Abstract

The purpose of this study is to describe the learning outcomes of students with the application of Direct Instruction learning in making ribbon embroidery in class XI Clothing 2 SMKN 3 Kediri. This study is a descriptive quantitative study using a one-shot case study research design. This study was located at SMKN 3 Kediri City in the even semester of the 2023/2024 academic year. The population and sample used purposive sampling techniques totaling 30 students of class XI clothing 2. The research instrument used a learning outcome assessment rubric that had been set in the school curriculum. The data collection technique used ribbon embroidery outcome assessment. The data analysis technique used descriptive analysis. The results of the study showed that the learning outcomes of students applied to Direct Instruction learning had satisfactory results, as evidenced by the data on student learning outcomes in making ribbon embroidery with the application of Direct Instruction getting 100% of students completing the results from 30 students in class learning, which can be categorized into very good criteria.

Abstract

The media has a very important role in a learning and teaching activity. Media is divided into several types, including visual media, audio media, audio visual media, and all kinds of media. The media at Arva School of Fashion is often created and developed for use in workshops is prototype media. Prototypes media for materials or coloring topics using the dip dye technique at the Arva School of Fashion are not yet available. Related to this, a prototype media was made from material coloring using the dip dye technique which was applied to making character costumes. The purpose of making this prototype media is of course so that teaching and learning activities can easily achieve something you want, because the media is a good intermediary in communication. This media prototype development research uses the 4D model development method with descriptive data processing methods. The development method with the 4D model approach consists of Define, Design, Development, and Disseminate. The results of this study state the flow of the prototype development process and the results of the prototype.

Abstract

Modul merupakan salah satu media pembelajaran dalam satuan pendidikan di Indonesia. Penelitian ini bertujuan: 1) Mengetahui tingkat validitas modul persiapan pembuatan busana kebaya 2) Mengetahui respon siswa terhadap modul persiapan pembuatan busana kebaya 3) Mengetahui hasil belajar siswa setelah penerapan modul persiapan pembuatan busana kebaya. Jenis penelitaian yang digunakan oleh peneliti merupakan Research and Development (R&D) dengan pendekatan model ADDIE. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan oleh peneliti yakni validasi ahli, angket, dan penugasan. Teknik analisis data dengan menggunakan analisis deskriptif dengan menghitung rerata (mean) dan menghitung presentase ketuntasan siswa. Hasil penelitian menyatakan: 1) Tingkat validitas mencapai skor rata- rata 3,66 dengan kategori layak 2) Respon siswa mencapai skor rata-rata 4,54 dengan kategori sangat layak 3) Hasil belajar siswa mencapai tingkat ketuntasan 91% siswa dinyatakan tuntas.

Abstract

This research aims to demonstrate: (1) learning motivation, (2) knowledge of pant making, (3) the influence of providing practice questions on students' learning motivation, (4) the influence of providing practice questions on knowledge of making long pants, (5) the influence of providing practice questions on knowledge of making long pants moderated by learning motivation. The researcher used a quasi-experimental method with a nonequivalent control group design with a sample of two classes through purposive sampling techniques and instruments in the form of questionnaires and multiple-choice tests. The final results of the study show that students' learning motivation is at a high level in the control class at 71% and in the experimental class at 57%. Students' knowledge about making pants increased significantly after the treatment, where 89% of students in the experimental class achieved a good category compared to only 11% in the control class. Practice questions had an impact on improving students' knowledge, moderated by learning motivation, where highly motivated students showed optimal learning outcomes.

Abstract

This creative research aims to produce deluxe ready-to-wear fashion by elevating local culture into modern fashion designs that have aesthetic and exclusive value. The main focus of the creation is to enrich the variety of Indonesian culture-based fashion designs through a practice-led research approach. The traditional house of the Tengger Tribe was chosen as the main source of ideas because of its unique architectural form and the philosophical values contained therein, which are still rarely explored in the fashion world. The creation process consists of four stages, namely: exploration of the source of ideas, design, realization of the work, and presentation of the work. In the exploration stage, visual studies and literature studies were conducted regarding the visual characteristics and philosophy of the traditional house of the Tengger Tribe. Next, these ideas were translated into fashion designs with an artistic and functional approach. The resulting works are three ready-to-wear deluxe characters, consisting of two women's outfits and one men's outfit. The techniques used in the realization process include semi-couture and fabric manipulation with stylized embroidery applications that represent the architectural elements of the traditional Tengger house. The results of the work were presented in a theatrical fashion show with the theme "BHUMIBRAMA" held in the courtyard of the Rectorate of Surabaya State University. This performance showcases the synergy between fashion, local culture, and artistic expression, which not only presents visual aesthetics but also builds a cultural narrative about the cultural heritage of the Tengger Tribe through the medium of fashion.

Abstract

Vocational education plays a strategic role in preparing graduates to compete in the workforce, including in the fashion industry. As the fashion industry becomes increasingly complex, vocational high school graduates are expected to possess fashion illustration competencies that meet industry demands, one of which is the mastery of Technical Drawing Elements. This study aims to examine the relationship between learning outcomes in Technical Drawing Elements and work readiness as fashion illustrators among 11th-grade Fashion Design students at SMKN 1 Buduran Sidoarjo. The research employed a quantitative approach, with data collected through documentation of learning outcomes and a work readiness questionnaire, then analyzed using correlation techniques. The results indicate a positive and significant relationship between learning outcomes in Technical Drawing Elements and work readiness as fashion illustrators. These findings suggest that improved academic achievement can contribute to students’ work readiness, although other factors such as practical experience and psychological maturity also play a significant role. The implications of this study highlight the importance of industry involvement in strengthening students’ practical experience, as well as the need for more representative measurements of work readiness by involving alumni and employers to enhance student competencies in the field of fashion design.

Abstract

Technological developments have influenced various aspects of life, one of which is shopping methods. Consumers now have two main options for shopping: offline and online. Competition between offline and online stores is increasingly fierce, so it is important to understand the differences in consumer shopping interests in both methods. This study aims to identify whether there are significant differences in offline and online shopping interests and to measure the magnitude of these differences. The method used in this study is quantitative with a difference test approach. The study was conducted at SMK Negeri 3 Blitar with students from the Fashion Design and Production department as research subjects. The data collection technique was carried out using a questionnaire distributed to respondents. The collected data were then analyzed using a paired two-sample T-test to determine differences in shopping interests between offline and online. After that, the effect size calculation was carried out using Cohen's D to measure the magnitude of the existing differences. The results showed that there are significant differences in interest in offline and online shopping. The results of the T-test indicate a clear difference between these two shopping methods. Furthermore, the Cohen's D effect size analysis produced a value of -0.940, which indicates that the difference is in the large category. This means that Fashion Design and Production students at SMK Negeri 3 Blitar are more likely to have a higher interest in online shopping than offline shopping. This is due to the convenience and practicality of online shopping, where consumers do not need to come to a physical store to make a transaction. This study provides an overview of how shopping interest can be influenced by the ease of access offered by online shopping.

Abstract

Pelatihan hand painting pada remaja putri di desa Trosobo merupakan salah satu wujud dari peningkatan sumber daya manusia yang bertujuan untuk: 1) mendeskripsikan proses pelaksanaan pelatihan hand painting pada remaja putri di desa Trosobo 2) mendeskripsikan hasil jadi pelatihan hand painting pada remaja putri di desa TRosobo, dan 3) mengetahui respon peserta pelatihan hand painting pada remaja putri di desa Trosobo. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan yaitu pra eksperimen dengan tipe one shot case study. Pelatihan dilakukan di Balai RW 01 desa Trosobo dan diikuti oleh 30 peserta remaja putri. Metode pengumpulan data yang digunakan yaitu berupa observasi, penilaian produk dan angket. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan berupa lembar observasi kegiatan instruktur, lembar penilaian hasil jadi produk hand painting pada kaos cotton combed, dan lembar angket kuisioner. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan yaitu analisis deskriptif. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa: (1) Keterlaksanaan proses pelatihan aktivitas instruktur mendapatkan nilai rata-rata 3,8 dengan kategori sangat baik. (2) Hasil produk pelatihan berupa hand painting pada kaos cotton combed yang dibuat oleh peserta mendapatkan hasil sebanyak 90% peserta memperoleh nilai rata-rata 4 dengan kategori sangat baik dan 10% peserta mendapatkan nilai rata-rata 3 dengan kategori baik. (3) Respon peserta terhadap proses pelatihan hand painting mendapatkan nilai rata-rata 3,7 yang berarti sangat baik.
