Abstract

Tujuan pelaksanaan kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini adalah memberikan sosialisasi kepada Masyarakat Desa Klambir V Kebun tentang pemberian tepung kulit ari kedelai olahan sebagai pakan unggas. Target khusus dari pelaksanaan kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini adalah pemberian tepung kulit ari kedelai olahan sebagai pakan unggas dapat mendukung pertumbuhan unggas khususnya ayam kampung. Kegiatan pelaksanaan pengabdian masyarakat ini diharapkan dapat memberikan alternatif penggunaan bahan pakan local yang murah dan mudah didapatkan oleh untuk menngkatkan pertumbuhan ayam kampung. Metode pelaksanaan pengabdian masyarakat ini dilakukan dengan metode ceramah dan praktek langsung pembuatan kulit ari kedelai yang direndam dengan filtrat air abu sekam dan praktek langsung pembuatan kulit ari kedelai yang direndam dengan filtrat air abu sekam pada ayam kampung. Hasil pengabdian masyarakat ini adalah peternak ayam kampung yang ada di Desa Klambir V Kebun sangat tertarik dan antusias dengan pelatihan tentang pemberian tepung kulit ari kedelai yang diolah dengan filtrate air abu sekam untuk pertumbuhan ayam kampung.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of appropriate urea fertilizer on the growth of odot grass (Pennisetum purpureum). This study used a non-factorial Randomized Block Design (CRD) consisting of 4 treatments and 6 replications. The treatments given were:P0 = Without urea fertilizer (control), P1 = Urea fertilizer 5 grams/100 ml of water/plant, P2 = Urea fertilizer 10 grams/100 ml of water/plant, P3 = Urea fertilizer 15 grams/100 ml of water/plant. The response of Odot grass to several concentrations of urea fertilizer by dissolving urea fertilizer in 100 ml of water that was watered for each treatment and with each treatment dose. Fertilization was carried out 2 times until harvest at one week after planting and 3 weeks after planting (wap). The parameters observed were height growth, stem diameter, number of tillers and fresh forage production. Observations for grass height at 2, 4, and 6 weeks after planting, while for the number of tillers and stem diameter were carried out before harvest (40 days after planting) and fresh forage production was carried out at harvest by weighing each different plot after cutting. Data from the research results were analyzed statistically, if the test was significantly different and continued with testing using DMRT.The results of the research from the data that had been analyzed against the observed parameters from the influence of several concentrations of urea fertilizer use were significantly different (p <0.05), with the results that the higher the concentration of urea fertilizer used, the higher the growth and fresh production.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of the type and number of sheep on economic development in Batang Sarangan District. The research method used is a direct survey method to the location or pen used as the object by collecting primary and secondary data. Primary data collection was carried out by direct observation and interviews with farmers as well as recording the existence of types and numbers and other information on each sheep farmer. Data obtained from the research field used analysis with the excel application. The collected data were analyzed using descriptive statistical analysis and the analysis results were displayed. The analysis method used in this study was the livestock condition census method for each farmer. Farmers are classified into 3 groups of farmers consisting of 1. Farmers who have > 30 sheep. 2. Farmers who have > 30 sheep and < 60 sheep and 3. Farmers who have > 60 sheep.The results obtained that farmers who have livestock > 60 (C) get greater profits and with the highest R/C with an average R/C = 2.23 and so on the smaller the number of sheep and the smaller the profit and R/C

Abstract

This study aims to examine the effect of applying various doses of compost fertilizer on the growth and production of dwarf elephant grass (Pennisetum purpureum cv. Mott) as animal feed. This study used a non-factorial Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with five doses of compost treatments (0 kg, 0.5 kg, 1 kg, 1.5 kg, and 2 kg per plot) and five replications. Parameters observed included stem diameter, plant height, number of tillers, leaf length, and fresh and dry forage production. The data obtained was tested by Analysis of Variance (ANOVA), followed by the Smallest Real Difference (SRD) test at a confidence level of 95%. The results showed that compost application had a significant effect (p<0,05) on all growth parameters of dwarf elephant grass. The compost dose of 2 kg/plot gave the best results with significant increases in stem diameter, plant height, number of tillers, leaf length, and fresh and dry forage production. In conclusion, the use of compost fertilizer is an effective alternative to increase the productivity of dwarf elephant grass in a sustainable manner.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis karakteristik morfometrik ternak entok (Cairina moschata) di Kecamatan Amandraya, Kabupaten Nias Selatan, Provinsi Sumatera Utara. Pengukuran morfometrik dilakukan terhadap populasi entok jantan dan betina dewasa untuk mengetahui perbedaan karakteristik fisik antara kedua jenis kelamin tersebut. Parameter yang diukur meliputi panjang leher, panjang paruh, panjang badan, panjang tulang sayap, panjang paha (femur), panjang tibia, panjang shank (tarsometatarsus), panjang jari ketiga, dan bobot badan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa rata-rata ukuran morfometrik entok jantan lebih besar dibandingkan entok betina pada semua parameter yang diukur. Perbedaan signifikan terlihat pada panjang leher (jantan: 16,37±1,22 cm; betina: 10,31±1,08 cm), panjang badan (jantan: 25,74±0,82 cm; betina: 21,88±1,20 cm), dan panjang sayap (jantan: 27,70±1,26 cm; betina: 23±1,07 cm). Penelitian ini memberikan informasi dasar mengenai karakteristik morfometrik entok di Kecamatan Amandraya yang dapat digunakan untuk program konservasi dan pengembangan genetik ternak entok lokal di masa mendatang

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of several types of livestock urine on the growth and production of king grass (Pennisetum purpureophoides). This research design uses a non-factorial Randomized Group Design (RAK) consisting of 4 treatments and 6 replicates. P0 : King grass (using soil media), P1: King grass (using soil media + goat urine liquid fertilizer), P2: King grass (using soil media + cow urine liquid fertilizer) and P3: King grass (using soil media + buffalo urine liquid fertilizer). The response of king grass to several types of livestock urine in soil media by applying to king grass plants in 5% livestock urine which is sprinkled around the grass for each treatment using 100 ml of each king grass stem. The application of POC was carried out the first fertilization after 2 weeks after planting and was carried out 3 times with an interval of 2 weeks until harvest. The parameters observed were height growth, stem diameter, number of tillers and fresh and dry forage production. Observations for grass height at 2, 4, 6 and 8 mst, while for the number of tillers and stem diameter were carried out before harvest (40 hst) and fresh forage production was carried out at harvest by weighing after cutting for each different plot then each fresh weight treatment plot was dried to get dry weight production. Data from the results of the study were analyzed statistically, if in the test there were significantly different results (p <0.05) then it would be continued with testing using DMRT. The results showed that the use of POC from the urine of several livestock showed significantly different (p<0.05) on the growth of plant height, stem diameter, number of tillers and fresh and dry forage production. The best use of liquid organic fertilizer from this study was obtained in treatment P1 (soil media + goat urine liquid fertilizer).

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of liquid organic fertilizer (POC) and the height of the first cutting and the interaction on the growth and fresh weight of pakchong grass (Pennisetum purpureum cv Thailand L.), as well as to determine the effect of different first cutting heights on the growth and fresh weight of pakchong grass (Pennisetum Purpureum cv Thailand L). The design is to use a factorial Randomized Group Design (RAK) consisting of 2 factors, namely the first factor consists of 2 levels, namely T1 (one internode) and T2 (2 internodes), the second factor consists of 3 levels, namely P0 (control), P1 (POC Hantu), P2 (POC Vio), with 6 treatment combinations and 4 replicates. Fertilization using POC at a dose of 0.5% sprayed on plants at 2, 3 and 4 weeks after planting (mst). The observation parameters were height growth, stem diameter, number of tillers and fresh and dry forage production. Observations for grass height at 2, 4, and 6 mst, while for the number of tillers and stem diameter were done before harvest (40 hst) and fresh forage production was done at harvest. Data were analyzed statistically, if in the test there is a real difference then it will be continued with testing using DMRT. The results of the research on the parameters observed from the effect of some POC usage with the results of the effect of cutting length differed not significantly (p>0.05) to the diameter and number of tillers, significantly different (p<0.05) to production. The highest results of using POC Hantu (P1) for fresh weight and dry weight. There is no interaction but the best wet and dry weight production is P2T1.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penambahan bubuk bunga rosella dengan konsentrasi berbeda terhadap kualitas organoleptik kefir susu kambing. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptif dengan 4 perlakuan dan 5 ulangan. Perlakuan terdiri dari P0 (kontrol 0%), P1 (5%), P2 (10%), dan P3 (15%) bubuk bunga rosella. Parameter yang diamati meliputi rasa, aroma, dan tekstur melalui uji organoleptik. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penambahan bubuk bunga rosella memberikan pengaruh signifikan terhadap karakteristik organoleptik kefir susu kambing, dengan perlakuan P2 (10%) memberikan hasil terbaik pada semua parameter yang diuji

Abstract

Rumput merupakan pakan utama bagi ternak ruminansia yang memiliki peran penting dalam kelangsungan hidup dan produktivitas ternak. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan produktivitas rumput Pakchong (Pennisetum purpureum cv. Thailand) melalui pemanfaatan pupuk kandang sebagai sumber hara alami yang berasal dari limbah ternak. Penelitian menggunakan Rancangan Acak Kelompok (RAK) non faktorial dengan empat perlakuan dan enam ulangan, yaitu K0 (kontrol tanpa pupuk), K1 (pupuk kandang sapi), K2 (pupuk kandang kambing), dan K3 (pupuk kandang ayam), masing-masing dosis 1 kg/m². Pemupukan dilakukan satu minggu sebelum penanaman. Parameter yang diamati meliputi tinggi tanaman, jumlah anakan, panjang daun, berat segar, dan berat kering. Hasil analisis statistik menunjukkan bahwa perlakuan pupuk kandang memberikan pengaruh berbeda nyata (p<0,05) terhadap seluruh parameter. Pupuk kandang ayam (K3) memberikan hasil terbaik dibandingkan perlakuan lainnya, diikuti oleh pupuk kambing (K2), sedangkan pupuk sapi (K1) menunjukkan hasil terendah. Hasil ini menunjukkan bahwa jenis pupuk kandang mempengaruhi pertumbuhan dan hasil rumput Pakchong. Selain itu, peningkatan konsentrasi EM4 juga mendukung peningkatan performa tanaman secara keseluruhan

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penambahan daun kelor (Moringa oleifera) terhadap kualitas organoleptik bakso yang dibuat dengan berbagai jenis daging. Penelitian menggunakan rancangan acak lengkap dengan 4 perlakuan yaitu kontrol tanpa daging (P0), bakso daging sapi + daun kelor (P1), bakso daging kambing + daun kelor (P2), dan bakso daging ayam + daun kelor (P3). Parameter yang diamati meliputi warna, aroma, tekstur, dan rasa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penambahan daun kelor memberikan pengaruh nyata (P<0,01) terhadap aroma dan rasa bakso, namun tidak berpengaruh nyata terhadap warna dan tekstur. Bakso daging ayam dengan daun kelor (P3) menunjukkan penerimaan terbaik untuk parameter aroma dan rasa
