Abstract

The small particle size of nano calcium from freshwater mussels shell will tend to increase the absorp- tion of calcium by human’s body and will be very well consumed by children with special needs to suppress hyperactivity disorders that caused by mercury. This study aimed to create and determine the best instant granule formulation containing nano calcium from freshwater mussels shell. The research method began with the manufacture of freshwater mussels shell powder and isolated nano calcium. Nano calcium was tested for its solubility in acid. The granule formula was made with stevia varia- tions. Instant granule evaluation included granule ow test, rest angle, compressibility, water content, solubility, hedonic test, and calcium bioavailability. The results showed that nano calcium was soluble in 1:1 ratio of citric and tartrate acids, so that each formula needs 1.2% citric and 1.2% tartrate acids. Based on the avor, aroma, and texture, the most preferred granule formula contained 600 mg nano calcium, 60 mg citric acid, 60 mg tartaric acid, 400 mg stevia each sachet weighing 5 g. The best in- stant granule evaluation showed that the ow rate was 4.253 g/sec, 33.90 rest angle, 4.65% compress- ibility, 2.21% water content, soluble time 58 second and calcium bioavailability was 100%. Abstract

Bandotan (Ageratum conyzoides L.) merupakan tanaman gulma yang sering dimusnahkan, namun sekelompok masyarakat ada yang memanfaatkan tanaman ini sebagai obat tradisional yang dapat menyembuhkan beberapa macam penyakit diantaranya luka koreng di kulit, malaria, influenza, radang paru-paru, tumor dan obat rematik. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi senyawa yang ada dalam ekstrak heksana bandotan serta menguji aktivitas antibakterinya terhadap Staphylococcus aureus dan Escherichia coli. Herba bandotan diekstraksi dengan heksana menggunakan metode maserasi. Maserasi dilakukan dalam bejana tertutup selama 24 jam dan sesekali diaduk.Proses maserasi dilakukan sebanyak tiga kali volume 500 mL.Ekstrak heksana dipekatkan dengan rotary evaporator dan dilakukan pengujian fitokimia meliputi golongan senyawa alkaloid, saponin, tanin, triterpenoid steroid dan flavonoid. Ekstrak heksan herba bandotan diuji aktivitas antibakterinyaterhadap Staphylococcus aureus dan Escherichia coli dengan metode kertas cakram dan dianalisis senyawa kimianya dengan Kromatografi GasSpektrofotometri Massa (GC-MS). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kadar rendemen ekstrak sebesar 10,01%, kadar air 8,41%,dan ekstrak heksana herba bandotan mengandung senyawa golongan alkaloid, triterpenoid-steroid dan flavonoid. Ekstrak heksana herba bandotan memiliki aktivitas antibakteri dengan diameter daya hambat (DDH) terhadap S. aureus 29,6 mm dan diameter daya hambat (DDH) terhadap E. coli 12,4m sehingga lebih peka terhadap S. aureus (gram positif)dibandingkan dengan E.coli (gram negatif).Komponen senyawa yang terdapat dalam ekstrak heksana herba bandotan yang dianalisis dengan Kromatografi Gas Spektrometri Massa (GC-MS) antara lain kariofilen, isokariofilen, ageratokromen, demetoksiageratokromen, 6-vinil-7-metoksi-2,2dimetilkromen, kumarin, asam dikloroasetat, 1-heptadekanol, 7-etil-6-metil-5metiltiopirazolo[1,5-a]pirimidin.Senyawa-senyawa tersebut diduga merupakan senyawa yang berperan sebagai zat antibakteri.Kata kunci : Bandotan, heksana, antibakteri,Escherichia coli, Staphylococcus aureus,GC-MS

Abstract

 CPO is one of the largest plantation commodities that has a lot of derrivative products, among others are DiAcyl Glycerol (DAG) and MonoAcyl Glycerol (MAG). These derivative products have much higher added value because these can serve as healthy oil that able to prevent fat accumulation  in human body.The industry of the derivative products is not yet developed in Indonesia, among others are caused by underdeveloped technology of specific lipase enzyme for the production of DAG 1.3- glycerides, the stability and the activity of lipase enzyme need to be improved. This research was conducted with the aim to develop the production technology for 1.3-glycerides, developthe technology forlipase immobilization, develop the technology for CPO glycerolysis with immobilized lipase, and obtain the data composition of glycerolysis products. Lipase-producing fungi were isolated from tempeh, then cultured in a growth medium containing CPO. Lipase was then immobilized on severall solid support. Glycerolysis product composition was analyzed by Thin Layer Chromatography. The research results showed that the immobilization of lipases from Rhyzopus oryzae with adsorption techniques can be performed using zeolite, CaCO3, silica gel, and cow bones. The highest activity of immobilized lipase is on CaCO3as much as 99.46%, then on cow bones (91.56%), on zeolite (90.69%), andsilica gel (59.63%). The optimum condition of non immobillized lipase is pH 7 and temperature 30 °C, while immobilized lipase on CaCO3 is at  pH 8 and temperature35 ° C. Lipase immobilized on zeolite is at pH 8 and temperature of 30 ° C, on cow bone is at pH 7 and temperature of 30° C, andon silica gel is at pH 8 and temperature of 30° C. The all immobilized lipases are more stable than the free enzyme since the first week of storage. The optimum time of DAG production by immobilized lipase on CaCO3 is 18 hours to produce DAG level of 34.49% of the substrate.[Keywords: enzymatic glycerolysis, lipase, DAG, MAG, enzyme immobilization] AbstrakCPO merupakan komoditas perkebunan  yang memiliki banyak produk turunan, di antaranya Diasil Gliserol (DAG) dan Monoasil Gliserol(MAG). Produk turunan  tersebut memiliki nilai jual yang  tinggi karena dapat berfungsi sebagai minyak sehat dengan kemampuannya mencegah akumulasi lemak dalam tubuh. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa amobilisasi enzim lipase Rhyzopus oryzaedengan teknik adsorpsi dapat dilakukan menggunakanzeolit, CaCO3, silika gel, dan tulang sapi. Aktivitas enzim  tertinggi terdapat pada enzim yang diamobilisasi CaCO3sebesar 99,46%, kemudiantulang sapi 91,56%, zeolit 90,69%, dan silika gel 59,63%. Kondisi optimum lipase bebas ialah pH 7 dan temperatur 30 °C, sedangkan lipase teramobilpada CaCO3ialah pH 8temperatur 35 °C,lipase teramobil zeolit ialah pH 8 temperatur 30°C, lipase teramobil tulang sapi ialahpada  pH 7 temperatur 30°C, dan lipase teramobilsilika gel ialah pH 8 temperatur 30 °C. Seluruh lipase teramobil lebih stabil dibandingkan enzim bebas sejak penyimpanan pada minggu pertama.Waktu optimum produksi DAG dengan lipase teramobil pada CaCO3ialah selama 18 jam menghasilkan kadar DAG sebesar 34,49%  dan MAG 29,22% dari substratnya.[Kata kunci: gliserolisis enzimatik, lipase, DAG, MAG, amobilisasi enzim

Abstract

This study aims to find the optimum conditions for the adsorption of Cr (VI) ion to the eugenol-silica gel composite as an adsorbent and to determine the adsorption parameters using the Langmuir and Freundlich isotherm model. The three optimization parameters analyzed were pH, contact time, and weight of the adsorbent of the eugenol-silica gel composite. The optimization experiment was designed using the Box Behnken Design Response Surface Methodology (RSM) on the MINITAB software. Then, the maximum adsorption capacity was evaluated using the Langmuir and Freundlich isotherm equation model. The results showed that the optimum conditions for the adsorption process were the weight of the eugenol-silica gel composite adsorbent of 0.15 grams, contact time of 35 minutes and pH of 5. The adsorption process under these conditions was favorable because the RL obtained was 0.0297. The maximum absorption capacity of Cr (VI) was indicated by the qm value of 1.0328 mg/g, and the KF, KL, and n values ​​observed 0.7961, 1.0885 and 14.0056, respectively. Adsorption of Cr(VI) ion by eugenol-silica gel composite followed the Langmuir isotherm equation.

Abstract

Pesatnya pendidikan Islam khususnya sekolah sunnah yang dibarengi biaya Pendidikan yang cukup tinggi membuat banyak siswa khususnya dengan ekonomi menengah ke bawah kesulitan mendapatkan Pendidikan yang berkualitas. Sekolah Dasar Bait Ta’limy Mutiara Umat diberikan KIT IPA berupa paket atau set alat dan bahan pembelajaran Ilmu Pengetahuan Alam yang bertujuan untuk meningkatkan minat dan pemahaman siswa terhadap Ilmu Pengetahuan Alam yang bisa berupa penyediaan bahan dan alat praktikum, alat peraga, buku atau modul pembelajaran, atau bahkan program pelatihan bagi guru-guru IPA yang ada di sekolah tersebut. KIT IPA ini bertujuan untuk membantu siswa dalam memahami prinsip-prinsip dasar ilmu pengetahuan alam, mengembangkan pemahaman siswa tentang fenomena alam, dan melatih keterampilan dalam berpikir ilmiah serta aplikasi ilmu pengetahuan dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Pada saat pengabdian, dilakukan pembinaan kepada mitra khususnya guru yang mengampuh mata Pelajaran IPA untuk meningkatkan pembelajaran IPA dengan menggunakan alat-alat KIT IPA

Abstract

 Ciparigi Village is one of the Villages in the North Bogor District, Bogor City, West Java, with an area of 160.72 Ha. The population of Ciparigi Village is 18,324 people consisting of 9,092 men (49.62) and 9,232 women (50.38) with a total of 4,909 Family Heads. The population density in this Village in 2008 was 11,401 people per km2. When viewed from the activities of each working group in Ciparigi Village, it is still very small, this is probably due to the lack of delivery of various information or development of its members' skills in the form of counseling and training to the community. The solution offered by the University in this case the Chemistry Study Program, FMIPA, Pakuan University, is to provide counseling on the use of butterfly pea flowers to be applied to several food preparations. The lack of public knowledge, especially the family empowerment and welfare group in Ciparigi Village, in processing and optimizing the potential of butterfly pea flowers needs to be improved through socialization and training. The output targets to be achieved include publication in the LPPM Journal of Pakuan University, publication in the mass media, and increasing skills in making food products with butterfly pea flowers. The bright blue color of butterfly pea flowers is very attractive and easy to consume, mothers can produce butterfly pea flower syrup, butterfly pea flower tea and butterfly pea flower pudding. Butterfly pea flowers contain various active compounds that are beneficial for health, such as: anthocyanins - natural pigments that function as antioxidants to protect body cells from damage caused by free radicals, flavonoids-compounds that can help reduce inflammation and boost the immune system, cyclic peptides-Known to have antimicrobial and anticancer properties, phenolic acids-play a role in maintaining heart health and reducing the risk of chronic diseases.

Abstract
