Abstract

Upaya preventif kesehatan gigi dan mulut yang dilakukan secara mekanis yaitu menyikat gigi pada waktu yang tepat dengan cara yang benar. Tindakan pembersihan dengan menyikat gigi seringkali tidak mampu menjangkau seluruh permukaan gigi, sehingga diperlukan upaya lain seperti memanfaatkan bahan antibakteri. Salah satu upaya yang dapat dilakukan adalah kumur-kumur menggunakan obat kumur yang mengandung antiseptik atau dapat juga menggunakan dari bahan herbal dengan ekstrak tumbuh-tumbuhan yang mengandung antibakteri. Alternatif bahan herbal yang dapat digunakan untuk menjadi obat kumur adalah daun seledri. Kandungan dalam seledri yang bisa bermanfaat sebagai antibakteri diantaranya yaitu minyak atsiri, flavonoid, saponin dan tannin. Tujuan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini adalah memberikan pelatihan kepada mahasiswa, alumni dan ibu-ibu PKK dengan pembuatan obat kumur herbal. Metode pengabdian ini meliputi presentasi, diskusi, dan praktik.   Indikator   keberhasilan   dari   pengabdian   ini   adalah   pengukuran   tingkat   pengetahuan   dan keterampilan peserta sebelum dan sesudah pelatihan, dengan jumlah sampel 27 orang yang terdiri dari 10 ibu-ibu PKK, 11 mahasiswa dan 6 alumni Jurusan Kesehatan Gigi. Hasil pengabdian kepada masyarakat didapatkan pengetahuan peserta mengenai cari menjaga kesehatan gigi dan mulut sebelum dilakukan pelatihan terdapat 81,5% memiliki pengetahuan baik, dan 18,5% memiliki pengetahuan cukup. Setelah dilakukan pelatihan, seluruh peserta (100%) memiliki pengetahuan yang baik mengenai cara menjaga kesehatan gigi dan mulut. Hal tersebut terjadi karena pemberian pelatihan melalui metode ceramah, diskusi dan praktek langsung dapat meningkatkan pengetahuan

Abstract

Dental and oral health problems based on RISKESDAS 2018 data were recorded at 57.6%. In Wonogiri, the most common dental and oral health problem is regarding the lack of knowledge of brushing teeth. Efforts to improve knowledge of brushing teeth through education activities with the Domikado game method. This study aims to determine the Domikado Game Method as a education’s media to increase Toothbrushing Knowledge Improvement in 02 Tanggulangin Elementary School Students.This type of research uses quantitative descriptive with a pre-experimental research method and the research design used is one group pre-test post-test design. The sample in this study was taken using a saturated sample technique totaling 54 styudents. Knowledge measurement was carried out using pre-test and post-test questionnaires. Data analysis used quantitative descriptive analysis.The results of the study showed an increase in knowledge of brushing teeth which was originally in the moderate category of 41 (76%) students to a good category of 43 (80%) students. The conclusion of this study is that eduaction using the domikado game tends to be effective in increasing knowledge about brushing teeth because the domikado game is very interesting for elementary school students, most of whom are very enthusiastic about the game, trains students' concentration and the game is very exciting to play.

Abstract

Developing an entrepreneurial mindset from an early age is essential due to the high levels of creativity, innovation, and energy typically possessed by young individuals. However, entrepreneurial skills and motivation among dental health students and graduate alumni at Poltekkes Kemenkes Semarang remain limited due to inadequate mentorship and training. This community service program aimed to enhance entrepreneurial motivation and to strengthen knowledge and practical skills in developing dental health education media through the Denta Go model. The program was conducted on 13 August 2025 at the Graduate Building of Poltekkes Kemenkes Semarang and involved 20 participants, consisting of 10 dental health students and 10 graduate alumni. The intervention included entrepreneurship education, training on the development of Denta Go educational media, and hands-on simulation of the game. The results demonstrated increased participant motivation toward entrepreneurship, along with improved knowledge and skills in producing and implementing Denta Go media. The Denta Go model was perceived as easy to produce, attractive, and commercially viable, while also serving as an effective educational tool applicable in community settings. This program indicates that integrating entrepreneurship training with innovative dental health education media can support both skill development and entrepreneurial engagement among health students and graduates.
