (Hypertension).

Abstract

This research evaluates the effectiveness of a family empowerment program in improving medication adherence among children undergoing treatment for pulmonary tuberculosis (TB) in Desa Pangkalan Benteng, Indonesia. The study integrates qualitative and quantitative methods to assess the impact of a training program to increase family knowledge about TB and its treatment regimen. The results demonstrate a significant improvement in family knowledge and children's adherence to their treatment schedule after receiving education on medication management, side effect handling, and emotional support. The findings emphasize the critical role of family involvement in ensuring that children complete their treatment regimens and suggest that comprehensive family education programs can enhance treatment outcomes. The study highlights the potential of family-centered interventions in pediatric TB care and provides recommendations for expanding such programs to other chronic diseases.

Abstract

Nursing is a demanding and stressful profession that can lead to burnout, which has a negative impact on the well-being of nurses and the quality of patient care. Jakarta Islamic Hospital is known as a hospital with a high patient burden, which can lead to the prevalence of burnout among nurses. This study aims to identify the prevalence of burnout syndrome among nurses working in three Islamic Hospitals in Jakarta. The study is a cross-sectional study using the Maslach Burnout Inventory to measure three dimensions of burnout: emotional exhaustion, depersonalization, and personal accomplishment. This study involved 222 nurses from the Aliansi Hospital of Jakarta Islamic Hospital. Data was taken from January to February 2023. The results in this study showed that the average score for emotional exhaustion was 13.55, depersonalization was 8.46, and personal achievement was 33.40. These findings indicate that nurses at the Jakarta Islamic Hospital experience high levels of burnout, especially emotional exhaustion and depersonalization. This study highlights the need for hospital management to implement interventions to prevent and manage burnout among nurses, which can lead to improved patient care and a better quality of life for healthcare workers.
