Abstract

This research illustrates the importance of introducing the concept of income and expenditure at an early age by presenting simple, relevant examples. The introduction of income, such as a weekly allowance from parents, helps children understand the meaning of effort in earning money, develops financial decision-making skills, and builds discipline. Positive impacts include a better understanding of financial concepts and growing financial independence, despite potential wasteful habits and dependence on parents. On the other hand, the introduction of expenses, such as buying snacks or toys, helps children learn to choose between different options, understand the value of money, and be responsible for their spending. It also strengthens financial decision-making skills and awareness of financial priorities, although it can lead to wasteful habits and lack of awareness about saving for the future. In conclusion, early financial literacy education has a key role in shaping children's understanding of finance, financial values, and wise financial management practices, which will help them face future financial challenges and build a more stable financial foundation, while creating a strong foundation for healthy financial understanding within the family.

Abstract

Tug of war is a folk game that uses a mining tool (rope). How to play a team with 2 teams facing each other. Each team consists of 3 or more people, who face each other holding the mine to be pulled. This tug-of-war competition activity is to train body strength, teamwork and cohesiveness. Once the second mark on the rope from the center red mark crosses the center line, the team that pulls the rope to their area wins the game. In this tug of war game there are many styles, including: Frictional Force, Tensile Force, Gravitational Force, and Muscular Force. This paper aims to study the physical forces of tug of war with a mathematical model based on the physical phenomena that exist in the game of tug of war. This model is created by considering tug of war as two objects connected by a rope. The analysis is done by considering the forces acting in the model. The results show that if after being pulled with a force F, the object moves to the right with an acceleration of a, then the acceleration of the object is based on the equation of motion according to Newton's law.

Abstract

This study analyzes the optimal portfolio formation of health sector stocks listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange using the Markowitz approach with dual risk parameters. Unlike traditional mean-variance optimization, this research incorporates both risk aversion (ρ) and risk tolerance (τ) parameters to better accommodate varying investor risk preferences. Using daily closing price data from six health sector stocks during the period January 2022 to December 2023, this study employs web scraping techniques for data collection and implements portfolio optimization calculations. The results show that the dual risk parameters approach produces consistent portfolio weights across both risk measures, with SIDO.JK receiving the highest allocation (approximately 41.6%) followed by SOHO.JK (23.0%) and SILO.JK (16.9%). The efficient frontier analysis demonstrates portfolio risk ranges from 0.015 to 0.030 with returns between 0.10% to 0.45%. This study contributes to the literature by demonstrating how incorporating dual risk parameters can provide more nuanced portfolio allocations while maintaining the fundamental benefits of diversification.

Abstract

Stock price prediction is a crucial aspect in the financial world, especially in making investment decisions. This study aims to analyze the performance of the Gated Recurrent Unit (GRU) model in predicting Bank Mandiri (BMRI.JK) stock prices using historical data for five years. Stock data was collected from Yahoo Finance and normalized using Min-Max Scaling to improve model stability. Furthermore, the windowing technique was applied to form a dataset that fits the architecture of the time series forecasting-based model. The developed GRU model consists of two GRU layers with 128 neuron units, two dropout layers to prevent overfitting, and one output layer with one neuron to predict stock prices. Model evaluation was carried out using the Mean Squared Error (MSE), Root Mean Squared Error (RMSE), Mean Absolute Error (MAE), Mean Absolute Percentage Error (MAPE), and R-squared (R² Score) metrics. The experimental results show that the GRU model is able to produce predictions with a high level of accuracy, indicated by the R² Score value of 0.9636, which indicates that the model can explain 96.36% of stock price variability based on historical data.

Abstract

The extent of the terrorist network in Indonesia threatens the threat and integrity of the Republic of Indonesia, manifested in broad trends, organization and systematic networks. Terrorist attacks are increasingly brutal, targeting innocent civilians. The threat is increasingly complex with increasing radicalization and online recruitment, requiring comprehensive action, including cooperation with government agencies, security forces, intelligence, and civil society, as well as a comprehensive approach involving intelligence, community participation, and addressing the root causes of radicalization to eradicate terrorist networks . Eradicating criminal acts of terrorism is a serious challenge for the Indonesian government, with one of the complicated aspects being the implementation of the death penalty against perpetrators of terrorism. This article analyzes Indonesian criminal policy, explains the method of punishment, the Human Rights (HAM) perspective, and critical views on the death penalty. In conclusion, it is important to strike a balance between efforts to enforce the death law and the desire for the principles of human rights and justice in the context of eradicating terrorism. Continuous evaluation of the application of the death law and open dialogue involving various parties are the keys to reaching an agreement that upholds humanitarian values and justice in efforts to overcome criminal acts of terrorism in Indonesia.

Abstract

The revision of the Electronic Information and Transactions Law (UU ITE) in Indonesia has become a hot topic of debate. Institutions and activists such as the Institute for Criminal Justice Reform (ICJR) and the Press Legal Aid Institute (LBH Pers) have presented various arguments regarding the impact of these changes. This article outlines the five main arguments advanced by the ICJR and LBH Pers. First, there is an objection to Article 27 paragraph (3) which regulates insults and defamation. Second, changes in criminal procedural law raise concerns about the discretionary authority of law enforcement officials without involving the courts. Third, the addition of cyberbullying-related crimes raises concerns about the potential for over-criminalization. Fourth, governments are given additional powers to filter and block content, which can result in potential abuse. Finally, the fifth argument relates to the "right to be forgotten" clause which can be used as a tool of censorship against news publications and journalists about one's past. This article also examines the impact of information technology developments on computer crime and underscores the importance of protecting individual rights and free speech in the digital age.
