Abstract

The development of information and communication technology in the current globalization has been very rapid especially among the general public. One of them is augmented relity  technology that is very developed as an application in the field of promotion and sales. Augmented relity  itself is one of the technologies in object recognition in the field of multimedia. Augmented relity  is a merger between two worlds, namely the virtual world into the real world, in other words objects in the virtual world we can display to the real world. The application of the concept of Augmented relity  can increase the effectiveness and recognition of an object to be interesting. The recognition of an object by means of ordinary 2-dimensional images as a promotional medium, considered unattractive and does not utilize developing technology. In this case, the object introduced by Augmented relity  technology is a typical food area of Sumatra, including North Sumatra, South Sumatra and West Sumatra. Because in this day and age the introduction of regional specialties is less known by the people of Indonesia. Therefore, researchers created "Sumatran Food Introduction Media Using Android-Based Augmented relity  Technology". This introductory media will be designed using 3D Unity Software and the process will run through android smartphones. On the smartphone will be made an application called Regional Special Foods.Keywords: Smartphone; Android; Media.

Abstract

Bencana alam adalah peristiwa yang mengancam dan menggangu kehidupan manusia yang disebabkan oleh factor alam  sehingga mengakibatkan timbulnya korban jiwa, kerusakan lingkungan, kerugian harta benda, dan dampak spikologis. Penyebab bencana alam gempa bumi adalah pelepasan energi yang dihasilkan oleh tekanan yang disebabkan oleh lempengan yang bergerak. Semakin lama tekanan itu kian membesar dan akhirnya mencapai pada keadaan dimana tekanan tersebut tidak dapat ditahan lagi oleh pinggiran lempeng. Upaya penanganan bencana alam perlu edukasi kepada masyarakat dapat  mengalami perubahan tindakan dan upaya yg dilakukan agar masyarakat tidak menjadi korban dalam bencana alam, metode edukasi ini dapat mendorong masyarakat agar kesiapsiagaan demi menghadapi bencana alam  gempa bumi, tsunami, longsor, dan gunung meletus. Upaya ini agar masyarakat paham dan mengerti factor-faktor yang memicu terjadinya bencana alam. Fungsi dari animasi stop motion agar masyrakat sekitar lebih paham dalam menghadapi bencana alam, agar masyarakat juga melakukan kesiapsiagaan terhadap bencana alam, dan masyarakat bisa melakukan titik yang aman jika terjadi bencana alam. Dengan adanya animasi stop motion ini dapat mengurangi dampak dari koban bencana alam, dan dapat mengetahu hal-hal apa saja yang dilakukan jika terjadinya bencana alam. Dari hasil data kuisioner dari 10 orang  responden  yang melihat animasi hampir 80 % pengguna dapat memahami  dari hasil animasi tersebut, dan dapat diberikan kepada dunia pendidikan serta dapat juga menjadi media pembelajaran bagi masyarakat yang  tidak mengetahui hal-hal yang dilakukan ketika datangnya bencana alam. Sesuai dari kuisioner tersebut dapat mendapatkan kepuasan dalam animasi tersebut. Dari hasil proses pembuatan animasi dapat disimpulkan dalam aspek-aspek yg dilihat dari hasil data kusioner sangat cocok kepada masyarakat dan mendapatkan kepuasan dari penilaian tersebut.

Abstract

In today's technological developments, information (messages) is a basic need for society. Therefore the security of an information is very important. To secure the information required a technique that can secure the data, namely cryptography. Therefore, the author makes an application that can keep confidential information. In this application, the author uses a cryptographic method, namely the hill cipher method, where the hill cipher has two processes in encoding messages, namely encryption and description. In this encryption and description process, a matrix key is used. The matrix key used by the author is a 2x2 matrix. Making this application using the Python programming language. The result to be achieved from this research is the creation of an application that can encode confidential information (messages).

Abstract

Kesalahan dalam pemilihan peminatan program studi oleh mahasiswa merupakan masalah yang dapat memengaruhi hasil akademik dan masa depan akademik mereka. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengatasi masalah tersebut dengan menerapkan metode data mining menggunakan algoritma Apriori dalam konteks identifikasi pola asosiasi antara mata kuliah dalam program studi Teknik Informatika di Universitas Harapan Medan Fakultas Teknik dan Komputer. Dengan menggunakan algoritma ini, penelitian ini memberikan solusi untuk merancang kurikulum yang lebih efisien dan relevan dengan kebutuhan mahasiswa serta industri. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa algoritma Apriori mampu mengidentifikasi pola asosiasi antara pilihan mata kuliah dan peminatan mahasiswa dengan tingkat kepercayaan yang tinggi. Contohnya adalah korelasi antara stambuk mahasiswa dan pilihan program studi tertentu seperti Multimedia dan Jaringan. Analisis ini memberikan wawasan yang berharga bagi universitas dalam mengoptimalkan penyusunan kurikulum agar lebih sesuai dengan minat dan kebutuhan mahasiswa, sehingga dapat meningkatkan kualitas pendidikan tinggi. Dengan menggunakan rumus Apriori dilakukan langkah algoritma dengan mencari Itemset Frekuensi, Support, Confidence, Pruning, dan Generate Aturan Asosiasi. Penelitian ini menemukan asosiasi antara stambuk dan pilihan program studi mahasiswa di Universitas Harapan Medan Fakultas Teknik dan Komputer. Sebagai contoh, terdapat asosiasi yang signifikan antara stambuk 2021 dan program studi Multimedia, di mana 40% dari mahasiswa dengan stambuk 2021 juga memilih program studi Multimedia, dengan tingkat kepercayaan sebesar 76,67%.

Abstract

Early mastery of technology is a crucial step in preparing young generations to face the challenges of the digital era. Therefore, introducing computer devices to elementary school students is essential. This study aims to develop an educational media based on Augmented Reality (AR) as an interactive learning tool for introducing computer devices to elementary school students. This educational media is designed to facilitate a more engaging and immersive learning process by visualizing computer devices in three dimensions and allowing students to interact with virtual objects. Through the use of AR, students can learn about computer components such as monitors, keyboards, mice, and CPUs in a more interactive and enjoyable way. Trials conducted in several elementary schools students indicate that the use of this media improves students' understanding of computer device concepts compared to conventional teaching methods. Therefore, this AR-based educational media is expected to serve as an innovative alternative in information technology education at the elementary school level.

Abstract

In this community service activity we are developing an internet network that will be used by schools in rural areas, one of the areas in Stabat City in building this internet network we use the ubnt antenna which is reliable in spreading signals in the countryside and our goal is to build an internet network in the village, namely to help the community in obtaining information that is currently very fast and the obstacles that the surrounding community has are very difficult to connect to the internet network after the team pays attention to the problem because of the large number of palm trees that make it very difficult to get a signal in the village and even the school when the school is very fast. The obstacle that the village has is that the signal in the village is not up to 2 bars so that the surrounding community is very difficult to connect to the internet network after the team noticed the problem because of the large number of palm trees which made the signal very difficult to get by local residents and even schools currently have difficulty in the learning process, let alone accessing dapodik owned by the school which must be connected to the internet network.

Abstract

This study examines the implementation of the Watershed method for segmenting images of traditional Padang cuisine with the aim of improving culinary object recognition accuracy. Padang dishes possess complex visual characteristics, where multiple food components such as rice, side dishes, chili sauce, and vegetables are presented on a single plate. These elements often overlap and exhibit similar colors and textures, making image segmentation challenging when using conventional methods. Therefore, the Watershed algorithm was selected due to its ability to separate objects based on intensity variations and object contours, even when boundaries are unclear or blurred. The research process begins with image data collection from a publicly available Kaggle dataset containing various Padang food images. The preprocessing stage includes RGB to grayscale conversion, Gaussian blur filtering, and histogram equalization to enhance image quality and reduce noise. Subsequently, thresholding is applied to produce binary images, followed by distance transform to identify object cores. Marker determination is then performed to distinguish foreground and background regions, which serve as the basis for the Watershed segmentation process. The Watershed algorithm operates by simulating water flooding from predefined markers until meeting points form object boundaries. Experimental results show that the method can generate clear separation lines between food objects in visually complex scenes. However, quantitative evaluation reveals that the segmented foreground area remains relatively small, indicating that further optimization is required. Overall, the Watershed method demonstrates potential for handling overlapping objects and unclear boundaries, and can serve as a foundation for future culinary image analysis systems.

Abstract

In an increasingly competitive business environment, accurate revenue forecasting is crucial for strategic decision-making. This study implements the ARIMA (AutoRegressive Integrated Moving Average) model to predict the monthly revenue of CV. Yusindo Mega Persada using historical data from January to December 2024. The ARIMA(1,1,1) model was selected based on stationarity tests and analysis of Autocorrelation Function (ACF) and Partial Autocorrelation Function (PACF) plots. Diagnostic tests confirmed that the model met key assumptions, including normality of residuals and absence of significant autocorrelation, ensuring reliable predictions. The forecasting results for January to March 2025 indicated a relatively stable revenue trend, with values ranging from IDR 483 million to IDR 489 million. Model accuracy was evaluated using the Mean Absolute Percentage Error (MAPE), which resulted in 9.41%, suggesting reasonable predictive performance. The findings demonstrate that ARIMA is capable of capturing trends and fluctuations in dynamic revenue data, providing actionable insights for management in financial planning, resource allocation, and risk mitigation. Despite the model’s effectiveness, external factors such as market fluctuations and seasonal events may influence actual revenue, indicating the need to combine quantitative forecasts with expert judgment. Overall, this study confirms that the ARIMA(1,1,1) model is a practical and reliable tool for revenue forecasting in a dynamic business environment.
