Abstract

Academic stress is a common issue faced by university students, particularly in major cities like Jakarta, and often has a negative impact on their mental health. This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of Virtual Reality (VR) technology as an innovative coping strategy to reduce academic stress and improve students' mental health. The study utilized a quasi-experimental design involving 60 students from various universities in Jakarta who met the inclusion criteria, which included having moderate to high levels of academic stress. Participants were randomly divided into two groups: an experimental group (using VR intervention) and a control group (using conventional coping strategies). Data were collected using the Student-Life Stress Inventory (SSI) to measure academic stress levels and the Depression Anxiety Stress Scales (DASS-21) to assess mental health, at both pre-test and post-test stages. The results showed that the experimental group receiving the VR intervention experienced a significant reduction in academic stress levels (with an effect size of 1.86) and an improvement in mental health (with an effect size of 2.02), compared to the control group, which showed smaller changes. These findings support the hypothesis that VR-based coping interventions are more effective than conventional coping strategies in reducing academic stress and improving students' mental health. These results have practical implications for educational institutions to consider incorporating VR technology into student mental health support programs. The study suggests using VR as an engaging and relevant coping method for the tech-savvy student generation.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of Financial Literacy and Financial Behavior on Financial Stability among Indonesian diaspora women in South Korea, specifically within the Muslimah Humairah Community. Using a quantitative approach and a descriptive-verificative design, data were collected through a structured questionnaire from 88 respondents. The research employed multiple linear regression analysis and tested the classical assumptions, including normality, multicollinearity, heteroskedasticity, and autocorrelation. The results demonstrate that both Financial Literacy and Financial Behavior have a significant positive effect on Financial Stability. Financial Literacy plays a more dominant role, with a standardized coefficient (Beta) of 0.783, compared to Financial Behavior, which has a Beta of 0.173. The regression model explains 79.4% of the variation in Financial Stability (R² = 0.794), confirming its robustness. These findings highlight the importance of integrating financial education with practical behavioral interventions to foster economic resilience. Improving financial knowledge and encouraging disciplined financial habits can empower diaspora women to achieve greater financial stability, particularly in the face of economic challenges in a foreign country.

Abstract

Climate change and environmental issues are increasingly becoming major concerns worldwide, with impacts increasingly felt across various industrial sectors. In this context, corporate social responsibility (CSR) and corporate social responsibility (CSR) are two inseparable elements in efforts to create a greener and more sustainable future. One increasingly popular way to address these challenges is through the implementation of Green Human Resource Management (GHRM), which focuses on integrating environmentally friendly principles into human resource management (HRM) (Renwick et al., 2013). This article aims to examine the development of the Green Human Resource Management concept, the main practices implemented by companies within a biodiversity framework, and the benefits that can be obtained from implementing GHRM. Researchers also function as a literature research tool, so the level of objectivity is still debatable. The explicit search process means that SLR is usually more time-consuming than traditional observation (Priharsari, 2022). This step is in accordance with the guidelines in PRISMA (Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses). The literature search was conducted using the Watase UAKE application by entering the Scopus search engine API key. The search engine was selected to obtain reputable scientific literature indexed by Scopus Q1, Q2, Q3, and Q4. SLR research can be used as a method to identify and uncover theories on the topic of interest. Based on the 194 articles reviewed, a systematic literature review was conducted, with publication dates between 2020 and 2024. Only 40 articles met the criteria and were used as references in this study. Based on the findings, the most widely used research method was quantitative. The results also indicate that Green HRM plays a significant role in Environmental Performance, which is widely applied within organizations and the business world.

Abstract

Through this study, I aim to analyze the impact of Fear of Missing Out (FoMO) on purchasing decisions through impulsive behavior between TikTok Pop Mart live streaming consumers. The swift expansion of live streaming commerce has boosted consumer interest tendency to make spontaneous purchases influenced by emotional and psychological factors, particularly FOMO. This study employed applying a quantitative design through Structural Equation Modeling–Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS).The researchers collected data using questionnaire distributed to TikTok users who had watched Pop Mart live streaming sessions and purchased Pop Mart products, with purposive sampling. The research variables consisted of Fear of Missing Out (FoMO) identified being an independent element, impulsive behavior as an intermediary, and purchasing decisions as the dependent variable. Findings indicate that FoMO exerts a significant favorable impact on purchase decisions. In addition, impulsive behavior has been identified as significantly act as an intermediary between FoMO and purchasing decisions during TikTok Pop Mart live streaming sessions. This research suggests that emotional triggers through live streaming commerce can increase consumers' impulsive tendencies and encourage spontaneous purchase behavior. This paper adds to the existing literature on knowledge about consumer actions within social commerce and provides managerial implications for live streaming marketing strategies.

Abstract

Purpose – This study aims to examine the role of Sharia-based personal norms (SN) in shaping Muslim Gen Z voluntourists’ re-participation intention (RI) in volunteer tourism (voluntrip), while investigating the mediating role of memorable volunteer tourism experience (MVTE).Methodology – A quantitative approach was employed using survey data collected from 273 Muslim Gen Z voluntourists in West Java, Indonesia. Data were analyzed using partial least squares structural equation modeling (PLS-SEM), complemented by multi-group analysis (PLS-MGA) to assess group differences based on activity orientation and participation duration.Findings – The results reveal that SN influence both the MVTE and RI. Moreover, MVTE serves a complementary partial mediating role in the relationship between personal norms and behavioral intention. This infers that the continuation of voluntrip action hinges on how participation is experienced and remembered. In addition, this study assessed group differences in activity orientation and participation duration. However, no statistically significant differences were found, implying that Muslim Gen Z voluntourists are largely value-driven, with experiences and intentions shaped more by meaningfulness than by contextual factors. Implications – The findings highlight memorable experiences as a partial pathway linking personal norms to sustained participation in voluntourism. Initiators and providers are encouraged to pursue the goal of maslahah by developing impactful and meaningful voluntrip designs.Originality – This study incorporates maqasid al-Sharia on personal norms and investigates the mediating role of memorable experiences on norm activation theory, offering a novel faith-based perspective in voluntourism research and providing a deeper understanding of value-driven experience tourist behavior among Muslim Gen Z.

Abstract

This study examines the influence of user-generated images and seller trust on purchase intention among Generation Z Shopee users in Indonesia. The rapid growth of e-commerce has increased consumers’ reliance on visual information and online seller credibility when making purchase decisions. This research applies a quantitative explanatory approach using an online survey of 101 respondents aged 18–27 who actively shop on Shopee. Data were analyzed using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) to evaluate the relationships between variables. The results show that user-generated images significantly enhance purchase intention by improving perceptions of product authenticity and reliability. In addition, seller trust positively influences purchase intention by reducing perceived risk and increasing confidence in online transactions. Both variables jointly contribute to shaping Generation Z’s purchasing behavior in digital marketplaces. This study provides empirical evidence on the role of visual content and trust in e-commerce decision-making, offering practical insights for online sellers to optimize review management and trust-building strategies.
