Abstract

Hemodialysis (HD) is a kidney replacement therapy by filtrating blood outside the body using a dialysis machine. Intradialysis complications such as hypotension and intradialysis hypertension are one of the abnormal conditions that occur during the hemodialysis process. The purpose of this study in RSUD Praya was to evaluate the relationship between IMT, hemoglobin level, and duration of hemodialysis with changes in blood pressure during the hemodialysis process. This study used a cross-sectional approach and was observational quantitative analytic in nature. Sampling was done using the total sampling method. The sample size of this study was 45 samples. Data were tested using spearmen rank. The findings of 45 respondents, most of them have stable blood pressure 24 people (53.3%), while 10 people (22.2%) have decreased blood pressure, and 11 people (24.4%) have increased blood pressure. There was a significant correlation between body mass index and blood pressure changes (p=0.028). Hemoglobin levels were not associated with blood pressure changes (p=0.574). There was a strong relationship between hemodialysis duration and blood pressure changes (p=0.009). There is a relationship between BMI, duration of hemodialysis and blood pressure changes during hemodialysis process and there is no relationship between hemoglobin levels and blood pressure changes during hemodialysis process. The conclusion is that body mass index and duration of hemodialysis affect blood pressure changes in hemodialysis patients at Praya Regional Hospital, while hemoglobin levels have no influence on blood pressure changes in hemodialysis patients at Praya Regional Hospital.

Abstract

Abstract

This study aims to stimulate the effectiveness of antibacterial solutions and methanol extracts of lo'i keta, a traditional medicine from Bima-Dompu, West Nusa Tenggara, against the growth of both bacteria. Lo'i keta solutions and methanol extracts were tested at concentrations of 25%, 50%, 75%, and 100% using the agar well diffusion method. The inhibition zones formed were measured to assess antibacterial activity. Ciprofloxacin was used as a positive control, and distilled water as a negative control. The results showed that lo'i keta solutions and methanol extracts had inhibitory power against Staphylococcus aureus and Streptococcus pyogenes. Its effectiveness increased with increasing concentrations of the solution and extract. The best activity was shown at a concentration of 100%, approaching the positive control. This study shows that lo'i keta has the potential as a natural alternative to fight gram-positive bacteria, because resistance to antibiotics is increasing and lo'i keta can be used as a traditional herbal medicine, but there has not been much scientific exploration.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the relationship between education level, gestational age and parity with the incidence of anemia in pregnant women at Gunung Sari Health Center, West Lombok in 2023. This study is an analytic observational using case-control design. The sampling technique was purposive sampling. The study sample was 256 samples with each case and control sample according to the inclusion and exclusion criteria. The data obtained were analyzed with the chi-square correlation test. The results of this study Showed (1) Low education level respondents as many as 50 respondents (19.5%) and high education level as many as 206 (80.5%). (2) Respondents with risky gestational age were 147 respondents (57.4%) and non-risky parity were 109 respondents (42.6%). (3) Respondents with risky parity were 99 (38.7%) and non-risky parity were 157 (61.3%). (4) There is a relationship between low education level and the incidence of anemia in pregnant women with a p-value of 0.040 and OR 2.037. (5) There is a relationship between risky gestational age and the incidence of anemia in pregnant women with a p-value of 0.000 and OR 9, 348. (6) There is no association of parity risk with the incidence of anemia in pregnant women with a p-value of 1,000. (7) There is a significant relationship between education level and gestational age with the incidence of anemia in pregnant women. (8) There is no significant relationship between parity and the incidence of anemia in pregnant women at Puskesmas Gunungsari West Lombok in 2023.
