Abstract

Perbedaan latar belakang pendidikan santri dan tercampurnya bahasa wajib pondok dan Bahasa ibu dalam percakapan sehari-hari sebelum memasuki Madrasah Tsanawiyah (MTs) Darul Falah menyebabkan penguasaan dan pemahaman dalam berbahasa Arab dalam maharatu-l-kalam menjadi tidak sama. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menghasilkan dan mendeskripsikan kualitas bahan ajar materi ‘Adad dan Ma’dud bagi santri Kelas Dua di MTs Darul Falah Ponorogo dalam maharatu-l-kalam. Peneliti menggunakan Metode Kuantitatif dan kualitatif dan juga penelitian dan pengembangan (R&D). Desain penelitian pengembangan yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah desain Borg dan Gall yang meliputi; Penelitian dan pengumpulan data, Perencanaan, Pengembangan draf produk, Uji coba lapangan awal, Merevisi hasil uji coba, Uji coba lapangan, Penyempurnaan produk hasil uji lapangan, Uji pelaksanaan lapangan, Penyempurnaan produk akhir serta Diseminasi dan implementasi. Adapun data-data hasil penelitian pengembangan menggunakan metode dokumenter. Sementara medote analisis data adalah menggunakan prosentasi hasil penelitian. Hasil penelitiannya merancang bahan ajar yang berisi tentang Kesalahan berbahasa santri kelas dua MTs Darul Falah Ponorogo terklasifikasi dalam kesalahan mudzakkar dan muannats, tamyiz, al-I’rab, al-ism al-manshub, dan al-ism almajrur kemudian mengukur hasil penerapan bahan ajar yang dirancang dan dampaknya terhadap peningkatan santri dalam maharatu-l-kalam. Diharapakan bagi guru dan santri untuk menggunakan bahan ajar yang telah dikembangkan ini agar para santri mampu memahami kaidah-kaidah ‘Adad dan Ma’dud dalam bahasa Arab, serta menerapkanya untuk meningkatkan maharatu-l-kalam santri. The difference in the educational background of the santri and the mixing of the compulsory language of the pesantren and the mother tongue in daily conversation before entering the Darul Falah Islamic boarding school causes the mastery and understanding of the Arabic language in maharatu-l-kalam to be unequal. The purpose of this study was to produce and describe the quality of teaching materials for the material 'Adad and Ma'dud for Grade Two students at MTs Darul Falah Ponorogo in maharatu-l-kalam. Researchers use Quantitative and qualitative methods as well as research and development (R&D). The development research design used in this research is the Borg and Gall design which includes; Research and data collection, Planning, Development of product drafts, Initial field trials, Revising trial results, Field trials, Improvement of field test results, Field implementation tests, Final product improvement and Dissemination and implementation. As for the data from development research using the documentary method. While the data analysis method is to use the percentage of research results. The results of his research are designing teaching materials that contain language errors for second-grade students at College of male and female teachers on Islam (KMI). Darul Falah Islamic Boarding School Ponorogo classified into mudzakkar and muannats errors, tamyiz, al-I'rab, al-ism al-manshub, and al-ism almajrur then measure the results of the application designed teaching materials and their impact on improving students in maharatu-l-kalam. It is hoped that teachers and students will use the teaching materials that have been developed so that students are able to understand the rules of 'Adad and Ma'dud in Arabic, and apply them to improve the students' maharatu-l-kalam.

Abstract

اهتم معهد دار السلام كونتور للبنات الحرم الأول نحو اللغة العربية والإنجليزية كوسيلة الاتصال والتفاعل اليومي. وجدت الباحثة بعض الصعوبات الموجهة في تعلم اللغة العربية كصعوبة في تعويد الطالبات على التواصل والتفاعل الإجابي باللغة العربية. أن هدفا البحث هو الكشف عن دور البيئة اللغوية السكنية في تعلم اللغة العربية لطالبات الفصل الأول بمعهد دار السلام كونتور للبنات الحرم الأول استخدمت الباحثة بحثا ميدانيا ودراسة وصفية كيفية، وأربعة أساليب جمع البيانات، منها: الملاحظة، والمقابلة، والتوثيق، والتثليث. وأسلوب تحليل البيانات المستخدم هو نموذج مايلز وهوبرمان (Miles and Huberman), الذي يتضمن على ثلاث خطوات، وهي: تخفيض البيانات، وعرض البيانات، وخلاصة. أن نتيجة هذا البحث هي أن البيئة اللغوية السكنية لطالبات الفصل الأول شاملا وكاملا ورائعا. والبيئة اللغوية السكنية ذات دور هام في تعلم اللغة العربية لطالبات الفصل الأول نحو أربع مهارات لغوية كتعويد سماعة الأصوات العربية وفهم المسموع، ووتعويد على النطق والتفاعل الإيجابي باللغة العربية، وتعويد على القراءة الصحيحة وفهم مضمون الكتابة العربية، وممارسة على كتابة النصوص العربية الصحيحة The Modern Islamic Boarding School Darussalam Gontor is an educational institution that utilizes Arabic and English as the primary languages of instruction on a daily basis. One of the main challenges in teaching Arabic, particularly for Student of class one, is encouraging them to actively speak the language. This study aims to examine the role of the language environment in the Arabic learning process for first-year students at the Darussalam Gontor Modern Islamic Boarding School (1st Campus). The research method employed is descriptive qualitative, with data collection techniques including observation, interviews, documentation, and triangulation. The data analysis follows the Miles and Huberman model, which consists of three stages: data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing and verification. The findings indicate that the language environment at Darussalam Gontor Putri 1 Modern Pondok meets the ideal criteria for a conducive and effective language environment. It plays an active role in supporting the language learning process, particularly for Student of class one, across all four language skills: habituating students to listen to and comprehend Arabic contexts, encouraging active interaction in Arabic, promoting reading and understanding of Arabic sentences and vocabulary, and training students to write Arabic sentences correctly and appropriately.

Abstract

A Community service program (PKM) is a program designed for community empowerment. Mojorejo Village, Ponorogo Regency, East Java, Indonesia, is a village with bamboo producers and human resources who have expertise as woven bamboo craftsmen. The community service program aims to develop safe woven bamboo production, with the ultimate goal of increasing the income of the community in Mojorejo Village and reducing the risk of work accidents for bamboo woven craftsmen. This program uses a Participatory Rural Appraisal (PRA) approach, and identification of potential hazards, where in the program implementation it uses focus group discussions, training, socialization, counseling, and mentoring. The result of this program is an increase in the health and safety of woven bamboo craftsmen and an increase in the community's economy through product development.

Abstract

This study aims to explore the innovation of using the Wordwall application as a learning medium for Arabic language instruction—specifically tailored to the needs of students in the Agrotechnology study program at Darussalam Gontor University. Adopting a qualitative approach through a case study method, the research seeks to illustrate how Wordwall is implemented in the Arabic language learning process for specific purposes (Li Aghrad Khassah) and assess its overall effectiveness. Data collection methods included interviews, observations, and documentation. The data were analyzed using the Miles and Huberman model. Findings indicate that integrating Wordwall into Arabic language learning significantly supports students’ comprehension, particularly regarding content relevant to Agrotechnology. This improvement is evidenced by the comparison between pre-test and post-test scores—students in classes A and C scored 42% on the pre-test, which increased to 86% on the post-test, showing a notable enhancement in their understanding. Despite its benefits, the use of this application also faces certain challenges, primarily due to the reliance on a stable internet connection.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of interactive learning in Islamic Religious Education (PAI) subjects under the Independent Curriculum at MIN 5 Ngawi. The Independent Curriculum, which will be implemented nationally in 2024, emphasizes flexibility, contextual learning, and strengthening student character. This study used a qualitative approach with data collection techniques through observation, interviews, and documentation. The results show that the application of interactive learning methods—such as discussions, project-based learning, contextual learning, storytelling, and demonstrations—has proven effective in increasing student motivation and understanding of PAI materials. However, the implementation of interactive learning at MIN 5 Ngawi still faces several obstacles, including limited learning time, logistical constraints, lack of teacher training, and difficulties in integrating information technology. Furthermore, the diversity of student backgrounds demands an inclusive, multicultural approach. Nevertheless, various efforts have been made to optimize PAI learning, including through method diversification, development of learning media, teacher training, and ongoing evaluation. This study recommends the need to strengthen teacher capacity, provide adequate learning resources, and develop an inclusive and adaptive curriculum to meet student needs. Abstract

AbstrakPermasalahan sampah di Indonesia menghadapi tantangan utama dalam pengelolaan sampah khususnya wilayah dengan masyarakat pedesaan yang memegang tradisi membakar sampah. Proses pembakaran sampah menimbulkan masalah lain berupa risiko kebakaran, adanya polusi udara, mengakibatkan penyakit mata, asapnya mengandung zat beracun seperti dioksin, furan, karbon monoksida, serta partikel halus (PM2.5) yang dapat menyebabkan penyakit pernapasan, kanker, gangguan hormone. Program pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk memperkenalkan inovasi Kompos Digital sebagai solusi pengolahan sampah berkelanjutan berbasis teknologi. Metode pelaksanaan meliputi sosialisasi dan pendampingan penggunaan sistem digital yang terintegrasi dengan sensor Internet of Things (IoT) merupakan konsep dimana perangkat berupa aplikasi mobile Blynk IoT yang memiliki fungsi untuk memantau suhu serta mengetahui kadar kelembapan secara real-time. Selain itu, sebagai sarana edukasi dan monitoring masyarakat dalam proses pengomposan secara mandiri. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan adanya peningkatan pengetahuan dan keterampilan warga dalam mengelola sampah secara efisien, serta terciptanya produk kompos berkualitas tinggi yang dapat dimanfaatkan untuk pertanian berupa kompos dan untuk peternakan sebagai pakan ternak. Dengan adanya Kompos Digital, masyarakat tidak hanya mendapatkan manfaat ekonomi melalui pengurangan biaya pupuk, tetapi juga berkontribusi pada pengurangan emisi karbon dan penciptaan lingkungan yang lebih bersih. Program ini menegaskan pentingnya kolaborasi antara teknologi serta partisipasi masyarakat dalam mewujudkan pengelolaan sampah berkelanjutan. AbstractIndonesia's waste management challenges are significant, particularly in rural areas where burning is a common practice. The burning process poses additional challenges, including fire risks, air pollution, and eye diseases. The smoke contains toxic substances such as dioxins, furans, carbon monoxide, and fine particulate matter (PM2.5), which can cause respiratory illnesses, cancer, and hormonal disruption. This community service program aims to introduce the Digital Compost innovation as a technology-based, sustainable waste management solution. The implementation method includes socialization and mentoring on the use of digital systems integrated with Internet of Things (IoT) sensors. This concept is where the device is in the form of a Blynk IoT mobile application that has the function to monitor temperature and determine humidity levels in real-time. In addition, it serves as a means of education and monitoring the community in the independent composting process. The results of the activity show an increase in community knowledge and skills in managing waste efficiently, as well as the creation of high-quality compost products that can be used for agriculture in the form of compost and for livestock as animal feed. With the Digital Compost, the community not only gains economic benefits through reduced fertilizer costs, but also contributes to reducing carbon emissions and creating a cleaner environment. This program emphasizes the importance of collaboration between technology and community participation in realizing sustainable waste management.

Abstract

The mental development of santri is a fundamental aspect of pesantren education in responding to the challenges of character building and the resilience of the younger generation in the contemporary era. At-Tarbiyah Furusiyah Al-Islamiyah, as a physical education program based on the Sunnah of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) such as horseback riding and archery, is considered relevant in integrating physical, mental, and spiritual dimensions. This study aims to analyze the implementation of At-Tarbiyah Furusiyah Al-Islamiyah in the mental development of students, as well as to identify supporting and inhibiting factors in its implementation. The study uses a descriptive qualitative approach with a case study design. Data were collected through participant observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation involving 24 informants, consisting of caregivers, administrators, trainers, and students. Data analysis was conducted interactively through the stages of data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of the study indicate that At-Tarbiyah Furusiyah Al-Islamiyah is effective in shaping spiritual mentalities (trust in God and sincerity), ideological mentalities (courage and loyalty), as well as disciplined and resilient mentalities (focus and toughness). The success of the program is supported by the strong pesantren culture and the enthusiasm of the students, while limitations in time, facilities, and parents' understanding become the main obstacles. This study contributes to enriching the study of Islamic physical education as a model for holistic and contextual mental development of students.

Abstract

Background: Arabic learning at Islamic Religious Colleges focuses on speaking proficiency, but matriculation students often face obstacles when adapting. To overcome this, communicative methods are needed that emphasize active interaction and practical language practice, both in the classroom and in the dormitory. Research Objectives: This study aims to reveal the effectiveness of applying communicative methods in improving Arabic speaking skills among matriculation class students at Darussalam Gontor University. Methodology: This research employs a qualitative approach with a case study design. Data were collected through observation and semi-structured interviews. Informants were selected purposively and consisted of the language development directorate, lecturers, tutors, students, and dormitory managers. The data were analyzed systematically to understand the implementation process and its impact on students’ speaking abilities. Results: The findings indicate that the application of communicative methods improves students’ Arabic speaking skills and encourages active participation throughout the learning process. Students become more confident in using Arabic in classroom interaction and daily communication. Supporting elements such as the language environment, daily vocabulary programs, and learning motivation strengthen the effectiveness of the method. However, several challenges appear, particularly the heterogeneous educational backgrounds of students which influence their initial language proficiency. Unique Contribution: This study provides empirical insight into how communicative methods function in an intensive language environment that integrates classroom learning with dormitory-based language practice. The research highlights the role of institutional language policies and daily vocabulary programs in supporting communicative language learning. Conclusion: The study confirms that a consistently implemented communicative approach can increase students’ confidence and improve Arabic speaking skills naturally. Continuous interaction and contextual language use play a central role in developing students’ oral proficiency. Recommendations: Educational institutions should design Arabic language curricula that integrate communicative learning strategies with a structured language environment. Institutions should also provide consistent speaking practice, vocabulary enrichment programs, and motivational support to accommodate students with diverse educational backgrounds.

Abstract

Motivation plays a crucial role in fostering learners’ success in acquiring Arabic speaking skills, particularly within immersive language environments. However, limited studies have examined Arabic speaking motivation through McClelland’s theory of needs in Islamic higher education contexts. This study aims to explore the motivational dynamics underlying students’ engagement in learning mahārah al-kalām within the matriculation program at Darussalam Gontor University. Employing a qualitative case study design, data were collected through classroom observations, semi-structured interviews, and document analysis involving matriculation students and instructors. The findings reveal that students’ motivation is shaped by three interrelated needs proposed by McClelland: achievement, affiliation, and power. Achievement needs are reflected in students’ efforts to improve speaking performance and attain academic excellence. Affiliation needs emerge through intensive social interactions in the boarding-school environment, which encourage consistent Arabic language use. Meanwhile, power needs are manifested in students’ aspirations to influence peers, lead discussions, and demonstrate communicative competence. The study further highlights the significant role of the boarding-based language environment in strengthening these motivational dimensions and sustaining speaking practice. The findings contribute to the theoretical development of motivation studies in Arabic language learning and offer practical implications for designing language-environment-based speaking programs in Islamic higher education institutions.
