Abstract

Bahasa Inggris adalah bahasa internasional dimana sudah tidak lagi terdengar asing di telinga kita. Bahasa Inggris sudah mulai diterapkan sedini mungkin sejak kita mulai mengenal dunia pendidikan formal. Saat ini pembelajaran Bahasa Inggris sudah mulai diperkenalkan di bangku sekolah Taman Kanak-Kanak (Kindergarten). Anak-anak umur 4-5 tahun sudah mulai mengerti apa itu Bahasa Inggris walaupun hanya beberapa kata. Mereka mulai tertarik untuk mengenal bahasa asing dalam hal ini adalah Bahasa Inggris. Mereka mulai diperkenalkan dengan mengucapkan angka-angka, huruf, warna, menyapa seseorang, dan mengucapkan salam dalam Bahasa Inggris. Para guru juga mempunyai peran yang penting dalam proses pembelajaran ini, dimana di usia sedini ini anak-anak biasanya masih ingin bermain dibandingkan dengan belajar. Tetapi dengan adanya pemilihan metode yang tepat maka proses pengenalan pembelajaran Bahasa Inggris akan tercapai secara maksimal.Pemberian materi yang dilakukan secara terus menerus dan berulang-ulang akan membantu anak-anak untuk lebih mudah dalam mengingat kata-kata Bahasa Inggris yang bagi mereka masih jarang terdengar. Kata kunci : kata, second language acquisition, method of language learning, direct method.

Abstract

This study examines the social impacts of unwanted births by migrant workers at Moch. Kholily’s house in Jember, East Java. Plenty of unwanted birth rights violations cases by migrant workers raise a number of children’s basic rights issues, including the bad stigma of the children from the community, such as negative labels towards them as “anak oleh-oleh TKI”, “anak unta” and other abusive calls. The issue of negative social impacts even comes from their own extended family in the form of rejection of their presence to be a family member. Certainly, it violates the children’s rights, which is clearly opposing the Law of Indonesia Number 18 of 2017 on Protection of Indonesian Migrant Workers and their families. For this reason, this study is pivotal to be carried out through the sociological and phenomenological approach to explore any negative social impacts experienced by unwanted births children among the migrant workers at Moch. Kholily’s house Jember, East Java. The result of this study demonstrates that there are three categories of unwanted births. First is the unplanned births among migrant worker candidates prior to their placement in the destination country. Second is the unwanted births due to pregnancy through non-marital sexual intercourse among migrant workers. The third is the unwanted births due to sexual violence. While the social impacts on victims have been identified as follows: (1) issues of civil rights and freedom; (2) issues of familial rights and alternative care; (3) problems of child healthcare and basic welfare; (4) problems of education and family time for children.

Abstract

Kasepuhan Ciptagelar is an indigenous community living in the Halimun Salak mountain, Sukabumi, West Java. The Ciptagelar community cannot be separated from ancestral customs that have become a part of daily life. Planting rice is part of ancestral customs that must be done by the Ciptagelar community. The process of planting rice involves many rituals involving women and men. In routine activities and rituals throughout the rice garden season, the roles of women and men are mutually supportive. This is a form of lonely relations that exist within the Ciptagelar indigenous community. How was the concept of the alienation of the Cariptagelar community formed? The purpose of this study is to explore aspects that become the occurrence of the concept of loneliness in the Ciptagelar community. The method used in the research is descriptive-qualitative with a participatory paradigm. The results of this study found new knowledge about aspects of the concept of loneliness in the Ciptagelar community.

Abstract

The purpose of the research is to describe the worldview, social/cultural background, author's view of female characters, and find out the educational value contained in the novel "Matahari di Atas Gili" by Lintang Sugianto. The research method used is descriptive qualitative with data collection techniques using notes. The results of the study are the author's worldview that life needs independence, seriousness in various aspects, social/cultural background is told in various aspects, be it education, religion, language customs, and work, the author's view of female characters describes how important it is to be a woman who is obedient and obedient to her husband, and the educational value contained in the novel is mostly instilling moral values that are required to respect and appreciate each other.ABSTRAKTujuan dari penelitian adalah mendeskripsikan pandangan dunia, latar belakang sosial/budaya, pandangan pengarang terhadap tokoh Wanita, dan mengetahui nilai Pendidikan yang terkandung dalam novel “Matahari di Atas Gili” karya Lintang Sugianto. Metode Penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kualitatif dengan Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan catatan. Adapun hasil dari Penelitian adalah pandangan dunia pengarang itu hidup butuh kemandirian, kesungguhan dalam berbagai aspek, latar belakang sosial/budaya dikisahkan dalam berbagai aspek, baik itu pendidikan, agama, bahasa adat kebiasaan, maupun pekerjaan, pandangan pengarang terhadap tokoh Wanita mendeskripsikan betapa pentingnya menjadi wanita yang patuh dan taat terhadap suami, dan nilai pendidikan yang terkandung dalam novel tersebut yaitu sebagian besar menanamkan nilai moral yang dituntut untuk menghormati dan menghargai antar sesama.

Abstract

Along with the times of technology in the field of education, there are many updates in the use of learning media, one example is by using the Quizizz application. The Quizizz application really helps teachers in the teaching and learning process. The Quizizz application has many interesting features, and makes learning more fun. This quizizz application is one of the learning media chosen by teachers to carry out the learning process in early childhood. The purpose of this study was to determine how much impact quizizz learning media has on increasing early childhood learning interest and motivation. This study uses a skinative method in which the data is obtained through the introduction of the quizizz application to early childhood and direct interviews with several parties such as teachers and parents of children. The results showed that the use of the Quizizz application in early childhood was carried out well starting from the planning, implementation, and evaluation stages. From this research it can be concluded that this quizizz application is very helpful in the learning process of children so that children more quickly understand the lessons conveyed by the teacher and with interesting features can also make children's learning motivation increase. The limitation of this research is that researchers only conduct research on early childhood quizizz applications even though there are still many applications that can be used to provide learning motivation in early childhood. Researchers hope that future researchers can conduct research related to early childhood learning motivation but using other learning media. This study recommends that future researchers make research as a reference in conducting research on the impact of quizizz applications in increasing early childhood learning motivation.

Abstract

Penelitian ini memiliki 3 (tiga) latar belakang masalah, yaitu fakta keberagaman suku, ras, dan agama yang dimiliki oleh Indonesia berbanding lurus dengan tingginya potensi konflik horizontal di Indonesia, pendidikan Islam ikut bertanggung jawab atas tingginya potensi konflik dan peristiwa konflik yang telah terjadi di Indonesia melalui jalur pendidikan moderasi beragama, dan pendidikan moderasi beragama yang telah dilaksanakan di pondok pesantren menjadi model ideal yang layak untuk dikaji.  Penelitian literer ini menggunakan teknik analisis konteks, sehingga mampu menginterpretasikan data literer dengan situasi kontekstual yang dibutuhkan. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa konsep pendidikan moderasi beragama di pondok pesantren dibangun atas 2 (dua) landasan, yaitu landasan teologis dan landasan sosiologis yang keduanya akan mampu melahirkan dialog antara syariat Islam dengan budaya masyarakat, sehingga mampu mewujudkan sikap moderat. Secara umum, praktik baik moderasi beragama di pondok pesantren tercermin dalam 3 (tiga) hal, yaitu menjaga hubungan baik dengan warga masyarakat sekitar pondok pesantren, menjunjung tinggi nilai toleransi terhadap sesama warga sekitar pondok pesantren, dan membangun hubungan yang harmonis dengan masyarakat sekitar pondok pesantren. Nilai-nilai pendidikan moderasi beragama yang diselenggarakan di pondok pesantren tentunya secara esensial bertujuan untuk mewujudkan karakteristik Islam Rahmatan Lil ‘Alamin melalui jalur pendidikan pesantren. Karakteristik Islam Rahmatan Lil ‘Alamin sebagai wujud dari nilai-nilai pendidikan moderasi beragama yang ditanamkan di pondok pesantren meliputi tawasuth (moderat), infitah (inklusif), tawazun (seimbang), serta musawah (kesetaraan). Keempat nilai tersebut menjadi nilai utama pendidikan moderasi beragam di pondok pesantren.

Abstract

Islamic economic law is deeply rooted in the primary sources of Islamic jurisprudence: the Qur'an and Hadith. While the Qur'an provides the foundational principles, the Hadith offers detailed guidance on economic transactions and ethics. Economic Hadiths, particularly from Sahih Bukhari and Sahih Muslim, are essential for shaping legal rulings in Islamic finance and commerce. However, the influence of these Hadiths on Islamic economic law is underexplored. This study analyzes the role of economic Hadiths in Sahih Bukhari and Sahih Muslim in shaping Islamic economic law. Using a qualitative content analysis approach, the study categorizes key economic Hadiths into themes such as trade ethics, prohibition of interest (riba), partnerships, and fairness in transactions. A comparative analysis assesses how these themes have been interpreted in both classical and contemporary Islamic economic jurisprudence. The findings show that economic Hadiths significantly impact Islamic economic law by offering detailed rulings on business ethics, contracts, and financial partnerships. Core principles like fairness, transparency, and risk-sharing are highlighted. The study concludes that Hadiths play a crucial role in complementing Qur'anic guidance, providing practical frameworks for financial activities, and balancing ethics with legal rulings in Islamic economic law.

Abstract

The evolving landscape of Islamic education necessitates an examination of traditional and modern Qur’anic teaching methods to address the demands of contemporary learners. Traditional methods, such as rote memorization (tahfiz) and teacher-centered approaches, have been central to Qur’anic education for centuries. In contrast, modern methods emphasize interactive and learner-centered pedagogies, incorporating technology and critical thinking. This study compares these approaches to evaluate their effectiveness in fostering Qur’anic understanding and engagement among students. The research aims to identify the strengths and limitations of both teaching methods, providing insights into their impact on students’ comprehension, retention, and spiritual connection with the Qur’an. A mixed-methods approach was employed, combining surveys and interviews with students, teachers, and education experts across Islamic schools and institutions. Comparative analysis of classroom observations further enriched the findings. The results reveal that traditional methods excel in promoting memorization and discipline but often lack adaptability to diverse learning needs. Modern methods, while fostering critical thinking and engagement, face challenges in maintaining traditional values and spiritual depth. The study concludes that an integrative approach, combining the strengths of both methods, offers the most effective strategy for Qur’anic education in the modern era.

Abstract

Mental health is a global issue, but responses to mental health interventions can vary significantly across different cultural contexts. Culturally based interventions, which consider the social, spiritual, and cultural values of specific communities, are increasingly recognized as vital to improving mental health outcomes. However, there is limited research on how these culturally tailored approaches impact mental health in diverse populations. This study aims to explore the effectiveness of culturally based mental health interventions and examine how cultural values and practices influence responses to these interventions in different communities. A mixed-methods approach was employed, involving both quantitative and qualitative data. Surveys and clinical assessments were conducted to measure mental health outcomes among participants in culturally tailored interventions across four different cultural contexts. Additionally, in-depth interviews were held with participants to understand their experiences and perceptions of the interventions. Data were analyzed using statistical analysis for quantitative data and thematic analysis for qualitative insights. The findings revealed that culturally based interventions led to significant improvements in mental health outcomes compared to standard interventions. Participants reported higher levels of engagement, satisfaction, and perceived relevance of the interventions to their cultural values. Differences in intervention outcomes were observed across cultural groups, highlighting the importance of tailoring approaches to specific cultural contexts. Culturally based interventions play a crucial role in improving mental health outcomes by aligning with the cultural values and practices of communities. These interventions should be integrated into mental health strategies to ensure more effective and inclusive care.
