Abstract

AbstractThe use of media in mathematics learning can help students to learn more easily. One of them is educational game media. The study aims to describe the responses of junior high school students based on gender to learn mathematics by using educational game media. The subjects of this study were 7thand 8thgrade of junior high school students in Mataram-West Nusa Tenggara, a total of 101 students. Study data were obtained from a questionnaire about the use of educational games in mathematics classes. Study data processing using descriptive statistics, qualitative methods. The results of the study show that there are differences in responses between male and female students, towards: fun learning and increased motivation using media games and missions in educational games.Keywords: Edukasi, Game, Gender, MathematicsAbstrakPenggunaan media pada pembelajaran matematika dapat membantu siswa untuk lebih mudah belajar. Salah satunya media game edukasi. Adapun studi ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan tanggapan siswa SMP berdasarkan gender terhadap pembelajaran matematika dengan menggunakan media game edukasi. Subjek penelitianini adalah siswaSMP kelas 7 dan 8 di Mataram-Nusa Tenggara Barat sebanyak 101 siswa. Data studi diperoleh dari kuesioner tentang penggunaan game edukasi di kelas matematika.Pengolahan data studi menggunakan statistic deskriptif ,metode kualitatif. Hasil studi menunjukkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan tanggapan antara siswa laki-laki dan perempuan, terkait: pembelajaran yang menyenangkan dan motivasi yang meningkatdenganmenggunakan media game, serta misi pada game edukasi.Kata kunci: Education, Game, Gender, Matematika

Abstract

The Covid-19 explosion has changed all activities, including the learning process. The existence this pandemic makes all sectors try to find the best solution. This needs to be done so that all systems are well maintained. One solution during the pandemic is learning activities with online activities. Online learning without face to face certainly raises some problems. New activities make teachers and students must adapt to new learning conditions. In addition, various obstacles provide a paradigm that applying online learning is difficult. The difficulty of carrying out online learning is certainly not only felt by student but also teacher feel the same way. However, it is the teacher’s responsibility to address their difficulties and students’ difficulties. To determine an effective solution in overcoming students’ difficulties, further research is needed to determine the aspect that promote students’ difficulties in online learning. Through this survey research, researchers wanted to see how mathematics teacher’s perception about students’ difficulties when participating in online learning. Most teachers’ perceptions indicate that aspects of facilities and infrastructure, learning activities and environment are the main factors which promote students’ difficulties in online learning.Keywords: perception of athematics teacher, students’ difficulties, online learning

Abstract

Penelitian ini merupakan studi pengembangan yang bertujuan untuk merancang dan menguji bahan ajar bilingual Pengantar Dasar Matematika yang berfokus pada pendekatan unity of sciences dan local wisdom, dengan tujuan meningkatkan pemahaman konsep mahasiswa secara valid. Dengan menggunakan model pengembangan ADDIE, yang terdiri dari analisis, perancangan, pengembangan, implementasi, dan evaluasi. Hasil validasi dari empat ahli menunjukkan bahwa bahan ajar tersebut memenuhi kriteria validitas dengan skor rata-rata 4.1225. Dengan tingkat kepraktisan mencapai 82.14%, buku ajar ini juga dinilai praktis dengan rata-rata skor 3.28. Analisis tes pemahaman konsep menunjukkan peningkatan yang signifikan dari sebelum dan setelah penggunaan bahan ajar, dengan peningkatan sebesar 30.26%. Skor n-gain sebesar 0.304 menunjukkan peningkatan pemahaman yang sedang. Hasil ini menunjukkan bahwa bahan ajar bilingual Pengantar Dasar Matematika berbasis unity of sciences dan local wisdom efektif dalam meningkatkan pemahaman konsep mahasiswa. Secara keseluruhan, bahan ajar tersebut dianggap valid, praktis, dan efektif dalam meningkatkan pemahaman konsep mahasiswa.Kata Kunci: bahan ajar bilingual, unity of science, local wisdom

Abstract

The capacity to solve mathematical problems is an essential component of the professional abilities that pre-service instructors of mathematics are required to possess. When it comes to coping with technological advancements in the sphere of education, this skill serves as the foundation. For the purpose of enhancing one's capacity to solve mathematical problems, this study proposes an innovative method that involves the use of game-based educational entertainment media (GEM). Within the realm of development research, this research technique focuses on the ways in which problem-solving skills can be enhanced by participation in activities that are based on game-based entertainment media. The ADDIE phases—analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation—are the steps that are utilised in the process of development. The GEM was utilised by 94 pre-service mathematics teachers who participated in this research. GEM is effective in developing mathematical problem-solving skills, according to the findings of the research. This is accomplished by encouraging pre-service mathematics teachers to identify problems, model them, solve problems mathematically, and assess the results of their efforts.

Abstract

The urgency of this research arises from the absence of a statistics module based on the RME approach that integrates Islamic values, designed to help students understand mathematics contextually while instilling character values. This research is development research using the ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation and Evaluation) model which aims to produce a high school statistical module based on the RME approach integrated with Islamic values that meets valid and practical criteria. The subjects of this research were class X of SMAN 4 Semarang's students. The data collection technique used was a validation and practicality questionnaire. The validity instrument consists of a validation sheet for material expert, media, Islamic and practitioner modules, as well as a practical instrument, namely a student response questionnaire. Based on the results of validity and practicality tests, the statistical module based on the RME approach integrated with Islamic values that has been developed is valid and practical.

Abstract

Memiliki pengetahuan dan kemampuan berfikir adalah dua hal yang tidak dapat dipisahkan. Siswa tidak dapat mengembangkan kemampuan berpikir tanpa bahan pengetahuan, sebaliknya kemampuan berpikir akan memperkaya pengetahuan. Kemampuan berpikir dalam proses belajar matematika salah satunya adalah mengenai kemampuan siswa dalam memecahkan masalah matematika. Matematika merupakan konsep real, relasi atau operasi dan prinsip yang bersifat abstrak sehingga untuk memecahkan masalah tidak cukup hanya dengan pemahaman dasar tetapi dibutuhkan adanya proses berpikir yang tinggi. Bepikir analogi dalam menyelesaikan masalah matematika adalah aktifitas mental siswa dalam menyelesaikan masalah target menggunakan struktur relasional penyelesaian masalah sumber. Berpikir analogi dalam menyelesaikan masalah melibatkan berpikir untuk mengaitkan pengetahuan yang sudah pernah dialami dengan permasalahan yang akan diselesaikan. Beberapa hasil penelitian dan kajian teori menunjukkan bahwa berpikir analogi menjadi suatu hal yang penting dalam mengembangkan tingkat kemampuan berpikir siswa untuk memecahkan masalah.
