Abstract

The Covid-19 pandemic has disrupted the conventional learning process. So a solution is needed to answer this problem. Online learning is one alternative that can overcome this problem. This study aims to describe the management of online implementation at SD Negeri 117505 Panjang Tongah. This study identifies online learning management during the covid-19 pandemic and analyzes the policies of principals and teachers in their implementation. This research uses a qualitative approach in the form of a case study. The data collection procedure used: (1) semi-structured interview (Indept Interview), (2) participatory observation, (3) document study. Data analysis was carried out simultaneously with the data collection process. Checking the validity of the data includes four techniques, namely credibility, transferability, dependability, and confirmability. The results of this study indicate that 1) the implementation of online learning at SD Negeri 117505 Panjang Tongah takes place online through the class whatsapp group platform; 2) the obstacles that arise from online learning are the limitations of teachers controlling interests and students' learning motivation, limitations of parents in spending time and providing learning facilities and infrastructure, students prefer face-to-face learning, and obstacles in adapting technology

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to ascertain the following: (1) the impact of school culture on junior high school work motivation; (2) the impact of transformational leadership on this relationship; (3) the impact of school culture on junior high school teacher performance; (4) the relationship between transformational leadership and junior high school performance; and (5) the impact of work motivation on junior high school teacher performance. Using descriptive data analysis methodologies, the study was carried out at junior high schools in the Delitua District in the academic year of 2023–2024. Regression analysis techniques were included in the data analysis method. There is a sample of 128 teachers in the population. The study's findings demonstrated that: (1) work motivation is directly impacted by school culture; (2) work motivation is directly impacted by transformational leadership in a significant positive way; (3) school culture directly affects performance; (4) transformational leadership directly affects performance; and (5) work motivation directly affects performance. These findings suggest that teacher effectiveness is influenced by school culture, transformational leadership, and work motivation and are important factors in supporting teacher performance.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the direct effects of several variables as follows: the democratic leadership style of school principals on work motivation; interpersonal communication on work motivation; the democratic leadership style of school principals on the performance of guidance and counseling teachers; interpersonal communication on the performance of guidance and counseling teachers; and work motivation on the performance of guidance and counseling teachers. The population of this study includes 55 guidance and counseling teachers working in public vocational high schools in Deli Serdang Regency. Based on calculations using the Slovin formula, a sample of 35 individuals was obtained through random sampling methods. Data collection was conducted through instrument trials, showing very high reliability: democratic leadership of school principals: 0.807; interpersonal communication 0.825; work motivation 0.810; and performance of guidance and counseling teachers 0.807. This research employs path analysis to gather information related to the study and test the relevant theories. The results of hypothesis testing indicate that the democratic leadership style of school principals, interpersonal communication, and work motivation have a positive influence on the performance of guidance and counseling teachers.

Abstract

This study explores the integration of digital technology and local wisdom in Indonesian poetry education through Telegram BOTs, reframed from a discourse analysis perspective. Conducted at SMA Negeri 1 Hamparan Perak, the study investigates how students engage with poetry that embodies the cultural values of the Deli Malay community using interactive Telegram-based learning modules. A mixed-methods approach was applied, combining tests, questionnaires, interviews, and classroom observations. Quantitative results show significant improvement in students’ literary understanding and creative writing skills. Qualitatively, students expressed higher interest and motivation when the content related to their heritage. From a discourse analysis viewpoint, the study highlights how Telegram BOTs act as narrative agents, delivering, structuring, and mediating meaning through localized poetic texts. Students' responses reveal not only improved comprehension but also an evolving use of cultural discourse, including metaphors, proverbs, and references to regional customs. The learning process became an interactive dialogue between digital technology and traditional values, fostering identity construction and reflective thinking. Teachers also used culturally rooted language frames to scaffold understanding, such as embedding moral themes in poetry discussions. This study recommends shifting poetry learning from merely structural analysis to discourse-sensitive methods, focusing on how language shapes thought, identity, and social cohesion. The findings suggest that culturally integrated BOTs are not only pedagogically effective but also discursively powerful tools for literacy and civic education in multicultural contexts.

Abstract

Di era digital, penyebaran berita palsu (hoaks) menjadi tantangan serius yang memengaruhi masyarakat, termasuk mahasiswa sebagai generasi muda yang aktif menggunakan teknologi. Literasi digital memainkan peran penting dalam membekali individu dengan kemampuan untuk mengenali dan menyaring informasi yang tidak valid. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis dampak literasi digital terhadap kemampuan mahasiswa Universitas Negeri Medan dalam mengidentifikasi berita palsu. Metode penelitian menggunakan pendekatan mixed methods, yaitu kuantitatif melalui survei dan tes kemampuan, serta kualitatif melalui wawancara mendalam dan observasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tingkat literasi digital mahasiswa masih bervariasi, dengan beberapa faktor seperti pendidikan formal dan intensitas penggunaan teknologi memengaruhi kemampuan mereka dalam mengenali hoaks. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini menegaskan pentingnya penguatan literasi digital sebagai strategi untuk meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis mahasiswa dalam menghadapi tantangan informasi di era digital.
