Abstract

With the crisis in fuel consumption, it is necessary to save fuel consumption by selecting fuel that is quite efficient. The aim of the research is to examine the fuel consumption patterns of vehicles in an area that experiences various weathers so as to determine the level of efficiency of fuel use. both from the factor of fuel type, distance, speed, temperature, to the weather. testing was carried out using the linear model technique, the Linear Mixed effect model, and the Anova mathematical model. The results of the analysis if the different types of fuel have a very large significant effect in influencing the fuel consumption of a vehicle. With all the approaches analyzed from the linear mix model, analysis of variance and linear mix random effect model, the results show that other independent variables such as average speed, distance traveled and ambient temperature do not have much effect on fuel consumption. Based on modeling results that has been done, it can be identified if fuel consumption is strongly influenced by the type of fuel used by the vehicle. Meanwhile, other variables such as vehicle mileage, average speed, and ambient temperature at the time of data collection did not show any significant effect on fuel consumption.

Abstract

Women are becoming more active in the defense industry. Since the morphology of the female body differs from that of the male during military activities, it is required to modify personal protection equipment to accommodate the female body shape. According to a literature review, a survey of a sample of female soldiers from different nations revealed that they felt the impacts of breast soreness when running, as well as a sense of "distorted breasts" and breathing difficulties. The woman's petite frame and the bulky, hefty bulletproof jacket both draw criticism for their respective dimensions. Using 3D design technology, a female mannequin with a 95B breast size was scanned in order to create a bullet-proof vest that is tailored to the contour of a woman's body. Changes in the breast's contour, which affect changes in the surface point parameters, result in adaptive breasts. Utilizing a combination of carbon fiber and 16 percent HGM epoxy, bullet-proof vests can be modified to provide lightweight dimensions and have the benefit of good ballistic resistance. This results in a material that is 20 mm for thick, 1,348 kg in weight, and capable of absorbing 348.27 Joules of energy from bullets. The results of this research are not optimal, so developments are needed in further research.

Abstract

One of the subjects in the 8th grade merdeka curriculum is natural science (IPA). Science is involved in education in a variety of ways, from the simple to the complex, from the unclear or abstract to concrete solutions to problems. In an effort to teach students science skills in Phase D science subjects, this research aims to develop a hybrid project-based PJBL (PJBL) module. The method used in this research is Research and Development (R&D) with quantitative descriptive data analysis techniques which consist of several stages, namely needs analysis, module design, expert validation, field trials, and product revision. This research was carried out at MTsN 3 Kediri, with class VIII students. The conclusion of this research is that the project based learning hybrid mode module is very suitable to be used to improve students' science skills based on student response questionnaires and validation by experts that have been carried out.

Abstract

Osteoporosis is a common metabolic disease that is frequently overlooked. This disease primarily affects adult women and causes bone thinness and fragility, which leads to fractures. DXA (Dual Energy X-ray Absorptiometry) is used to diagnose osteoporosis by measuring bone mineral density. These devices are expensive and not widely available for treatment. This study aimed to find a correlation between the texture value of an image of the patellar bone and the density of the lumbar spine, which can then be used to detect osteoporosis. This study's sample size was 19 subjects, and their bone mineral density (BMD) was measured using DXA. An X-ray was then taken to obtain an image of the genu bone. The stages of the research are as follows: 1) preparing the X-ray image of the bone; 2) determining the image texture value method of gray level co-occurrence matrix 3) investigating the relationship between texture values and BMD in the lumbar spine. The correlation test results revealed a statistically significant correlation between the texture value and the BMD of the lumbar spine for the correlation and variance characteristics (P less than 0.05). As a result, the value of the texture of the image of the patella bone can be used to detect osteoporosis.

Abstract

The PID controller's optimized tuning improves the control system's functionality. This work presented the tuning of the PID/FOPID controller by the conventional Ziegler-Nichols (ZN) method and the Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO) algorithm. The PID controller is the most popular in the industry because it is simple to implement, has good computing ability, and provides a robust system. These methods are implemented on the DC servomotor system to optimize the transient responses like rise time (??), settling time (??), and peak overshoot (??) to get a better result. The PID controller tuned by the conventional ZN method gives a longer settling time, a longer rise time, and a higher peak overshoot. The PSO algorithm is utilized to overcome the significant overshoot and considerable settling time obtained in the conventional Ziegler-Nichols method. Analyzing and comparing the MATLAB simulation results, it is observed that PSO algorithms provide a better-optimized response over the ZN method with FOPID controller in respect of less rise time (?? =0.0392 sec.), less settling time (??=0.0605 sec.) and peak overshoot (??=1.92 percent). The results obtained by the proposed controller provide better reliability and better response.
