Abstract

Since the Covid-19 Pandemic that hit many countries including Indonesia, the government has implemented a Work From Home policy that has an impact on all fields, including education. With this government policy, the world of education takes online learning. The change in the learning system from face-to-face to distance learning has changed student learning methods. The online learning method has not been tested for its effectiveness. This research uses a quantitative descriptive method where primary data is obtained from questionnaires given to student respondents from the Antasari State Islamic University, the Open University and the Indonesian Academy of Secretary and Management Citra Nusantara, all of whom are domiciled in Banjarmasin. Data collection techniques using online survey methods with questionnaires given using Google Form. This study aims to determine student perceptions of the effectiveness of online lectures during the Covid-19 pandemic. The results showed that students did not feel the effectiveness of online lectures with the various obstacles they faced in online lectures. The toughest obstacles in conducting online lectures include the lack of supporting facilities such as a stable internet network and the absence of laptop facilities which are very important in online lectures.

Abstract

This study aims to test and analyze empirically the influence of Islamic leadership, emotional intelligence, and spiritual intelligence on morale, and the influence of Islamic leadership, emotional intelligence, spiritual intelligence, and passion of work on employee performance, as well as the effect of Islamic leadership, emotional intelligence, Spiritual intelligence on employee performance. Employee performance through and employee morale. The research was carried out in all work units at the 140 Islamic Private lecturers in the scope of LLDIKTI-IX. Data from the questionnaire were analyzed using the Structural Equation Model by AMOS. The study results found that Islamic leadership positively and significantly affected morale, emotional intelligence, and spiritual intelligence, increasing employee morale. Employee performance improves with high Islamic leadership and increased confidence. Emotional intelligence and spiritual intelligence have a positive but not significant effect on employee performance. The position of morale in the research model is not to be a mediating variable (intervening) in explaining the influence of Islamic leadership on employee performance. The role of morale in the research model is a perfect mediation variable (complete mediation) in explaining the effect of emotional intelligence and spiritual intelligence on employee performance. To improve employee performance, emotional intelligence cannot do it directly.

Abstract

This research aims to determine and test students' interest in entrepreneurship after learning about Introduction to Business, Entrepreneurship and Business Feasibility Studies at college. Data were collected using a questionnaire using Google Form which was distributed via the WhatsUp Group belonging to the research lecturer and used a descriptive quantitative approach with multiple linear regression methods, T Test and F Test (SPSS). The population was taken from a number of WhatUp Groups owned by research lecturers from students from various universities. The sample obtained was 122 students from universities in Banjarmasin and Timika Papua. The research results show that learning Introduction to Business and Business Feasibility Studies partially has a significant and positive effect on students' interest in becoming independent entrepreneurs, while the Entrepreneurship variable has no significant effect. Simultaneous test results show that the variables Introduction to Business, Entrepreneurship and Business Feasibility Study have a significant and positive effect on students' interest in becoming independent entrepreneurs. The results of this research can be used as a reference for further research and government policy making in the fields of education and entrepreneurship.

Abstract

This study examines the role of leadership in effective and efficient human resource management (HRM) decision-making. It analyzes leadership styles, including transformational, adaptive, ethical, and AI-driven leadership models; it explores how leadership strategies influence key HRM functions such as recruitment, talent retention, workforce planning, and performance management. Furthermore, the research addresses the integration of data-driven decision-making and AI technologies in optimizing HRM strategies while maintaining ethical and human-centered leadership principles. This study adopts a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) approach, synthesizing recent scholarly works from reputable sources to evaluate the effectiveness of leadership in HRM decision-making. A qualitative analysis of peer-reviewed journals, books, and empirical studies was conducted to identify patterns, challenges, and best practices in leadership-driven HRM. The study also examines the interplay between technological advancements and ethical governance in shaping leadership effectiveness within HRM frameworks. The findings reveal that leadership is crucial in shaping HRM policies, ensuring efficiency, strategic workforce planning, and organizational agility. AI-powered HR analytics and automation enhance efficiency but require ethical oversight to maintain fairness and transparency. The study also highlights challenges in leadership adaptation, including resistance to digital transformation, concerns over AI ethics, and the balance between efficiency and employee well-being. This research provides valuable insights for HR leaders, policymakers, and organizational managers, emphasizing the need for leadership development programs that integrate AI literacy, ethical governance, and strategic HR analytics. Future research should empirically validate leadership effectiveness and its contextual applications across different industries and workforce structures.

Abstract

This study examines how human resource management (HRM) practices enable the successful implementation of Indonesia’s Merdeka Curriculum to support deep learning in elementary schools. Using a qualitative multiple-case study design, data were collected from four elementary schools in Palu City, Indonesia. The data sources included interviews with school leaders and teachers, classroom observations, and relevant district-level policy documents. Data were analyzed through thematic analysis to identify patterns in HRM practices related to curriculum implementation. The findings reveal four interdependent themes: strategic HRM alignment, professional development transformation, leadership and school culture, and systemic support and constraints. These themes form an integrated HRM–Deep Learning Synergy model, illustrating a continuous relationship in which supportive policy environments sustain teacher recruitment, capacity building, and collaborative leadership. The study also finds that weaknesses in one component—such as limited professional development or rigid administrative structures—can disrupt the overall cycle and reduce curriculum effectiveness. This research contributes to the literature on educational leadership, HRM, and deep learning by offering practical implications for policymakers and school leaders seeking to transform schools into learning organizations that foster higher-order thinking and meaningful learning.
