Abstract

This study examines the influence of social influence, religiosity, performance expectancy, and empathy on donation intention toward the Palestine Children’s Relief Fund (PCRF), promoted by celebrity Jae Park. Data were analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) with the Partial Least Squares (PLS) method via SmartPLS 3. The respondents were 180 millennials aged 29–44 who had seen Jae Park’s PCRF campaign on social media. The findings reveal that social influence and religiosity do not directly affect donation intention, whereas performance expectancy shows a significant positive effect. However, both social influence and religiosity significantly affect empathy, which in turn indirectly influences donation intention. Empathy functions as a full mediator between social influence and religiosity and donation intention, suggesting that empathy represents an important and compelling mediating variable to examine, given its essential role in motivating charitable behavior.

Abstract

Given the importance of entrepreneurship, secondary education has increasingly incorporated it into the curriculum. However, at MTs Nurul Ihsan in Muaragembong District, Bekasi Regency, West Java, entrepreneurship has not yet been implemented in either formal learning. This activity aims to foster an early interest in entrepreneurship among MTs Nurul Ihsan students. The activities took place from March to June 2026 and comprised three stages: socialization, implementation, and monitoring and evaluation. Implementation involved entrepreneurship education and a practical “Market Day 2026” event. Educational sessions included lectures, case studies, Q&A, and ice-breaking activities. Market Day 2026 was held twice. In the first session, student groups sold food or beverages using provided startup capital; they competed based on criteria such as food/drink materials, packaging, taste, marketing, sales volume, teamwork, and communication. In the second session, the school allowed students involved in the Student Council (OSIS) to sell products again. Test results showed an increase in the average score from 79.17 (pre-test) to 84.58 (post-test)—a rise of 5.41 points—placing the performance in the “good” category. Evaluation from Google Forms revealed that 55% of students were interested in entrepreneurship, 38% were undecided, and 7% were uninterested. Those interested expressed a preference for snacks and resellers. Furthermore, the personality traits revealed aligned with the characteristics of an entrepreneur. This initiative should be further developed to cultivate entrepreneurial interest through sustained education and mentoring focused on entrepreneurship and soft skills.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the mediating role of global motives, namely attitude, perceived behavioral control, and subjective norms in the influence of self-identity and conspicuous value on purchase intention for imported luxury handbags. The sampling technique used was purposive sampling. To test all variables, the researcher distributed questionnaires to 304 millennials residing in Jakarta who have knowledge of imported luxury handbags but have never purchased them. Data analysis was conducted using SEM-PLS with smartPLS 4.0 software. The results show that self-identity, conspicuous value, and perceived behavioral control do not influence purchase intention. In contrast, attitude and subjective norms exhibit an effect on purchase intention. Furthermore, self-identity influences attitude, perceived behavioral control, and subjective norms. Conspicuous value, on the other hand, has an effect on attitude but does not directly affect perceived behavioral control or subjective norms. Additionally, the study finds no mediating role of global motives (attitude, perceived behavioral control, and subjective norms) in the relationship between self-identity and purchase intention. However, attitude and subjective norms fully mediate the effect of conspicuous value on purchase intention, whereas perceived behavioral control does not. Keywords: Self-Identity; Conspicuous Value; Attitude; Perceived Behavioral Control; Subjective Norms; Purchase Intention.
