ABSTRACT This research was conducted in May 2017 at Berakit Village, Teluk Sebong Sub-district, Bintan Regency, Kepulauan Riau Province. The purpose of this study was to identify social warannty forms, to describe social security mechanisms, and to know the effect of social warranty on behavioral changes of the Suku Laut community.This research method is qualitative method, informant determined with snowball sampling, and data were analyzed using descriptive analysis. The results show that the existing forms of social warannty in the Suku Laut Community are the guarantee of education, health insurance, food clothing, housing security, and job and business warannty.The mechanism for obtaining social warranty in the Suku Laut Community is formal and informal.With the social warannty obtained by the Suku Laut Community, there will be behavioral changes such as residential change, economy, attitude / behavior, spiritual change/ belief and lifestyle changes both transportation and communication in the community. The research of The Wisdom of Local Communities in the Preservation of Subayang River Ecosystems was Conducted in April 2016 at Tanjung Belit village Kampar Kiri Sub District Hulu Kampar Regency Riau Province. The objectives of this research are:(1) to describe the social characteristics, economy and ecology of Subayang River environment at Tanjung Belit village (2) to analyze the shapes and the development of local communities wisdom associated with the preservation of the Subayang River ecosystem at Tanjung Belit village. The method used in this research is qualitaive method with qualitative approach including observation, interview guided by quissionare and documentation.Based on the result of the researh (1) social, economic and ecological with their customary forbidden forests and this prohibition hole is an event for the local community at Tanjung Belit village to keep the relationship betwen each other, prevent damage to the environmental of the forests and rivers and overcome forests damage and restoring environmental damage (2) shapes wisdom of local communities are ban on use putas, tuba and a stun, the ban on cutting tress, use of simple technology in clearing and opening and closing the prohibition hole. This research was conductded on January 2016 in Pondok Batu Village, Sarudik District, Center Tapanuli Regency, North Sumatera Province. This research purposed were to analyze the role of Pelabuhan Perikanan Nusantara Sibolga in fisheries industry development toward the local rural labor absorption, and to analyze percentage of Pelabuhan Perikanan Nusantara Sibolga contribution toward the local rural labor absoption in Pondok Batu Village. The method used in for this research was observation case study method and respondent determining with purposive sampling.The result indicated, that in Pelabuhan Perikanan Nusantara Sibolga industry development has been make into Pondok Batu Village being the center of fisheries industry in Center Tapanuli and increase the people economy. Pelabuhan Perikanan Nusantara Sibolga contribution toward local rural labor absorption as 872 or 51,23 % rural labor, and total rural labor as much as 2856 person.Keyword : The Role, Sibolga, Pelabuhan Perikanan Nusantara Sibolga, Rural Labor Absorption, Pondok Batu Village.

The purpose of this study is to describe the characteristics offishermen's wive, to analyze the time division of the fisherman wife between therole of housewife and the additional income earner and to describe the role of thefisherman wife in increasing the household income. The method used in thisresearch is survey method. Respondents in this research is the wife of fishermanwho work outside the house amounted to 25 peopleBased on the research result that the role of fisherman wife in increasingthe household income of fisherman have characteristic that generally aged (16-45years old) is classified as very productive age with number 22 soul. Educationlevel of fisherman wife is elementary school graduate amounted to 14 soul, themost dominant family count is 6-7 with 13 souls. Experience of wife of fishermanwork that is> 8 year with amount of 17 soul. Curious working hours given by thefisherman's wife are as daily necessity traders around 84 hours / week, asprocessing of fishery products about 28 hours / week, as factory workers about 56hours / week and as animal raising around 28 hours / week. The average incomeearned by fishermen's wife every month from the profession as the processing offishery products as much as Rp.625.900, as a day-to-day trader of Rp. 350.000, asfactory worker of Rp. 500.000 and animal raising Rp.430.000Key words: Role, Fisherman’s wife, Pondok Batu

ABSTRACTThis research is about social capital of fisherman communities in Kampung Nelayan Seberang Belawan Iof North Sumatera Provincehas been done in Apri-Mey 2018. The purpose of this research is to find out social capital structures, functions of social capital, and mechanisms of social capital maintenance of fisherman communities in Kampung Nelayan Seberang. The research method used is Case Study Method by researching the status of research subjects. The sampling technique used is the snowball sampling technique that is initially small and then enlarged with the number of informants that are not determined and stopped after the research informations isconsidered already enough. The results showed that are five types of capital, natural capital, human capital, physical capital, financial capital and social capital. Social capital has an important role in bonding relations between fishermen, without of social capital, other capital cannot be accessed because social capital is the capital whitchmoving other capital. The social capital structure, has a participation in a networks, resiprocitys, trusts, norms, values, and proactive actions in good condition. Such functions of social capital solve problems, unite and build participations. Maintenance of social capital by uniting social solidarity, making rules, balance and proactive actions.Keywords: Social Capital, Communities Fisherman, Fisherman Village.

This research was conducted in June 2021 in North Bintan Area Bintan District Kepulauan Riau Province. The location of this study was determined purposively with the consideration that North Bintan area is a sub-district where most of the people work as users of caulerpa racemosa sea grapes. Determination of respondents in this study was carried out by census and using a mixed approach (mix methods). The data was collected by means of observation, documentation and direct interviews with 7 users of caulerpa racemosa sea grapes. The results of this study indicate that the household income of the coastal community of North Bintan area after becoming a sea grapes user has increased by an average of IDR 1,209,924.00 or 34%. Meanwhile, based on the analysis of the Sustainable Livelihood Framework, it shows that the business of utilizing caulerpa racemosa sea grapes is classified as sustainable from the human resources aspect, financial aspect, production aspect and marketing aspect

Berdasarkan Rencana Pembangunan Jangka Panjang Daerah (RPJPD) Kabupaten Lingga dan Rencana Pembangunan Jangka Menengah Daerah (RPJMD) Kabupaten Lingga salah satu arah kebijakan yang tertuang disana adalah pemanfaatan potensi unggulan daerah (perikanan) untuk kesejahteraan. Sumberdaya perikanan di Kabupaten Lingga membutuhkan analisa, perencanaan, dan inovasi untuk dapat dikembangkan menjadi produk unggulan daerah. Usaha pengembangan produk unggulan daerah di Kabupaten Lingga dilakukan dalam beberapa tahap yang meliputi studi kebijakan, focus group discussion, dan penyusunan rencana pengembangan. Pengembangan produk unggulan daerah di kabupaten lingga diawali dengan pengembangan produk-produk berskala UKM yang kemudian dalam perencanaan jangka panjang akan dikembangkan beberapa produk olahan segar dan beku. Peluang pengembangan produk unggulan daerah juga mengarah pada pemanfaatan limbah untuk mengurangi produksi buangan yang dapat mengganggu kualitas lingkungan.

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menilai status keberlanjutan pembangunan pulau kecil untuk kepentingan pariwisata bahari di Pulau Benan dan Pulau Abang, Kepulauan Riau. Modifikasi dari kombinasi metode Rapsmile dan Rapbeachtour menghasilkan Rapsmiletourman yang berbasis metode Rapfish telah digunakan dalam kajian ini. Modifikasi metode dimaksudkan untuk melengkapi metode sebelumnya agar dihasilkan metode yang memiliki kekhususan dalam menilai pembangunan pulau-pulau kecil yang berorientasi spesifik pada kepentingan pariwisata bahari. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa pembangunan pulau kecil di Pulau Benan untuk kepentingan pariwisata bahari berada dalam status cukup berkelanjutan sementara Pulau Abang masih berada dalam status kurang berkelanjutan. Berdasarkan indikator (atribut) dari lima dimensi yang dipertimbangkan, dimensi teknologi dan kelembagaan di kedua pulau memberikan peran yang besar dalam membentuk indeks keberlanjutan pembangunan pulau.
