Abstract

The existence of the Islamic boarding school education system in the modernization era is an effort and ability carried out by an Islamic boarding school to defend itself from the modernization era, in which many demands and needs of society have grown and developed. So Islamic boarding schools now have to adapt not only to the development of Islamic education but also to develop students in the world of education and non-education. At the Dar Faqih Qur'ani Islamic Boarding School which has been operating since 2021, this research tries to determine the efforts made by the Islamic boarding school to maintain the existence of an integrated Islamic boarding school education system in the era of modernization. To collect data in this research, qualitative descriptive methods were used, including observation, documentation and interviews. This research uses inductive data analysis techniques, namely analyzing data with a management model from specific to general, from which conclusions can be drawn about events that occurred at the research location. The results of this research explain that in the era of modernization, the Dar Faqih Qur'ani Islamic Boarding School in East Aceh in 2023 will have an integrated education system, namely, first: the Islamic boarding school education system at the Dar Faqih Integrated Islamic Boarding School in East Aceh, and second: the efforts made by the Dar Faqih Integrated Islamic Boarding School. Faqih in maintaining its existence in the Modernization Era.

Abstract

The implementation of education cannot be hindered by anyone and under any circumstances. Currently, many countries in the world experience obstacles and difficulties in implementing the education process. This is because the world or countries are experiencing the Covid-19 pandemic. So that it threatens various processes of implementing state programs, including the process of implementing education, the most effective thing at this time has been to try to implement the learning process using distance or online methods. Virtual learning mode is a popular method implemented today. Because with this method, students can stay at home, but still actively participate in the learning process. This study aims to determine. Does the adoption of virtual learning have any effect on the academic performance of Madrasah Ibtidaiyah (MI) students in Langsa town? This study is a quantitative study on the whole population including all students of 3 MIs of Langsa city, specifically Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Negeri 1 Langsa City, MI Negeri 2 Langsa City and Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Terpadu Langsa class V who are actively study during the school year of an even semester 2020/2021 Sampling was carried out using the corresponding stratified random sampling technique. Based on the research results, it was found that there was an influence of virtual learning on the academic performance of MI students in Langsa City during the Covid-19 period. This can be seen from the R Square value of 0.059, meaning the influence of the independent variable (virtual learning) on ​​the dependent variable (learning outcomes) is 5.9%.The remaining 94.1% were influenced by other factors not included in this study.The obtained significance value is 0.061 > 0.05, so it can be concluded that the virtual learning variable (X variable) does not have a significant effect on learning outcomes (Y variable).This means that virtual learning had a positive but insignificant impact on the academic performance of MI students in Langsa City during the Covid-19 period.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the impact of religious tourism visits to the graves of Islamic figures in Aceh, particularly in Peureulak, on students' understanding of the history of Islamic education. The method used is qualitative with a case study approach. Data were collected through observations, in-depth interviews, and questionnaires filled out by students after the visit. The results indicate that this visit significantly enhances students' interest in learning and their understanding of the history of Islamic education. Students reported profound spiritual and educational experiences, contributing to their awareness of the importance of Islamic education history within the cultural context of Aceh. Direct interaction with historical sites provides new perspectives, strengthening the connection between the theories learned in class and real-life practices. This research concludes that religious tourism can be an effective method for improving students' understanding of the history of Islamic education. It is hoped that these findings will encourage the integration of religious tourism experiences into the educational curriculum, enriching the learning process and inspiring the development of similar programs in other educational institutions to enhance the quality of education based on local cultural contexts.

Abstract

Keluarga merupakan lingkungan pertama dan utama bagi anak. Dalam suatu keluarga, orang tua memiliki peran yang paling besar dalam memberikan pengaruh pada aspek perkembangan anak. Setiap orang tua tentu mempunyai pola asuh terhadap anak yang berbeda-beda, seperti pola asuh otoriter, pola asuh demokratis, dan pola asuh permisif. Banyak orang tua yang kurang memahami tentang pola asuh positif pada anak usia dini. Adanya kegiatan seminar parenting ini akan menambah pemahaman orang tua terhadap pola asuh yang positif terhadap anak usia dini. Metode yang digunakan dalam pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini adalah diskusi seminar parenting tentang pemahaman orang tua terhadap pola asuh positif. Seminar parenting ini dilaksanakan di KB Islam Al Hidayah Kota Langsa. Hasil dari kegiatan seminar parenting ini adalah orang tua sudah cukup memahami tentang pola asuh positif bagi anak usia dini.

Abstract

The use of artificial intelligence (AI) in media creation and learning assessment of Natural and Social Sciences (IPAS) has a significant impact on the quality of learning. Using AI, innovative and exciting content can be created to improve learning quality. AI can also be used to make IPAS learning more interesting, interactive, and effective, such as the application of Augmented Reality-based technology and automatic online issue correction and real-time feedback. This material was featured in the International Commitment to the Community (PKM) activities carried out by the academic sharing community (KABA) in Takengon Central Aceh, Indonesia. The exposure of this material is expected to help teachers create innovative and exciting learning media by using AI in IPAS learning, especially in media creation and assessment. Using AI in IPAS learning is also expected to make learning more interesting, interactive, and effective as well as strengthen student character education. With dedication to the community, it is expected that the use of AI in learning IPAS can help improve the quality of education at the local and national levels.

Abstract

Empowering communities is key to strengthening local participation and voice, especially in areas facing socio-economic challenges. The purpose of this community dedication activity is to explore a multidisciplinary strategy in empowering communities in Songkhla, Thailand, which is part of the IMT-GT region. Through a qualitative approach, the study analyzes the challenges faced by communities at Songkhlas and identifies various effective empowerment strategies. The results show that its main challenges include the lack of natural resource protection, limited community capacity, and weak coordination among stakeholders. The recommended empowerment strategies include strengthening community capacities through training and support, enhanced partnership and coordination between stakeholder, and the protection of natural resources through environmentally-conscious policies. The findings in this activity highlight the importance of a multidimensional approach in empowering communities in border regions, by involving various stakeholders to inclusive and equitable development
