Abstract

Hallucinations are perceptual disorders where the patient perceives something that is not actually happening. An application of the five senses without any external stimulation. An appreciation experienced by a perception through the five senses without external stimulus: False perception. In contrast to illusions where the patient experiences a wrong perception of the stimulus, misperceptions in hallucinations occur without any external stimulus occurring. Internal stimuli are perceived as something that actually exists by the patient. The aim of this research is to gain real experience in providing nursing care to patients with auditory hallucinations, it is hoped that they will be able to identify all problems that occur in connection with hallucinations. The methods used in writing this paper are the library method, interview method and observation method. The results of the research showed that the nursing problems found were in the case of patients with auditory hallucinations based on the theory that there were three nursing diagnoses, namely: Risk of harm to self, others and the environment related to auditory hallucinations; Changes in sensory perception: auditory hallucinations related to withdrawal; Impaired social interactions: Withdrawal is associated with low self-esteem. The conclusion is that hallucinations often occur in schizophrenia patients with nursing problems of low self-esteem and/or withdrawal.

Abstract

ARI cases dominate globally morbidity and mortality rates. ARI prevalence is increasing annually in the Padang city. This study aims to determine the determinants of the incidence of ARI in the Pauh Public Health Center. A quantitative study using a cross-sectional design was used. From October to December 2022, 141 mothers having children under five years took part in this study. Purposive sampling was used to collect the sample. Data was gathered using a structured questionnaire and analyzed univariately and bivariate using the chi-square test. The results showed that 64.5% of mothers were at risk, and more than half were at low educational and economic levels (71,6%) and (51,1%). There is a significant relationship between smoking habits (p=0.00; PR=1.53), immunization status (p=0.00; PR=1.80), and level of mother’s knowledge (p=0 .00; PR=1.68) with the incidence of ARI in children under five years. ARI in children under five years was significantly associated with smoking habits, immunization status and mother’s knowledges. It is hoped that family members, especially parents, will be more involved in their children's health and development, and that health workers can regularly educate the public about maternal and child health, especially ARI prevention, through various media and activate health cadres.

Abstract

The coverage of tetanus toxoid immunization in pregnant women in West Sumatra in 2022 was still below the target, at 69.9%, with a goal of 90%. Among the 23 community health centers (Puskesmas) in Padang City, Dadok Tunggul Hitam Community Health Center had the lowest tetanus toxoid immunization coverage (15.72%), far below the target of 90%. The aim of this study is to identify the factors associated with the completeness of tetanus toxoid immunization in pregnant women at Dadok Tunggul Hitam Community Health Center in 2024. This is a quantitative study with an analytical approach and a cross-sectional study design. The research was conducted at Dadok Tunggul Hitam Community Health Center in Padang from March to August 2024. Data collection took place from May 13 to May 28, 2024. The population consisted of all third-trimester pregnant women, totaling 221, with a sample of 69 respondents. The sampling technique used was accidental sampling. The data were analyzed univariately in the form of frequency distribution and bivariately using the Chi-Square statistical test. The results showed that more than half of the pregnant women, 37 respondents (53.6%), had incomplete tetanus toxoid immunization. Less than half, 31 respondents (44.9%), had low knowledge. More than half, 44 respondents (63.8%), lacked family support, and less than half, 18 respondents (41.9%), perceived that healthcare workers played a minimal role. There is a significant relationship between knowledge level, family support, and the role of healthcare workers with the completeness of tetanus toxoid immunization in pregnant women at Dadok Tunggul Hitam Community Health Center in Padang in 2024.In conclusion, knowledge, family support, and the role of healthcare workers are associated with the completeness of tetanus toxoid immunization. It is hoped that healthcare providers, particularly nurses, will improve basic immunization services by providing information to pregnant women through health education sessions and distributing leaflets or posters about tetanus toxoid immunization.

Abstract

Education is a key factor in improving the quality of human resources. However, accessibility to education for underprivileged children still faces various barriers, both economic, social, and geographical. This community service activity aims to provide an alternative solution to increase educational accessibility through learning assistance programs, the provision of supporting facilities, and the empowerment of parents to support their children's education. The method used is a participatory approach, where the community is actively involved in the planning, implementation, and evaluation of the activity. The results of the activity indicate an increase in children's learning motivation, the availability of simple learning resources, and increased parental awareness of the importance of education. This program is expected to become a sustainable model for increasing access to education for underprivileged children.
