Abstract

The aim to be achieved in this research is to determine the results of students' geography social studies learning on Spatial Interaction in the Life of ASEAN Countries which is taught using animation media in a direct learning model. The research method used is quantitative and a type of Classroom Action Research (PTK). In this research, the research subjects were 27 students in class VII of SMP Negeri 70 South Halmahera, consisting of 14 male students and 13 female students. The results showed that the average pre-cycle learning outcome was 71.04 with classical completeness of 38.09%, in the first cycle the average was 72.33 with classical completeness of 60% and in the second cycle the average was 74 with classical completeness of 85.71. %. From these results it can be concluded that the implementation of this learning model was successful and provided an improvement in the learning outcomes of class VIII students at SMP Negeri 70 South Halamahera.

Abstract

Berpikir spasial dibutuhkan oleh siswa dalam memahami pembelajaran geografi di SMA. Pemetaan kemampuan berpikir spasial oleh guru diawal pembelajaran dapat memudahkan guru dalam menyusun modul ajar sesuai dengan kurikulum merdeka. Pada artikel ini, tujuan penelitian ini melakukan identifikasi kemampuan berpikir spasial siswa pada materi atmosfer di SMA. Populasi penelitian berjumlah 324 siswa. Pengambilan data dilakukan dengan metode survei terhadap siswa kelas X (Fase E) SMAN 15 Padang. Instrumen berpikir spasial terdiri dari indikator komprehensif, representasi, skala, interaksi spasial, aplikasi dan analisis. Instrumen penelitian telah divalidasi dengan nilai cronbach alfa < 0.709. Responden dalam penelitian ini sebanyak 66 siswa fase E. Hasil penelitian membuktikan rata-rata kemampuan berpikir spasial pada materi atmosfer siswa SMAN 15 Padang berada pada tingkatan sedang dengan nilai sebesar 50,3%. Penilaian secara detail setiap indikator berpikir spasial dijelaskan dalam artikel ini. Pemetaan lebih awal kemampuan berpikir spasial siswa SMA dibutuhkan dalam memudahkan proses pembelajaran geografi sesuai dengan kemampuan siswa masing-masing.

Abstract

Developing spatial thinking in students remains a challenge for many geography teachers in Indonesia. This study examined the process of developing spatial thinking skills in learning styles. Therefore, a relevant learning model is required for developing spatial thinking skills. This research aimed to determine: 1) the effect of earthcomm learning on spatial thinking skills, 2) the effect of learning styles on spatial thinking skills, and 3) the relationship of earthcomm learning and learning styles on spatial thinking skills. The study used a quasi-experimental design with a non-equivalent control pretest-posttest. The data were obtained using a questionnaire to test learning style and spatial thinking ability that had been validated and assessed for normality and reliability. The research population were first-grade students (grade X) in SMAN 15 Padang, West Sumatra. The research sample consists of students from Social Class 2 (X IPS 2) as the control group and students from Social Class 3 (X IPS 3) as the experimental group. The research data were analyzed using the ANOVA technique from the SPSS 25 for Windows. The findings indicated that: 1) earthcomm learning has an effect on spatial thinking skills, 2) learning style has no significant effect on spatial thinking skills, and 3) there is no interaction between earthcomm learning and learning style on spatial thinking skills. This study provided a comprehensive discussion of the research findings.

Abstract

Meningkatkan kreativitas siswa masih menjadi salah satu tujuan dari kurikulum merdeka. Pentingnya kreativitas ini mengharuskan setiap siswa harus memilikinya sebagai persiapan untuk menghadapi persaingan abad 21. Oleh karena itu, pembelajaran disekolah menjadi sarana untuk mengembangkan kemampuan kreativitas ini. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui Pengaruh model PjBL terhadap tingkat kreativitas siswa SMA pada kelas geografi. Penelitian eksperimen semu ini menggunakan disain post-test only kontrol grup yang diterapkan pada siswa SMAN 15 Padang di kelas X Fase E.2 sebagai kelas eksperimen  dan kelas X Fase E.4 sebagai kelas kontrol. Data kreativitas siswa diperoleh berdasarkan hasil penilaian produk. Indikator kreativitas yang dinilai yaitu kerapian produk, keunikan produk dan Elaborasi. Perolehan data sebelumnya diuji untuk mengetahui normalitas dan homogenitas data. Uji beda Mann-Whitney digunakan untuk analisis lanjut dalam menjawab hipotesis yang diajukan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan model PjBL dapat meningkatkan kreativitas siswa siswa SMAN 15 Padang pada kelas geografi. Namun, terdapat hal menarik pada tiga indikator kreativitas siswa ini. Penjelasan lebih rinci terkait hal tersebut dapat ditemukan pada laporan penelitan ini.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian yang akan dicapai dalam penelitian ini adalah penerapan model pembelajaran glasser Untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa kelas xi ips Pada materi pelestarian lingkungan hidup Sma negeri 6 kota ternate. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK) dengan menggunakan metode penelitian kuantitatif. Subjek penelitian diambil pada siswa dengan jumlah siswa sebanyak 18 orang yang terdiri dari 13 Siswa laki-laki dan siswa perempuan 5 siswa. Penerapan Model pembelajaran Glasser dapat mengkatkan Hasil belajar Kelas XI IPS di SMA Negeri 6 kota ternate pada materi pelestarian lingkungan hidup.: Hal ini dapat dilihat dalam pelaksanaan Siklus I dan Siklus II. Pada siklus I prsentase siswa yang telah mencapai ketuntasan adalah 44% dengan nilai rata –rata 73,33 dan meningkat pada siklus II dengan kektuntasan adalah 60% dengan nilai rata-rata 81,66.

Abstract

The research objective that will be achieved in this research is the application of the snowball thowing learning model to improve student learning outcomes in hydrosphere material in class 10 of SMA Negeri 14 Tidore Islands. This type of research is classroom action research (PTK) using quantitative research methods. The subjects in this research were class XI students at SMA Negeri 14 Tidore Islands with a total of 28 students. The application of the snowball thowing learning model can improve the learning outcomes of class There has been an increase in student learning outcomes which are categorized as "good 65.89%. Meanwhile, in the second cycle test, the activation of student learning outcomes increased, which was categorized as "very good" 68.89%. This shows that the minimum completeness criteria (KKM) have been met, namely 65%. Thus, the application of the snowball throwing method can improve student learning outcomes in Geography Education learning in class XI of SMA Negeri 14 Tidore Islands.

Abstract

Quality textbooks are essential for developing critical thinking skills in geography education, especially for disaster mitigation in Indonesia's disaster-prone environment. To analyze the content quality of geography textbooks on natural disaster mitigation using the Beck and McKeown model and identify specific weaknesses. Qualitative content analysis with coding techniques was conducted on three geography textbooks for grade 11 students published by Erlangga, Grafindo Media Pratama, and Mediatama. A total of 226 paragraphs were analyzed using six adapted Beck and McKeown categories: problematic discussion, concept density, discourse clarity, main idea focus, example adequacy, and explanation structure. Analysis revealed quality issues across categories: 15.92% of paragraphs failed to present discussable problems, 6.19% contained excessive concepts, 4.86% lacked clear discourse, 3.53% presented multiple main ideas, 0.44% provided inadequate examples, and 1.33% showed illogical arrangements. Overall classification ranged from "good" to "very good" despite significant limitations. While textbooks met basic quality standards, substantial improvements are needed in problem-based content, concept organization, discourse clarity, and logical structuring to enhance critical thinking development for disaster education. This is the first application of the Beck and McKeown model to Indonesian geography textbooks focusing on disaster mitigation, providing a specialized assessment framework for disaster education materials. Findings offer actionable guidance for textbook authors, publishers, teachers, and policymakers to improve geography education quality and disaster preparedness literacy.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to determine the use of serial image learning media to improve the understanding of disaster mitigation in geography learning on natural disaster material for eighth grade students of SMP Peduli Bangsa Wooi, South Halmahera Regency. This study uses an action research type, which focuses on classroom activities so that the research is in the form of Classroom Action Research (CAR). This research was conducted at SMP Peduli Bangsa Wooi, South Halmahera Regency. The subjects of this study were 20 eighth grade students of SMP Peduli Bangsa Wooi. The techniques used in collecting the data include. Observation, Test, and Documentation. The use of Serial Image Media can improve the learning outcomes of eighth grade students in the Social Studies subject of natural disasters. This can be seen from the learning outcomes of students from cycle I and cycle II which have increased. Student learning completeness in cycle I was 61.35% and in cycle II was 86.45% with an increase of 21.1%.
