Abstract

The economy is a very important thing in a country, the success of the State in controlling its economic activities can be seen in the country's economic growth rate. The purpose of this study is to determine the influence of the development index of information communication technology and E-commerce on economic growth in Indonesia. This study aims to demonstrate the impact of the correlation between the Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Development Index and E-Commerce on economic growth and increase understanding of the influence of developments in the ICT and E-Commerce domains on Indonesia's economic expansion. The variables in this study are the development index of communication, information technology, and E-commerce as independent variables and economic growth as the dependent variable. The type of research used is quantitative research with panel data analysis using the EViews10 application with the Fixed Effect Model (FEM) method. The population and sample in this study are time series data for 3 years and cross-section data for 34 provinces in Indonesia. The results show that the Information Communication Technology Development Index has a significant effect on Indonesia's economic growth in 2019-2021 which shows the direction of positive influence and E-Commerce (the percentage of businesses doing e-commerce) has a significant effect on economic growth, but shows the direction of negative influence. The impact of this research demonstrates the importance of allocating investments and policies to advance ICT development in Indonesia, which requires allocating government resources to initiatives such as infrastructure upgrades, digital literacy programs, and supportive regulatory frameworks. In addition, the research also highlights the potential to foster more inclusive economic growth through improving access to ICT tools, empowering marginalized communities, and addressing regulatory barriers to facilitate e-commerce growth in Indonesia.

Abstract

Prevalence of Undernourishment (PoU) is an indicator that measures the achievement of the 2nd goal of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) agenda. Ideally, Indonesia as an agricultural country is able to guarantee the availability of food supplies and people's access to nutritious food products becomes easier. However, since 2018-2022 the prevalence of undernourishment (PoU) in Indonesia has continued to increase from year to year. Therefore, this study aims to determine the factors that influence the level of Prevalence of Undernourishment (PoU) in Indonesia through food expectations, producer price index, food security budget, people's purchasing power and social assistance in the food sector. The novelty of this research is to try to trace the relationship between the dimensions of food quality, fiscal policy, price policy and people's purchasing power to the prevalence of undernourishment in Indonesia. To achieve this goal, a multiple regression analysis method was used with secondary data from 2011-2022 or the period before and after the implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) agenda in Indonesia. The results of the study show that the producer price index, food security budget and people's purchasing power have a significant effect on the level of Prevalence of Undernourishment (PoU) in Indonesia. Meanwhile, food expectations and social assistance in the food sector have no significant effect on the level of Prevalence of Undernourishment (PoU) in Indonesia. Implication of this research, the government needs to evaluate various food security programs in order to maximize the reduction of the prevalence of undernourishment (PoU) in Indonesia.

Abstract

Tapandullu Beach, located in Mamuju Regency, is a stunning tourist destination, renowned for its outstanding natural beauty. With its fine white sand and crystal clear waters, the beach is an ideal choice for visitors seeking a tranquil and relaxing nature experience. Around the beach, a number of MSME players are trying to capitalize on the existing tourism potential. They offer a variety of specialty products, ranging from local food to handicrafts that reflect regional culture. These businesses not only add value for visitors, but also contribute to the economic growth of the local community. However, challenges cannot be ignored. MSME players must compete with products from outside that often have better variety and quality. This study examines the management strategies of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in facing global competition, with a sharia-based approach. Sharia Enterprise Theory (SET) is used to understand the sharia-based approach. The method used is Focus Group Discussion (FGD) involving MSME players in Tapandullu Beach, Mamuju Regency. The results showed that the application of sharia principles not only increases the competitiveness of MSMEs in a sustainable manner, but also helps in maintaining ethical values and social responsibility. MSMEs and managers have three groups of stakeholders that must be taken into account in every accountability. FGD participants identified key challenges such as limited capital, poor marketing, and product quality. Proposed solutions included access to Islamic financing, digital cooperation, and skills training. The findings are expected to guide other MSME players in formulating suitable strategies, so that they can improve their position and contribution in the global market more effectively.

Abstract

This study aims to analyse the design of development strategies for the management of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in the Mekong River region of Vietnam and their impact on the local economy. A qualitative approach was used through FGDs and site surveys to understand the location patterns of MSMEs and the factors that influence their success in improving community welfare. The results show that strategic geographic location, taking into account accessibility, resource availability, and government policy support, plays an important role in determining policies to improve MSMEs' operational efficiency and expand markets. However, challenges such as limited access to capital, lack of access to banking and lack of managerial skills hinder the development of MSMEs in the region.

Abstract

Abstract

This study investigates the relationship between infrastructure investment and economic growth in Indonesia, given the economic challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic. With the country's focus on a 20-year development plan, emphasizing human capital and global competitiveness, the research aims to provide insights for policymakers to formulate effective economic strategies. Using a quantitative approach and linear regression analysis, the study examines data spanning 2017-2022 sourced from official government platforms. Infrastructure investment, economic growth, and control variables such as inflation, government spending, and population growth are analyzed. The findings underscore the importance of stable inflation, efficient government spending, and controlled population growth for sustained economic development. In conclusion, this research provides valuable insights for policymakers, suggesting a need to prioritize infrastructure projects to stimulate economic growth. However, the study encourages further research to identify specific infrastructure initiatives that yield the most significant impact on economic development.
