Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan menyelidiki pengaruh pembelajaran inkuiri terbimbing berbasis praktikum pada materi laju reaksi terhadap penguasaan konsep dan sikap ilmiah siswa. Penelitian dilaksanakan di salah satu SMA swasta di Kota Bogor kelas XI IPA pada tahun ajaran 2016/2017. Populasi berjumlah 192 siswa dengan jumlah sampel sebanyak 60 siswa yang dibagi ke dalam 31 siswa mengikuti pembelajaran inkuiri terbimbing berbasis praktikum dan 29 siswa mengikuti pembelajaran tradisional. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui test penguasaan konsep laju reaksi dan angket sikap ilmiah dengan skala likert. Data dianalisis secara statistik deskriptif dan inferensial menggunakan independent t-test. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan antara penguasaan konsep siswa yang mengikuti pembelajaran inkuiri terbimbing berbasis praktikum (rata-rata 80,7) dan penguasaan konsep siswa yang mengikuti pembelajaran tradisional (rata-rata 74,8). Sikap ilmiah siswa juga menunjukkan perbedaan yang signifikan antara siswa yang mengikuti pembelajaran dengan inkuiri terbimbing berbasis praktikum (rata-rata 3,2) dan sikap ilmiah siswa yang mengikuti pembelajaran tradisional (rata-rata 2,2). Dengan demikian dapat disimpulkan pembelajaran inkuiri terbimbing berbasis praktikum dapat meningkatkan penguasaan konsep dan sikap ilmiah siswa.

Abstract

ABSTRAK: Antioksidan alami dimiliki oleh herbal, termasuk andaliman (Zanthoxylum aanthopodium, DC.). Namun metode ekstraksi memengaruhi kuantitas dan kualitas antioksidan hasil ekstrak. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menentukan aktivitas antioksidan dan mengidentifikasi senyawa aktif yang terdapat dalam ekstrak buah andaliman. Penelitian dilakukan dengan cara membuat ekstrak buah andaliman dengan metode maserasi menggunakan pelarut alkohol, aseton, etil asetat dan campuran etanol dan etil asetat. Analisis antioksidan dilakukan menggunakan metode DPPH (1,1-difenil-2-pikrilhidrazil). Ekstrak dengan aktivitas antioksidan tertinggi diidentifikasi senyawa aktifnya menggunakan FTIR dan LCMS. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ekstrak etanol buah andaliman memiliki aktivitas antioksidan tertinggi diantara ekstrak aseton, etil asetat, dan campuran etanol dan etil asetat, dengan IC50 sebesar 344,75 ppm. Hasil analisis dari FTIR dan LCMS menunjukkan bahwa senyawa aktif dalam buah andaliman diduga merupakan senyawa golongan terpenoid yaitu asam absisat dengan bobot molekul 264,06. Kata Kunci: Andaliman (Zanthoxylum acanthopodium DC), antioksidan, DPPH, IC50. ABSTRACT: Natural antioxidants are owned by herbs, including andaliman (Zanthoxylum aanthopodium, DC.). However the extraction method affects the quantity and quality of the antioxidant extracted. This study aims to determine the amount, antioxidant activity and identify active compounds contained in andaliman fruit extracts. The study was conducted by making andaliman fruit extracts using maceration method using alcohol, acetone, ethyl acetate and a mixture of ethanol and ethyl acetate. Antioxidant analysis was performed using the DPPH method (1,1-diphenyl-2-picrylhydrazyl). Extracts with the highest antioxidant activity were identified as active compounds using FTIR and LCMS. The results showed that andaliman fruit ethanol extract had the highest antioxidant activity among acetone extracts, ethyl acetate, and a mixture of ethanol and ethyl acetate, with IC50 of 344,75 ppm. The results of the analysis of FTIR and LCMS showed that the active compound in andaliman fruit was thought to be a terpenoid group, namely abscisic acid with a molecular weight of 264.06  Keywords: Andaliman fruit (Zanthoxylum acanthopodium DC), antioxidant, DPPH, IC50

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of chemistry practicum skills on students’ problem-solving abilities. The method used is descriptive research with a survey approach. The sample was determined using a simple random sampling probability technique, which included chemistry teachers from three different schools and 107 students from three schools. Indicators of practicum skills to problem-solving abilities ie students complete learning. Survey data were analyzed using quantitative descriptive techniques. The results showed that 74 people (69%) were in the good category and 33 people (39%) were in the very good category, and there were no students in the average, poor, and failed categories. So, it can be concluded that students' practicum skills on the separation of mixture material are effective in problem-solving skills.

Abstract

Innovation in teaching materials used in online learning is very urgent based on students’ needs. This study aims to measure the effectiveness of contextual research-based teaching materials to improve students’ learning independence and concept mastery of acid-base solution properties. The research method is Research and Development, referring to Borg and Gall. The research subjects were 60 students and 7 science teachers who have used teaching materials based on contextual research findings. The data collection technique in this study is a test that aims to determine the concept mastery and a questionnaire to measure students’ learning independence. Based on the results of the study, it is known that the average percentage of student learning independence is 78% (Good category). Besides, an average value of 73.83 is obtained with an N-Gain of 64% (Medium category). The use of contextual research-based teaching materials can increase learning independence in terms of information search and concept mastery of acid-base solution properties.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the specifications of energy modules in life systems integrating religious values on students’ scientific literacy. The research method uses a quasi-experimental design with a one-group pretest and posttest, with 50 seventh grade students in Islamic-based schools as research subjects. The data obtained were then analyzed using quantitative descriptive. The results of this study indicate that the application of energy modules in living systems integrating religious values is effective on the scientific literacy of students based on the average n-gain score of 0.44 which falls into the medium category. The scientific literacy competence of students in this study sequentially from the highest is to explain scientific phenomena with a percentage of 68.62%, then interpret data and scientific evidence with a percentage of 53.64%, and evaluate and design scientific investigations with a percentage of 41.67 %. Learning by using this module can improve students’ learning outcomes by making learning situations more active so that it is easier to understand the concept of energy in living systems. The research concludes that the application of energy modules in life systems integrating religious values is effective on students’ scientific literacy.

Abstract

Malaria is a disease caused by Plasmodium parasite transmitted by female Anopheles mosquito. Jung rahab plant (Baeckea frutecens) is known have an ability to inhibit the growth of Plasmodium falciparum. However, the inhibition of the parasite growth is still unknown. This research aimed to determine fractionation of aqueaous extract of jung rahab leaves that is contain antimalaria compound with a potential inhibition activity. Jung rahab plant was extracted using decoctition. The analysis included phytochemical screening, column chromatography fractionation, antimalaria activity, and compound identification by using UV-Vis, FT-IR, and GCMS. Jung rahab aqueous extract fraction resulted a potential antimalaria activity with IC50 105,9 ppm and fractionation result based on UV-Vis, FT-IR, and GCMS as pyrogallol.Keywords: antimalarial, β-hematin, Baeckea frutecens, extraction, IC50ABSTRAKMalaria merupakan penyakit yang disebabkan oleh parasit Plasmodium yang ditransmisikan oleh nyamuk Anopheles betina. Daun jung rahab (Baeckea frutecens) diketahui memiliki kemampuan untuk menghambat pertumbuhan Plasmodium falciparum. Akan tetapi, mekanisme penghambatan pertumbuhan parasit tanaman ini masih belum diketahui. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mencari fraksi lain dari ekstrak air daun jung rahab yang mengandung senyawa antimalaria dengan aktivitas penghambatan yang lebih tinggi. Ektraksi daun jung rahab dilakukan dengan metode dekoktasi, sedangkan analisis yang dilakukan adalah skrining fitokimia, fraksinasi menggunakan kromatografi kolom, uji aktivitas antimalaria, dan identifikasi senyawa hasil fraksinasi dengan UV-Vis, FT-IR, dan GCMS. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian ini, fraksi ekstrak air daun jung rahab memiliki aktivitas antimalaria potensial dengan nilai IC50 sebesar 105,9 ppm dan hasil fraksinasi senyawa berdasarkan UV-Vis, FT-IR, dan GCMS sebagai pirogalol.Kata kunci: antimalaria, β-hematin, Baeckea frutecens, ekstraksi, IC50­

Abstract

This study analyses students learning outcomes and internalization of Islamic values in buffer solutions through online learning during the Covid-19 pandemic. The study was conducted to find effective strategies in achieving students’ competence and Islamic values. This research is a quasi-experimental study conducted on 100 tenth-grade students using The One Group Pretest-Posttest model. The results showed students learning outcomes obtain an N-Gain value of 0.72 (high category). The internalization of Islamic values for three aspects: praying, blessing, and study hard determined the average above 3 (often do). Thus, the research concludes that online learning conducted on buffer materials is effective in mastering the content and internalization of Islamic values.
