Abstract

Quality control is totally needed in Indonesian education process, beside accreditation as main control, quality control of  education grade should be build, with GPA as the indicator by using simple linier regretion method each GPA catagories will be ploted and compared with region ratio. Abstract

The physical distancing policy to prevent the spread of the Covid 19 outbreak, which was established by WHO as a global pandemic on March 12, 2020, affects various aspects of life. Distance learning is an implementation of physical distancing policies in the field of education. The purpose of this study in general is to provide an alternative interactive distance learning method, namely by using e-Learning learning methods assisted by google suite and geogebra to improve mathematical reasoning skills and self-efficacy of class XI MIPA students of SMAK PENABUR Kota Jababeka. The subjects in this study were 6 students, three male students and three female students. The results of this research indicate that use e-Learning method based on Google Suite and Geogebra Applications can improve mathematical reasoning skills and self efficacy. The average score of students' mathematical reasoning ability test of class XI MIPA in the final test of cycle I was 63.93 with the percentage of the number of students who achieved completeness criteria was 28.12%. In the final test of cycle II, the average score increased to 69.54 with the percentage was 40.63%. In the final test of cycle III, the average score of students' mathematical reasoning ability test increased to 74.33 with the percentage of the number of students who achieved completeness criteria was 67.75%. Meanwhile, the students' self-efficacy scores of class XI MIPA before using the e-Learning method assisted by the Google Suite and Geogebra applications, after which it has increased from 3.20 to 3.30.

Abstract

Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian tindakan kelas dengan kegiatan pra siklus dan dua siklus yang bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan pemecahan masalah dan disposisi matematis siswa dengan model pembelajaran problem based learning berbasis e-learning pada materi barisan dan deret. Penelitian ini dilakukan kepada 36 siswa kelas XI MIPA 2 SMAN 1 Cikarang Pusat dan dipilih 6 siswa sebagai subjek penelitian. Analisis data dilakukan dengan mendeskripsikan data kualitiatif dan kuantitatif. Data tersebut diperoleh dari instrumen penelitian, wawancara dan observasi. Penelitian yang telah dilakukan menunjukkan hasil kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis dan disposisi matematis siswa mengalami peningkatan. Hal tersebut dapat dilihat dari rata-rata nilai tes akhir siklus siswa yang meningkat pada setiap siklusnya. Rata-rata nilai tes akhir pada pra siklus adalah 25,12, pada siklus I meningkat menjadi 82,22 dengan kriteria baik, dan pada siklus II meningkat menjadi 84,58 dengan kriteria baik. Kemudian jumlah siswa yang telah mencapai kriteria baik memiliki nilai tuntas yaitu dengan nilai minimal 77 juga mengalami kenaikan pada tiap siklusnya. Pada pra siklus sebanyak 2 orang atau 5,56%, pada siklus I meningkat menjadi 29 orang atau 80,56%, dan pada siklus II meningkat menjadi 32 orang atau 88,89%. Data disposisi matematis siswa yang diambil berdasarkan angket juga mengalami peningkatan setiap siklusnya. Rata-rata nilai angket pada pra siklus adalah 64,24, pada siklus I meningkat menjadi 72,57, dan pada siklus II meningkat menjadi 77,91 dengan kategori baik. Hasil tersebut dapat disimpulkan bahwa kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis dan disposisi matematis siswa kelas XI MIPA 2 pada pokok bahasan barisan dan deret aritmatika dan geometri dapat meningkat melalui penerapan model pembelajaran problem based learning berbasis e-learning.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji pengaruh penerapan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe investigasi kelompok terhadap kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa SMPIT Insan Madani 8. Metode penelitian yang digunakan yaitu quasi eksperimen dengan posttest-only control group design. Populasi dalam penelitian ini yaitu seluruh peserta didik kelas VIII di SMPIT Insan Madani 8. Teknik pengambilan sampel Cluster Random Sampling. Kelas yang dijadikan sampel adalah kelas VIII-2 sebagai kelas eksperimen dan kelas VIII-3 sebagai kelas kontrol. Instrumen yang digunakan berupa posttest kemampuan komunikasi matematis pada materi pola bilangan yang telah diuji validitas dan reliabilitasnya. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data, digunakan Uji-t’ dua sampel independen dengan taraf signifikan 5% diperoleh rata-rata hasil tes kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa kelas eksperimen lebih tinggi dibandingkan dengan kelas kontrol. Hal ini mengakibatkan bahwa model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe investigasi kelompok memiliki pengaruh terhadap kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa di SMPIT Insan Madani 8 pada materi pola bilangan. Adapun uji cohen’s d diperoleh nilai d = 0,7 dengan presentase 76% yang menyimpulkan besar pengaruh sedang.

Abstract

Cryptography is one of the parts in mathematics, especially applied mathematics. Cryptography is the science that studies how to secure information that we don't want others to know about the information we have. Based on the development of the times, cryptography is divided into two consisting of classical cryptography and modern cryptography. In this paper, the focus of discussion is on classical cryptography. Furthermore, there are many kinds of classical cryptographic algorithms, such as the Caesar cipher algorithm, the Playfair cipher algorithm, the Vigenere cipher algorithm, and the Hill Cipher algorithm. The focus of discussion in this paper is on the Hill cipher algorithm. The modifications made to the Hill cipher algorithm lie in its key matrix. In this paper, it will be shown how to encrypt and decrypt the message we want to send using the Hill cipher algorithm with the matrix being a adjacency matrix. In which case, the adjacency matrix itself is obtained from the representation of the graph. Abstract

Education is the heart of the world. Exploration activities demonstrate students' mathematical problem-solving skills. Research purposes; The first, Identification learning outcomes by describing high, medium, and low Self-Regulated Learning (SRL) problem-solving abilities through the Missouri Mathematics Project (MMP). The second is to find out if the MMP model has a role in achieving classical mastery in its ability to solve mathematical problems the average value is it purpose achieved ≥ 80 in 75% of all samples. Mixed method, concurrent embedded design. A total of 75 students of the 8th grade of the SMP Pesantren Attaqwa Bogor in 2022-2023. Data from Problem-solving skills tests, SRL questionnaires, and interviews. Include 6 subjects; two high SRL students, two medium SRL students, and two low SRL students are picked from the 75 SRL-enrolled students. The teacher of the topic to be questioned in this study choose which students to interview. The research results show that: First, Students with high SRL are able to master the 4 components of Polya problem solving; medium SRL students are still able to understand the problem, make a settlement plan, carry out the settlement plan but are less able to re-examine the work; low SRL students are able to understand the problem but are less able to make a settlement plan, carry out the completion plan and re-check the work. Secondly, the KPM of statistical material students in the MMP model exceeded the mastery learning average score of ≥ 80 in 75% of class VIII students.

Abstract

Understanding mathematical concepts is an essential basis for thinking in solving mathematical and real world problems. However, students still do not understand mathematical concepts. The low ability to understand mathematical concepts is not only limited to normal students, but is also experienced by students with special needs, namely the deaf. Therefore, mathematics learning must be focused on improving a person's ability to understand concepts. The aim of this research is to develop Student Worksheets (LKPD) using the Indonesian Realistic Mathematics Approach (PMRI) to improve the ability to understand mathematical concepts for deaf students. The method used is research and development with the ADDIE model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation and Evaluation). At the analysis and design stage, data is collected through observation, questionnaires, interviews and tests. Next, the data is processed descriptively and quantitatively. Findings from the analysis results show that one of the subjects considered difficult by deaf students is whole numbers. This is caused by teaching materials that do not suit their characteristics. The results of the test for the ability to understand mathematical concepts show that the average score obtained by students is 53.20 and is categorized as low. Only one in six students meets the minimum completion requirement of 65 set by the school. Therefore, this research can be continued by developing PMRI-based digital LKPD to improve the ability to understand mathematical concepts. This is because the PMRI-based digital LKPD includes various stimuli carried out through various media, such as pictures, readings and videos and the contents of the LKPD have been summarized from several sources and presented using an approach that starts from the context of students' daily lives and continues with mathematics learning. formal. Another advantage is that this LKPD can be accessed at any time so it is easier for students to understand it.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memperoleh informasi tentang pengaruh penilaian otentik dan cara seleksi masuk Perguruan Tinggi Negeri (PTN) terhadap keberhasilan belajar Aljabar Linear mahasiswa Jurusan Matematika FMIPA UNJ. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah quasi eksperiment dengan desain penelitian factorial design 2x2. Populasi penelitian adalah seluruh mahasiswa Jurusan Matematika FMIPA UNJ pada tahun akademik 2015/2016, sementara sampel penelitian diambil dengan teknik multistage random sampling dan terpilih 2 kelas eksperimen adalah mahasiswa program studi Pendidikan Matematika Angkatan Tahun 2015/2016. Variabel terikat dalam penelitian ini adalah hasil belajar Aljabar Linear. Variabel bebas adalah penilaian otentik dalam pembelajaran (A) yang terdiri atas dua perlakuan yaitu penilaian portofolio (A1) dan penilaian kinerja (A2). Sementara variable moderator adalah cara seleksi masuk PTN yang terdiri atas dua kategori yaitu tipe seleksi dengan ujian tulis/SBMPTN dan Ujian Mandiri (B1) dan tipe seleksi tanpa ujian tulis/SNMPTN (B2). Hasil penelitian berdasarkan analisis data hasil test Aljabar Linear dengan menggunakan Twoway Anova melalui software SPSS 17 adalah: 1) Tidak terdapat perbedaan rata-rata hasil belajar Aljabar Linear antara mahasiswa yang diberi penilaian portofolio dan yang diberi penilaian kinerja. 2) Tidak terdapat perbedaan rata-rata hasil belajar Aljabar Linear antara mahasiswa yang diterima melalui seleksi ujian tulis dengan yang diterima melalui seleksi tanpa ujian tulis. 3) Terdapat pengaruh interaksi antara teknik penilaian dan jalur masuk PTN terhadap hasil belajar Aljabar Linear mahasiswa. 4) Rata-rata hasil belajar Aljabar Linear pada mahasiswa yang diterima melalui jalur seleksi ujian tulis, yang diberikan penilaian portofolio lebih tinggi daripada yang diberikan penilaian kinerja. 5) Rata-rata hasil belajar Aljabar Linear pada mahasiswa yang diterima melalui jalur seleksi tanpa ujian tulis, yang diberikan penilaian portofolio tidak lebih rendah atau sama dengan yang diberikan penilaian kinerja. 6) Rata-rata hasil belajar Aljabar Linear pada mahasiswa yang diberikan penilaian portofolio, yang diterima melalui jalur seleksi ujian tulis tidak lebih tinggi atau sama dengan yang diterima melalui jalur seleksi tanpa ujian tulis. 7) Rata-rata hasil belajar Aljabar Linear pada mahasiswa yang diberikan penilaian kinerja, yang diterima melalui jalur seleksi ujian tulis lebih rendah daripada yang diterima melalui jalur seleksi tanpa ujian tulis.

Abstract

This research aims to calculate pension fund program by using Projected Unit Credit (PUC) Method Constant Dollar Type and Attained Age Normal (AAN) Method. The differences analysis between PUC Method Constant Dollar Type and AAN Method shows that PUC Method Constant Dollar Type has a smaller final value of normalized contribution financing for the same pension benefit. Thus, for actuarial liabilities PUC Method Constant Dollar Type has a higher value compared to AAN Method. The result shows that PUC Method Constant Dollar Type is more beneficial for participants with a smaller final value of normal contribution financing, while AAN Method is more beneficial for pension fund with higher final value of normal contribution financing.

Abstract

This study aims to compare the error value of the tuberculosis disease model using the Euler method and the Heun method in DKI Jakarta. Tuberculosis (TB) remains a global health concern due to high prevalence rates in various regions, including DKI Jakarta. The Euler method and Heun method are two numerical techniques commonly used in modeling the spread of disease. Both methods were used to estimate the numerical solution of a mathematical model describing the spread of tuberculosis in DKI Jakarta. This study involves the use of recent epidemiological data to simulate and compare the prediction results between the Euler and Heun methods. The results showed a comparison of error values between the Euler and Heun methods in modeling the spread of tuberculosis disease in DKI Jakarta. The analysis of the difference in error values provides important insights in the selection of the most appropriate numerical method for modeling the spread of a complex disease such as tuberculosis.
