Abstract

This paper discusses the potential of using Aloe vera extract cream with various formulas, including the incorporation of Virgin Coconut Oil (VCO) as a cream base, for burn wound healing. The study aims to investigate the healing effects of second-degree burn wounds in mice using Aloe vera extract cream with different formulas. Phytochemical analysis identified the presence of phenols, tannins, and saponins in the Aloe vera extract. The results of the wound healing tests indicate that Aloe vera extract creams with different formulas have the potential to accelerate healing, with a healing time range of 8 to 14 days. Formulas containing VCO as a cream base showed faster healing, likely due to the medium-chain saturated fatty acid content in VCO that supports tissue regeneration. Aloe vera extract also possesses cleansing and antiseptic properties that can prevent infections in wounds. Although healing times varied among the different formulas, the main conclusion is that Aloe vera extract creams have the potential to support the healing of second-degree burn wounds.

This study aims to evaluate the effect of online gambling on mental health in a group of teenagers in Panimbang District, Banten. The research was conducted to understand the impact of online gambling activities on the mental well-being of teenagers, focusing on factors such as stress, anxiety, depression and impulsive behavior. Survey and interview methods were used to collect data from selected samples, which included teenagers aged 15-19 years who were involved in online gambling activities. The results of this research indicate that engaging in online gambling has a negative impact on the mental health of adolescents in Panimbang District. Respondents who were involved in online gambling tended to experience higher levels of stress and anxiety than those who were not involved. Apart from that, the level of depression was also found to be higher in the group of teenagers who were involved in online gambling. This research also shows a positive correlation between online gambling activities and impulsive behavior. Teenagers who engage in online gambling tend to exhibit higher levels of impulsive behavior, which can impact their decisions in everyday life. These findings underscore the importance of awareness of the negative impact of online gambling on adolescent mental health. Preventive and intervention steps need to be taken to reduce the risk of these negative impacts.

Abstract

This research discusses the role of the Indonesian Broadcasting Commission (KPI) in facing the challenges of digitization of broadcast media in Indonesia. KPI has the authority to make broadcast program standards and broadcasting code of conduct and supervise their implementation, including sanctioning violations. In the context of media digitization, KPI's role is crucial in ensuring that television shows do not only display the culture of consumerism, but also provide educational content that is beneficial to society. However, the implementation of digitalization does not come without obstacles. One of them is the readiness of the majority of television viewers who still use analog devices. In addition, there are technical obstacles such as broadcast interruptions and the need for special skills in operating digital devices. Nonetheless, digitization of broadcast media has many advantages, such as efficient use of frequencies and improved picture and sound quality. In facing these challenges, a joint effort is needed between KPI, broadcasters, and the public. KPI needs to continue developing appropriate regulations to support responsible and ethical digitization. In addition, broadcasters must improve their shows to not only follow the trend of consumerism, but also provide content that educates and benefits. Improving human resources in operating digital technology is also important. This research underscores the importance of KPI's role in guiding the transformation of broadcast media into the digital era, while still ensuring that the content presented is useful and in accordance with the values upheld by Indonesian society.

Abstract

This research focuses on advertising effectiveness by considering three key variables, namely advertising creativity, message quality, and viewing frequency. The main objective of the study is to assess the influence of these advertising effectiveness variables, which include Advertising Creativity, Message Quality, and frequency views, on consumer purchase intention. In addition, this study also aims to identify which variables are dominant in influencing consumer purchase intentions. This study uses the Multiple Linear Regression analysis method with the help of SPSS software version 22.0. The research population consists of students of Universitas Perjuangan who have watched Mi Indomie television advertisements at least 3 times. The research sample consisted of 170 respondents selected using non-probability sampling technique with accidental sampling method, namely by distributing questionnaires as a data collection tool. The results showed that the variables of advertising creativity, message quality, and frequency of ad viewing have a positive and significant influence on consumer buying interest. The results of the analysis also indicate that the advertising creativity variable is the most dominant variable in influencing consumer buying interest. Thus, this study provides further understanding of how advertising effectiveness, especially through improving advertising creativity, message quality, and frequency of ad serving, can increase consumer purchase intention. These findings can be a valuable guide for advertising and marketing practitioners in designing more effective advertising campaigns.

Abstract

The industrial era 4.0 has brought significant changes in people's lives, with the rapid development of technology and information, as well as the important role of social media such as Instagram in digitalization changes. Freedom of expression on these platforms is becoming increasingly important, but also increasingly complex. Freedom of expression is a basic right of every individual which is included in Human Rights (HAM). However, this concept is not absolute and is always accompanied by certain responsibilities and obligations. Laws and statutory regulations stipulate that freedom of expression must be exercised by complying with ethical norms, laws, and other individual rights and freedoms. Freedom of expression also plays an important role in the world of the internet and social media. The internet has become a platform that allows individuals to express themselves without physical limitations, with almost limitless potential. Social media such as Instagram allows users to share creative content, in the form of photos, videos and text. However, users must use this freedom wisely and responsibly. They have complete control over their uploads, with a privacy settings feature that allows them to control who can access their content. Social media should not regulate individual ethics and behavior, but rather give individuals the right and obligation to use the platform wisely. Thus, freedom of expression on social media such as Instagram requires awareness of individual responsibility in carrying it out. By obeying the rules, norms and rights of other people, this freedom can be exercised well without harming anyone and still strengthening the social norms that apply in society.

Abstract

Stunting is still a national health problem in Indonesia, and one of the contributing factors is the lack of exclusive breastfeeding practices. This research aims to analyze the factors that influence the practice of exclusive breastfeeding in Tasikmalaya City, West Java. The case-control method was used in this research involving 4 Community Health Centers in Tasikmalaya City. Data was collected from mothers with children aged 6-12 months who were exclusively breastfed and those who were not exclusively breastfed. The research results show that husband's support has a significant influence on the success of exclusive breastfeeding practices. Apart from that, maternal knowledge also influences the perception of breast milk insufficiency. Other factors such as IMD practices and media exposure did not show a significant relationship. Re-socialization efforts are needed regarding the importance of exclusive breastfeeding, increasing mothers' knowledge, as well as actively involving fathers' groups in programs to increase exclusive breastfeeding.
